Love the series, but please bring back the episode numbers in the names and thumbnails. I usually watch them in bunches and it's much easier to figure out which comes first.
The metro right now is not making any sense with how long it is with all the weird turns. Terribly inefficient. If you came by train for example and want to go somewhere, you have to sit on a long route with a weird turn. A lot of waste capacity.
Where there is the big bus station, I would replace it with a Large Underground Metro Station. This way, you can make multiple lines going in different directions without having one long one with weird turns. It will be more efficient and make more sense.
You’ll also need to find a way to solve the traffic jam of trams at the same place. There are tram hubs in the workshop I believe.
Also, don’t forget to significantly grow your farm and oil industries. There is a factory using the product of the two. Don’t use general industries as it creates as many jobs, but way less money. Just use your industries. Don’t forget to invest in the stock market in them before growing them substantially.
The train station at crown farm would still need road connection because it will need access to city services like garbage collection.
Plus services for the trains to befixed if they break down or for workers at the station

-The purple tramline is running right past Centraal. Would be nice to put a stop there perhaps?
-I am wondering if your metroline is missing a stop now at a station somewhere in the middle.
-Those trams backing up in front of the busterminal is getting crazy. I think it would be cool to get them individual stops, on seperated tramline only roads (would look cute on an angle I think).
- Your innercity line stops at the same place in the station as the outer city trains. Unlike busses, trains do wait and can cause backups.
- the bus depot is causing a lot of traffic at your busy roundabout it seems.
- A station needs road acces so police, fire and garbage trucks can reach it.
- Just for visual effect: There's more beautiful looking ways to connect multiple trainlines. If you allow multiple raillines run straight into one diagonal line, they all hook up and it will look amazing! Just like a feather.

Thanks for the idea about feeding into a diagonal line, will try that! Also, is there a way to tell the intercity line to use a different platform?
@@WhatDarrenPlays lol Oh no, intercity bus and train drivers are very rude people. They will always take one particular stop, no matter what. I've tried to make other stops more attractive with balloons and fairy lights, but those drivers just don't care about anything.
If you want to avoid having local and intercity trains pile up, add an extra line at the main station. You don't see one platform for all the trains in real life, do you?
(As already noted in other comments, the trains act very differently from other public transport. Adapt to the differences)

49:45 my city has a station where you can go directly to the "perrons" like we call them here in belgium. (Station Tielt, Belgium with population of 20 000)
Gothenburg Central Station is also open. They just check your tickets on the train. It's more a UK thing to have them closed off and require a gate line.
I have to agree with you. I just visited Copenhagen for 5 days and their public transport system is insanely good. During the day the metro has like 3 minute intervals. It is absolutely amazing to use. And I am used to good public transport having lived in Stuttgart, Cologne and Hamburg (all Germany) my whole life!
I was particularly impressed by the fact that it was driverless as well

Love the vids and love what you are doing with the city. And hope you enjoyed the netherlands. Little tip for the trainstation(s); lines never irl never join with 3 at the same point. It always merges from the outside inwards. See the merging at Amsterdam station. For crown farmes you cab maybe see the middle line as the line that does not need to stop at the station and lines 1 and 3 as stopping lines. You can also see this at Amsterdam station. Greetings from a dutch viewer.

Loving the series so far. Just a couple of suggestions/tips
You can use move it to align heights of things. Select what you want to change the height of and press ctl + h and select what you want it to match heights with.
Also, you might want to consider keeping you cargo and passenger rails separate. Cargo is slower and can get quite congested
The station in the farm needs road connection to collect rubbish and have fire coverage etc but you could ban all vehicles except City services in TMPE?
Well done, Transportation in City Skyline is one of my favorite parts, I wish to see more in this series.
I love it when you go off on tangents, and also when you show real pictures of towns, more of that please!
The one thing i can say im from a bigger city and the way our bus system works is each line has a stop every couple blocks so you don't have to walk as far, so id say more stops😊

What i like to do in my city is to build few little villages in scenic places some distance from the capital. You could connect them by train and utilize additional lines of your central station

