Timothee Chalamet was in Wes Anderson’s French Dispatch and now the actor who played the chicken nugget kid is going to be in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City. Not far off LOL
I want to take this moment to appreciate Olivia. The sweetest ray of sunshine this movie brought to us! She is too good and too precious for this world and deserves all the good things in life. I wish I was as good of a person as Olivia was in high school and I do hope Kayla and her stay in touch.
I hope so! That dude must be stopped. I like to believe Olivia would do the right thing and defend Kayla. She seemed like she would understand...and probably be really angry.
Michelle C I could imagine her confronting him, telling him off, & saying that she’ll be telling all the next year’s freshmen girls to steer clear of him
This movie was the first and only movie that has hit me hard in the heart. I found myself crying when she told her dad that she would be sad if she had a child like herself.. I related to that feeling, and I cried when she watched her video from the beginning of middle school. It was probably the best movie I’ve seen and my heart is still aching. :’).. It gets better. Gucci!
I stopped watching Zach Stone after the fifth episode because it was making me feel so bad for Zach, but I'm going to resume watching it some time soon. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY, NOT DEPRESSING
Topaz_no_life if you’re a girl I’m gonna take a wild guess you’re good socially smart and pretty and skinny and if you’re a boy funny athletic and attractive- that’s probably why you had a good experience
I absolutely loved this movie. I’ve definitely had to live the more girl-type life where I was worried about how others viewed me because I’m FTM so in 8th grade I was still seen and still presented as a girl. I went through a very similar scenario like the main character where I had no friends in school. The film really resonated with me and I would definitely recommend it.
Damn, just seeing the trailer of this movie was so eye opening. In my entire life I have never seen any movie or TV show that truly showed what a REAL middle school/ high school girl is. I was blown away, its real. And she looks like a real girl. Something I never had growing up and never had in middle school. I was a huge fan of Bo and this just furthers my respect and love for him.
yo when I saw the trailer for this movie I thought man this is going to be goofy or a great film glad it is the latter also I'm the cheesiest dude I know and I'm proud of it in the words of Chester Cheetah it ain't easy being cheesy!
That movie was SO good. I couldn’t relate to everything in the movie from when I was in middle school, but things like lack of confidence, slouching, being kinda cringy... that was ME. I’m glad I watched that movie and I wished I had watched it when I was in middle school so that I knew that I wasn’t the only weird and awkward kid in middle school. That’s everyone in middle school.
I don't care if you're new to Bo Burham or an old fan - but I am glad he's getting more mainstream recognition and it's great he seems to be doing so well!
Middle school was one of the worst experiences of my life. My spirit was nearly killed then by rotten teachers, bullies, misunderstanding parents and a sleep disorder to boot.
This movie is so relatable to me. I was in eleventh grade when it came out but it was me in 8th grade!!! I went through that car moment, I had a UA-cam channel, and I was awkward af. Idk how Bo got this so right but damn. I felt this movie hard.
I cant wait to watch this movie again. It was so funny and accurate. You can tell that Bo really did study a lot about the internet which is what made it relatable. I think it is good for parents to see as well.
Eight Grade is one of the best movies I've ever watched. The scene with the dad in the backyard legit made me tear up. The movie felt so "real". And the car scene, where she says "NO" is so heavy, like you don't need a full on 13 Reasons Why to teach you about consent. That scene is enough
I remember when Zach stone is gonna be famous would come out around 10 or 11 on mtv at night, I was around idk 12-13 at the time and I remember enjoying the show. It was honestly really good and still til this day I wonder why it wasn’t more popular
Why it works? Easy. Bo Burnham. I don't think we needed a video to know this haha. Regardless, I'm so happy to see Bo being lauded for how much of a genius he is. Good on ya for shouting him out.
I never watch youtube live, but I did when you hit 100k and you and your girlfriend were so awesome and kept me engaged, I loved your recap and was really happy with how you ended it (with you and your lady as superheros) all the best.
i think the thing that makes this movie really good is the realism. like the teachers dab. they add social media. just little details like that make a movie a great one
I could not love this movie more.... was on the verge of tears the whole time both out of feeling so deeply what Kayla felt and appreciating what beautiful and caring character Bo created. SEE THIS MOVIE! I enjoyed it inside and out
Watched this at a screening and Q&A w/ Bo Burnham in my university a couple months back. It was enjoyable and I agree, my 2 favorite characters were the dad and chicken nugget kid.
