Fried cabbage and vegan candied yams is what I was thinking
Making vegan tofu Parmesan over Farfelle for dinner tomorrow, adding an Italian blend to the flour. Pairing with a creamy, savory, fresh herb spring dressing, romaine, sliced Pepperoncinis, sprouted sunflower seeds, sliced purple onion, cucumber, crumble of blue cheese, garlic bread with the nicest fresh garlic 🫠👌

@@bigdreamer7826 fried cabbage? Oo.. is that a whole recipe or just fry up some sliced cabbage with some seasonings?
@@codexnoir8824 yes, it’s better to me that way, vs boiling it. I throw in peppers & onions and also add extra flavor with some not chicken bouillon added , and my fav seasonings 😋
I just made this, it was amazing!
Also I mixed the remaining dry ingredients with some of the remaining batter, and it became a wobbly sticky "dough". Made little spheres, put a little dot of vegan cheese in them and fried them as well. 10/10 and with virtually no waste!

I'm forever grateful to Mary's Test Kitchen for developing this technique. Just remember only certain types of tofu will develop a flaky chickeny texture after double freezing. A lot of them just go spongey instead.

Im allergic to tofu. I use lion mane mushrooms. I know Andrew hates mushrooms hate mushrooms . Have you all tried it? (oyster and lion tooth mushrooms also)
Lions mane are so good! Awesome texture
We haven't tried it, it can be hard to find here. But I've heard it's amazing!
No soy, tofu, for me. Oyster mushroom is great for recipes.

I love chicken, the flavor of real chicken. I allow myself to eat chicken as i wish, but still identify socially as a strong vegan.

? some vegans like the texture or flavour of meat. that’s completely okay. not everyone is absolutely repulsed at the thought of meat. at least people are respectful enough to NOT eat the real thing.
