- Today we document the race to 2b2t's Nether world border, a survival expedition that took over 13 months, 30 million Minecraft blocks, and the shocking result that nobody expected on the oldest anarchy server in Minecraft.

No the result of plugins that patch elytra flying also made normal legitimate elytra gliding much more prone to randomly stopping, and sometimes wings don't open up at all. FitMC actually explains this in some of their videos(eg. The one about the piston flying machine that loaded chunks on its own).

Just keep in mind that the length of all the 3 americas from north to south is just about 15.000 kilometers, while the nether tunnel mentioned in this video is 2 times longer.
The equator is about 40.000 km. That means they almost dug around the world.

This story is wholesome in a way. Since it’s 2B, it’d seem like the person who made the bot wouldn’t care that someone else was trying to do it. It’s just nice to see that he felt bad and decided to help them.

I love how even years on some player still have immense power on the server. The dichotomy is have a man wrap drive technology and a caveman. The gap between certain player is crazy.
Hare is a legend for apologizing and encouraging the group to finish the project
F in the chat for the dig team. They attempt the tunnel, then someone else does it, then when they finally reach it, someone else reached it before them. Not a good year for the dig team.
But they got there through legitimate means. Iron exploited, and the other player used a bot (Exploiting the game).

Steve meant it in the way that people who actively try to win a war before it begins, that innocent people die and Sun Tzu meant it in the way of preparing for the war. If you stockpile weapons, ammunition, armor, food, etc. before a war begins, you are most likely going to win the war because you are more prepared for it
Just like Hare used the bot and knew he'd win, even though there was no malicious intent to the group, they didn't have the same tools and efficiency.

Scicraft did a journey to all 12 borders, and demonstrates the portal glitch.
Their end portal machine was so much more incredible though, and I highly recommend watching their vid just for that. It was insanely complicated:

So to put this into perspective,
the diameter of the earth is approximately 12,742 km
So to get to the border, they had to dig through, essentially, 2 and a half earths...
holy shit this changes everything!
And i think about the size of Saturn or 3/4 of the BEAK planet
Distance of earth is 44 thousand kilometers
But since 1 block in the nether is 8 in the overworld, they literally just dug though the equivalent of 16 earths!

The bot making it there before the dig team and actually working exceptionally well just shows us all that AI is getting smarter. Imagine Baritone bot AI being used in real world warfare
I don't think it was some kind of neural network or ML bot, hard coding a bot like that would actually be really easy because the rules are simple (avoid lava, dig, repair, move)

Truly the scale to which the 2B2T's players will go to, to pull off these accomplishments just blows my mind. Congrats to the dig team! No hacks, no exploits, just hard work and grinding it out. You might've not been first to the border, but you were first not to have a hollow victory. Take pride in that.

We don't know Barney P Winkleton someone must of traveled more than 12 millions blocks to generate them and they could of went anywhere. Not many 2b2t players played in Beta 1.3 to Beta 1.7 that time the farlands existed even in the nether but not many players played back in 2011 so idk. Also everyone started going to the world border (overworld) during 2017 and generated new chunks. So the chances of finding the netherfarlands are slim. I want to say one more thing Fit did make 2 videos and EVEN AntVenom said they could likely exist we just have to find them. Not many players went that far in the nether so I don't know. The only players (if they found them) that know where the farlands were located maybe have quit. The Nether farlands are gonna have slim chances. If we do find them we could most likely see the overworld farlands. But of course griefers.
