Santa Cruz are in the forefront of Scandinavian "eighties influenced metal" in my opinion. But there's also superb "newcomers" like BULLETRAIN with their excellent album "What You Fear The Most".
I have a confession. God, I miss the old Santa Cruz with Johny's doodily- doo.. You all know what I mean... Nothing against Archie, but the old Santa Cruz was one of the best bands this world was honored to see.
If it sounds like these guys are stuck in 1987, then all I can say is "GOOD"!!! The world needs more upbeat, hard-charging, straight-ahead, in-you-face rock and metal.
FINALLY!! It's about time 80's Hair makes a comeback. Best new song I've heard in YEARS. Chorus vocals finally have the right reverb/80's group scream to it. Hope these guys make it to the states. No way I'd miss them. These guys freaking ROCK!!!

Now santa cruz is just creating pop with guitar flavor. The bassist was now part of Bodom After Midnight and the other guitarist is producing now songs for other bands like Amaranthe or Lost Society
This is probably the best "modern" glam rock song ever made. It has everything, the sleaze, the hair, the attitude and most importantly it's tied to a really fucking good song. I'm a dude and I've had long hair for going on 15 years now and I would literally kill a man to have mine look that good.

Great to see a younger generation embrace a great sound from decades ago. The 80's glam sound was so saturated though it was refreshing when a little band called Nirvana took a sledge hammer to the cases of hairspray that was set to be shipped out to all those riding the gravy train. The wave was finally over and few were able to make the transition. I loved it, then I hated it, and now it's awesome to see another generation revive it for those who never knew how very fucking cool it was to grow up in the eighties!
These guys aren't the glam metal like Bon Jovi, Britny Fox, Faster Pussycat or RATT. These guys are like late Mötley Crüe, Skid Row, FireHouse, and XYZ. More talented than the carbon copies they hail from.
Criss Wikked Mötley Crüe and Skid Row are no carbon copies. They're individual, top notch glam bands. Mötley Crüe actually is among the pioneers of the style, they started out in 1981. And it was bands like Mötley, that popularized glam metal. So in no way are Mötley a carbon copy.

These guys are sick! They might just be my new favorite band of all time surpassing my love for Guns N' Roses. I even got my 11yr old brother into them so much that he now fangirls over them. I can't wait till they come to the states again, i missed them last time they were here because of Senior Finals.

It's the production that gives this track and album that absolute, pure, gritty but clean 80's sound. This would NOT have sounded out of place in '88 or '89. A proper, and true throw back album!!!
I really hope this band is a sign that better times are ahead, times reminiscent of the 80's and early 90's when bands sang about having a good time, they could play their instruments, and they looked like they belonged on stage. I think I hear some L.A. Guns influence.