Just finished watching it and i haven't seen a movie quite like this one. Kayla is a genuinely relatable character during the early teen years. Thanks for the recommendation! ❤
I just started watching you and my honest advice to improve your videos is to explain the scenes for those who haven’t seen it/ those who don’t remember the details because you tend to just refer to the scenes and give your opinion rather than explain briefly what happened ex: “the car scene” but overall good work :)
I'm so happy this film is brilliant - I laughed and cried whilst watching it. I can't wait to see the next film Bo works on but I wish he'd still do comedy tours or at least specials!
OMG. I hated the main character and then I felt sorry for her, exactly how I feel about my younger self. I just wanted to hug her and tell her that everything will be ok
I was disappointed when I saw this video was less than 4 minutes but **chef’s kiss** sometimes you don’t need 2 sequels or 3 seasons or a 20 minute video. Sometimes short and sweet is just right
*"When I sketch up my own kids."* XD
Dat1 Eddie😁😁😁😁
Dat1 Eddie 😂😂😂
chicken nugget kid is the next timothée chalamet
God damn, I said the same thing
Fr lmao
Timothee Chalamet was in Wes Anderson’s French Dispatch and now the actor who played the chicken nugget kid is going to be in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City. Not far off LOL
I want to take this moment to appreciate Olivia. The sweetest ray of sunshine this movie brought to us! She is too good and too precious for this world and deserves all the good things in life. I wish I was as good of a person as Olivia was in high school and I do hope Kayla and her stay in touch.
Michelle C You think Kayla would ever supposedly tell Olivia about what that guy Riley tried to do to her?
I hope so! That dude must be stopped. I like to believe Olivia would do the right thing and defend Kayla. She seemed like she would understand...and probably be really angry.
Michelle C I could imagine her confronting him, telling him off, & saying that she’ll be telling all the next year’s freshmen girls to steer clear of him
Yeah, probably. As long as Kayla gets her justice!
yet olivia left her alone with her older male friend? at night and in a car? bruh
why does that boy look like a white zendaya tf
jerrey n I SAID THE SAME SHIT
Yooo
What boy?
@@layla.a the boy with the blue eyes
Mustaki oh the shirtless one at the pool party?
Im a girl and I just graduated eighth grade, also I’m a big fan of Bo, so excited for this!!!!
Mairead D wtf you mean “graduated”
DerpDaTurt it’s rly stupid they have a “graduation” ceremony at my school when you finish eighth grade and go to high school
Mairead D Same! I’m going to watch it tomorrow and I’m so excited!
I love Bo and I’m a girl who is now going into eighth grade 😅😂
Mairead D same
When the music played everytime "hot boy" came on screen, just blaring and obnoxious, my whole theater erupted in laughter. This movie is too good
...a little cringy you say
GUCCI
👌🏻
"That dad is gonna be me when I SKETCH up my own kids." 💀💀💀 oh you playin this cartoon thing hard
Gucci!
Yeah I liked how she had acne, and normally I hate acne
“Someone who dont treat you like a princess BUT A QUEEN!”
I like that🙌
I wonder and hope LME does something other than watch movies 😂 like does he eat anything else from popcorn
Well yea, he watched series too😂
Well he eats the occasional hot dog
Nice, this movie hasn't come out in my country yet, but I'm excited to see it based on your review!😃
I have loved Bo Burnham ever since I watched “make happy’’ on Netflix
Isabel Aguilar that’s like two years
Isabel Aguilar LOL YOU EDITED THE COMMENT
UnrealPandas um yes, do you have a problem?
Isabel Aguilar you edited your comment after I faked you out because you haven’t loved him “forever”. I just thought it was funny
UnrealPandas well, it felt like forever. You didn’t have to take time out of your day to correct A FIGURE OF SPEECH
Eight made me cry of laughter and cry tears of joy. Also that car scene really triggered me. I cannot recommend this movie enough.
