That's what I call two good friends. The one buddy that lost was a great sport about it and that was a great video to watch. I enjoy the top water explosion 💥 💥💥💥
Man I love the consistency of your interaction with your subscribers and fans. So many guys these days don’t bother, but it makes a difference. Have really become a big fan of yours and it’s for the same reason that people always loved Jimmy Houston, Bill Dance, Roland Martin, etc... What do you all have in common? Simple... Just good guys who are humble, grateful, and talented...
Dude your channel is my favorite one as of now, mostly just fishing and great shots and sound, please don’t turn into the other guys with all the other b.s.! Love it man, your okeechobee footage was amazing!
I like how you used the time laps in the video. It shows how you run & gun thru out the day, while catching as well. A much truer example of a day on the water.
The two things that seem to get me the most Choppo bites are: 1- When I start it up the instant it hits the water without letting it sit. 2- Steady reel it, medium speed, and add occasional micro pauses during the retrieve. I’m talking stop reeling, but instantly start back. Like as soon as I stop the handle turn I start it back up. The majority of my Choppo bites come within two or three feet into the retrieve after the instant start, and right after what I’m calling the micro pause.
And thank God, Berkley started making hard baits again. For the money they are easily best bang for ur buck. Great colors to the Fusion trebles. Easily best stock hooks on the market. I own every style
Should reel it in alot slower, pop it more, and stop it. Guarantee more hits. Don't be afraid to hit deep water with them. Loud prop will draw them in to come up at it. Learned alot from just focusing on the lure within early morning, during the day to late evening. Even in windy choppy waters, I've succeeded with alot of catches. Choppo120. Doesn't matter too much on the color as I've used them. It mattered more was with the action.
Appreciate it man! Yes, they are medium heavy, but do have a little softer action to them. Plus the 120 Choppo weighs an ounce and has #2 trebles so you can get away with a true medium heavy with it in my opinion.
Next time yall should try this...paper rock scissors for who starts on the front then everytime the person on the front catches a fish you switch places.
Love a good topwater video! We’re into November here in North TX and I still can’t get off the topwater bite. That orange accent at the front of the bait was smart IMO. I agree on the sound. Sometimes a higher pitch sound can be better, but more often than not I prefer the lower pitch sound for topwater. It carries farther in the water and as you mentioned...it’s an aggressive bait!
Dude i just bought this rod TODAY just because of this video.. an man for 79$ u can NOT BEAT THE QUALITY... SERIOUSLY. i have over 100$ rods that dont feel as good as that rod. I paired it with a lews speed spool an omg.. Heaven.. J/Lucas i blame u why im 79$ broker.. but i love the rod
Awesome stuff y’all still sorry for fishing burton without me lol 😂 it’ll be so good this winter ❄️ I can already see it but also not used to the spots to be that long and bony this time of year normally they are fat fat but awesome as always Lucas !!!!
Justin Lucas Fishing yes most definitely I’ve got another lake that you should try sometime hiwasee lake !!! Definitely a 💎 to fish it’s a beautiful place with some bigs in it !
Now I'm kinda confused on the braid with fast action rod on treble hook top water setup? Better than flouro but I've learned from pros like you that best is crankbait style rod as in parabolic bend to set the treble properly. Now I've fished 7'2 rod MH Fast action but use Trilene Big game mono for the stretch and for the money it's the best. I just always used and thought braid was more for single hook or frog style setups????
Braid is also awesome for almost any topwater but you need to use a softer rod. The strength of rod should depend on the size of the treble hooks on the bait.
@@JustinLucasFishing I do see it alot more often now with ppl throwing whopper poppers or choppos on braid which makes sense when casting long distances and setting the hooks well. So should I use like my MH composite crankbait rod if I choose to use braid??
We ran 4, but only used 3. I am editing everything myself dude. That’s why there’s no music lol! Too time consuming to find the right music and where to make it fit. That’s the next thing I need to learn though.
@@JustinLucasFishing Dang bro good job; I figured a bass pro like yourself wouldn't have to edit but anyways you are certainly getting all the #angles. Went ahead and subscribed!

Awesome fun video guys !! Your banter was hilarious 😂

Thanks for the kind words Todd. Much appreciated sir!
@@JustinLucasFishing Most welcome man! All the best to you in the next step on your ladder to the top!!
The choppos are amazing. I have almost landed some monsters already but ive gotten a good bit on it. Very fun to use
Great video man👊those all black Choppos are so sick. Definitely going to have to find some.
Thanks dude! Appreciate it 👍
Love the Choppo! You guys both win the challenge in my book, those were some very nice Bass!
Thanks dude! 👊

Huge compliment dude! I plan on keeping it this way. Thanks for the feedback!
Hey Justin.....Fantastic edits and content on all of your Videos.....keep up the Great work
Bought my first two. 120(maverick black) and 90(bone). Can’t wait to give them a try!
Hope you catch some hogs dude!
And no one said "That's Fire" in this video. Thank God. Nice content guys.
Appreciate it man!
I like how you used the time laps in the video. It shows how you run & gun thru out the day, while catching as well. A much truer example of a day on the water.
Appreciate it dude. I will keep that in mind in future vids! 👊
Great video footage, I’m buying my first set of Choppo’s this week.
Thanks! Hope they work just as well for you as they did for us!