I still think we REALLY need another bridge connecting Kilnwood and Robin Hills! Love that we have trains now kind of ringing the area. I wonder if that will ever become an actual circle or branch into the populated area. I definitely think the metro could use a makeover as it seems to snake through in a strange way and doesnt seem really coherent. But as always loving this playthrough!
how evil, you've given Swords its own Tushmore roundabout with lights on it, now stick a tram line(fastway) through the middle and it will be complete

You may consider another types of metro stations (2 tracks parallel or X shaped), for the central area. As you mentioned you have the content creator packs, check the stations there, there are more combinations available, perfectly fitting your city center.
Darren, where I live, the trainlines do not have trees or bushes left in their vicinity, as it can be a fire hazard. Those huge powerlines in the wires above the trantracks can zap electricity out at anytime basically, as their high voltage makes them dangerous. I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in eastern Europe we don't leave it to chance 😂

Yes, it happens! At the Groningen train station in the Netherlands, you can walk onto the platforms without going through a big entrance

so you make a pedestrian bridge over a train line but then let them walk over a super busy road? Why not use a bridge over the busy roads as well?
Also, why don't you use tunnels more? for walking and cars. You choose contantly to let pedestrians walk over (busy) roads. That does not help the flow of fraffice.

Anyway, i dont know if it’s something you plan on doing or even can do but I would love to see more specialized industries, I just think that’s such a cool and intricate system. Love the videos and can’t wait for the next one!
Edit: Sorry I don’t have any tips for public transport. We have one bus route in our town and the closest public train is close to two hours away
I lived in Lisbpn for a year and there are a few train stations where you could just walk on. You still have to scan you card, but there are no booms or anything. Like a trust system.

If you replace the roundabout with traffic lights with an intersection, you save space.
The roundabout with traffic lights makes no sense, because the cars stop anyway and do not - as it should be in a traffic circle - get to the next exit without much braking.

There are plenty of roundabouts where I live that use traffic lights, its usually for roundabouts with more than 4 exits, but not always. I find that it can work well in certain situations as you can allow more cars to move whereas with a junction everyone has to wait until they arent crossing anyone’s path. With a roundabout you can sort of choose how many exits a car can pass. For instance with 4 exits, N.S.E.W. You can stop the north side and allow the S.E.W. sides to keep moving, but with a 4 way junction, you cannot allow S.E.W. to keep moving because the west side and the east side might collide if theyre both trying to go north at the same time. They’d cross paths as it were, whereas with a roundabout you never cross paths.
Denver Union Station has an open platform similar to Central Station in this build.
Passenger surface rail/tram in my experience does usually involve an open platform, usually right off the sidewalk. You pay upon entry just like with a bus, even the ones in Boston where they switch between surface/elevated and subway with the same cars.
I just really feel like creating a proper interchange that goes two ways for the farms could really help the economy and help you products reach their destination faster
Like the other commenters said, I think it makes more sense to have multiple metro lines with interchanges instead of one weird route. However, I do think it would be best to consider planning for the centraal area to be the major interchange for the metro lines as well. Although, in real life, most transit planners would argue that having multiple interchanges around the downtown area is more efficient as they spread the crowd around before hitting the very core if downtown. Not sure if that applies to this game engine.
They have that open main station in Zürich, which felt quite weird. It has a beautiful main gate area but on the sides, its open

Lol yeah the UK is mostly built on top of other older stuff so our cities are dreadfully designed. I'm from Portsmouth, which is literally an island and should just be levelled tbh. But nope, 'historical importance' and all that lol

You talking about Amsterdam when the trams is stopped at a certain time of the night and then uses run out the Buses taken make a daytime only and then night-time only won't Battle of cities Skylines if you make that date I'm only and the passengers on the Night-Time will still you up for that stop too early morning to the Tram finally Road out is just City Skylines logic I when I first time played this I found out and I just asked kept on the night just leave it running on dn8 for your public transport play Above 785 passengers at one bus stop one time that was only a daytime route to just leave the Monday night😊
