Really liked the video and the gear brings a refreshing update on the traditional gear. Lovely chap too.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow, that switchback is genius! I don't like wearing a rucksack whilst riding but I like having one when I'm off the bike, it also seems perfect for the "one way" trips you can end up doing on a bike like dropping it off with a mechanic, picking up a new bike, riding to the airport etc. Brilliant idea and it's in a similar price range to other premium rucksacks/tailbags whilst being both at once.
Totally agree!
In the past year, I have purchased 3 different types of tail bags/rucksacks trying to get the right one. But instead of the right one, I now have 3 separate ones that are situational.
I wish the Switchback was out earlier it would have solved all of my problems. It looks like an amazing little piece of kit.
super innovative rear reack bag that turns into a backpack. would be good to see best practivies strappeing it to a rear rack or a standard givi topbox plate like an M5 . i was wondering why the backpack cost less than the switchback but makes sense with its 2 in 1 feature. very clever.
Very cool. Perfect illustration of why design and styling are not to be confused. Bought a Malle panier bag which is lovely quality but mostly the later and frustrates in its lack of effective design. Good luck Wentworth
The switchback tail bag is a genius idea!! But could you make one that fitted on a sportbike? 🙏🙏 Sure it would need to be half the size - but us sportbike riders only need to hold all the girls knickers that get thrown at us! 😂
It would be something around 3L, but the expansion would make it super handy for a quick shop and build in the side option for the helmet like your Sidekick full sized bag. If you want a tester I will happily do it on my S1000R as I would love to ditch the full time backpack that is only on me for my waterproofs and the occasions when I need to carry stuff.
Great to see innovation in the space, so many companies make so much gear but most of them ignore the practicalities of riding. How do you deal with locks / gear / helmet when you get where you're going, especially without a top box which could be taken off the bike with your helmet inside. Then how do you get home with no helmet? The strap and the switchback are clearly trying to solve these problems. The switchback looks great, keep the locks in it when riding, then when parked you can lock up, take it off the bike and stick your helmet in the bag. Excellent utility.
Nicely said!
I'd never heard of Wentworth until I watched this review, I'm impressed with their kit and really like the Switchback tailpack/backpack, very innovative , I will certainly be adding one to my soft luggage collection this year.
Great to hear!

Those cobra buckles hold up well too. Easy on/off, but very tough, unlike the usual plastic stuff.
If only the tailbag came in tan colour. It would be perfect for my needs. The video even shows this on a bike with a tan seat and you can see how smart this would look if it matched that.
Good tool roll.
Hi. Just received my Switchback, via Urban Rider, and it@s looking really good. Solid piece of kit. But, with some amazingly long fastening straps, so I cannot figure out exactly the best way to fit it to the back of my Bonnie T120 (with a rear luggage rack). No website available, only kickstarter, no instructions with the bag, no UA-cam videos... Any good ideas?
Ooh first to comment. Make it a a good one. Good stuff, looks good and well made, nicely thought out, love the dual purpose. Great for short commute.
Thanks! 👍
I've never heard of them, and they will probably be ideal in some riders' eyes, but there are cheaper options out there that would do the job just as good.
I would like to see a real-world test to see if they are worth the cost.
Like so much out there, stick the word motorbike in front and add a price tag .
Ouch, what happened to the fingers?
Nice gear...
Thanks 👍