I agree that’s when a lot of bites come!
I often get a big snakehead with this choppo..its like a killer lure for me..but this black choppo doesnt sold in my country 😅...i need to find one
Great video man!!!!
Thank you very much dude!
Now that's🎣ing👊🏿💪🏿!
👊
I have choppos in 75, 105, and 120.
Love the black(Maverick)120.
Love the Choppo........even more than that other one hahaha
Yo Justin! Awesome vid man ... was just wondering if you prefer the 90 or the 105 choppo and why ??
I like the 90 if I am targeting fish that are 1lb-4lb. If they are bigger than that in the lake I am fishing I bump up to the 105 or 120
I like your spot, i think i need this choppo it will replace the popper, im using the ultralight setup and this might be the solution on popping.
Let me know how it works for you!
And thank God, Berkley started making hard baits again. For the money they are easily best bang for ur buck. Great colors to the Fusion trebles. Easily best stock hooks on the market. I own every style
Awesome! I agree. Glad to hear that!

Wow you should make a fishing channel.
Nice fish Debbie!,
I need a buddy like that to fish with..
The Choppo 120 is deadly on Rayburn I throw it a lot for top water bite over throwing the frog and I never see nobody else throw it .
I came for the fishing, but I really want to see how you boys grilled them steaks🤗
I believe reverse seared them but this was a few years ago so my memory might be off! 😂
@@JustinLucasFishing oh nice. I always enjoy preparing steaks that way🤙

🤣 I wish! Just got started on UA-cam. This is my 7th video but lots more to come! Thanks for the sub and comment 👊
Nice lake :) Where is it? For sure it's quite far from my place but I like it. Can you tell me what's the name of it?
That video was awesome
Thanks dude! 👊
Great video i have the same choppo. Haven't had any luck yet though.
Appreciate it dude! Getting close to too cold for topwater bites here in Alabama, but come April and May they will be back on it!
No problem man. That's what i was thinking im definitely going to keep the choppo in my arsenal.
I have one quick question what r those white gloves for i see alot of ppl wearing them?
Great videos and advice, new sub here. So are those medium heavy rods cranking rods though? Moderate action?
Appreciate it man! Yes, they are medium heavy, but do have a little softer action to them. Plus the 120 Choppo weighs an ounce and has #2 trebles so you can get away with a true medium heavy with it in my opinion.
Justin Lucas Fishing thanks brotha. What state are y’all in? That lake is gorgeous
Georgia 👍
Views going up! Loving it.

What's the whole name of the bait and where can u buy them at?

I’ve had zero success on topwater lately. Used to love throwing the River2Sea equivalent but nothing right now.

Go during the cooler months and throw some big baits. It’s stupid!!
I’d love to do that! Maybe this winter!
Cant believe im just now seeing this video !! My backyard bro !! Theres some monster spots in there. Ask me how i know hahaha. Awesome video !!

Gorgeous place for sure dude! Thanks for the sub!
What size Choppo you tossing? 120
Yup. 120s in this vid
do spots and largies hybridize?
Yeah they can. Don’t find them too often.
Funny how money changes everything in everybody 👍👍
Even just $5 lol
It’s a good game with the friend.
No doubt man!
What size Choppo were you using?
120
90% tax 😂😂
Trik umpan pancing yang bagus
love the choppo

What lake???
Burton
what kind of scale was that
It’s a Berkley scale. Not sure of the exact model, but I think it’s available on tackle warehouse!
Whopper plopper knock off!

Marty Cloyd it’s a Choppo

Refreshing NOT to see: 1.Cast with Right Hand 2.Switch Rod to Left Hand. 3.Start Cranking.
Want above average toss a WP 190
50 pounds god damn, I thought I was going over kill with 15 mono lol
Lol! 30lb braid would be the lightest I would use. Just helps you good better hook penetration when you set the hook.
I love this bait. But... out of countless strikes not one made it to the boat. Hook sets are null.
5.38
Had to stop after 5 minutes..too many dude's and bro's..
Sorry man. I grew up in California...can’t help it lol.
Spotted bass? Look like regular large mouths to me.
Subscribed, so I’ll be waiting on my power bait flipping/pitching challenge for $100, a rod, reel, some tackle, etc don’t matter
Cool! Thanks man. Good idea for sure. More stuff coming soon!