Zach stone is one of the funniest shows I’ve ever seen. It’s criminally underrated
I stopped watching Zach Stone after the fifth episode because it was making me feel so bad for Zach, but I'm going to resume watching it some time soon. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FUNNY, NOT DEPRESSING
Bituin Kleinman-Mell is that that episode with the pool party? Because I straight up couldn't finish that
Kenoch b I think it was the other party episode. I forget names.
The chicken nugget date scene is so innocent and I love it! I love how they both like Rick and Morty
You’d like *The Edge of Seventeen*
"When I sketch up my own kids"
Ahhh man I friggin luv ya lol
I love how you call him Chicken Nugget kid!! Him and Kayla were so cute lol
That talk in the backyard f'd me up, literally bawling my eyes out 😂
was the movie...#deep
The talk in the backyard almost made me cry
I absolutely adore Elsie, she's such a great person and VERY relatable.
I love the fact that he started acting up needing an end and made his own movie I was literally just watching his video when he was on a talk show
Unpopular opinion: I love high school??? I'm a senior and high school has been really good for me.
Can I have your life?
Topaz_no_life if you’re a girl I’m gonna take a wild guess you’re good socially smart and pretty and skinny and if you’re a boy funny athletic and attractive- that’s probably why you had a good experience
Something you can gurantee LME will say is "Let me explain." This is a fact.
The movie was so relatable I had trouble watching it in one sitting-but I did in the end. Damn, I love that film.
that talk in the backyard made me literally cry. it was amazing. the dad was the best!!
I LOVE Bo Burnham!!!!
I absolutely loved this movie. It was the first day of a new term (in 8th grade) and I fell TWICE. Two freaking times.
bro, i watch that talk at the backyard scene when i need a good cry ... bro

Thank you so much for introducing me to Zach Stone is Gonna be Famous! What an absolutely amazing tv show, thank you for telling us all about it.
yo when I saw the trailer for this movie I thought man this is going to be goofy or a great film glad it is the latter also I'm the cheesiest dude I know and I'm proud of it in the words of Chester Cheetah it ain't easy being cheesy!

With a MORTGAGE 😂😭
I don't care if you're new to Bo Burham or an old fan - but I am glad he's getting more mainstream recognition and it's great he seems to be doing so well!
bo burnham is actually amazing... i really love all of his work... i love his songs as well
Middle school was one of the worst experiences of my life. My spirit was nearly killed then by rotten teachers, bullies, misunderstanding parents and a sleep disorder to boot.

OKAY FOR REAL THIS MOVIE CHANGED ME, I COULD SEE MYSELF IN HER AND IT HELPED
AND I FUCKIN LOVED CHICKEN NUGGET KID
I cant wait to watch this movie again. It was so funny and accurate. You can tell that Bo really did study a lot about the internet which is what made it relatable. I think it is good for parents to see as well.
"When i sketch up my own kids" mkay
Long story short: bo burnham is a genius.
Eight Grade is one of the best movies I've ever watched. The scene with the dad in the backyard legit made me tear up. The movie felt so "real". And the car scene, where she says "NO" is so heavy, like you don't need a full on 13 Reasons Why to teach you about consent. That scene is enough
Watch more movies
Dude. The boy “she wants” looks like a male Zendaya 🤣 at 1:25
High school isn’t too different from middle school at least from my experience
Haha shut up where are we dropping boys!
I remember when Zach stone is gonna be famous would come out around 10 or 11 on mtv at night, I was around idk 12-13 at the time and I remember enjoying the show. It was honestly really good and still til this day I wonder why it wasn’t more popular
That 1 dislike got mad this movie was spoiled
This movie was Welcome to the Dollhouse done right. Seriously.
*the beginning* yes
Why it works? Easy. Bo Burnham. I don't think we needed a video to know this haha.
Regardless, I'm so happy to see Bo being lauded for how much of a genius he is. Good on ya for shouting him out.
ngl chicken nugget kids looks like an alternate universe version of that guy from that ATZ Show
I love gambino and i love bo and the fact he just said that makes me so happy
I never watch youtube live, but I did when you hit 100k and you and your girlfriend were so awesome and kept me engaged, I loved your recap and was really happy with how you ended it (with you and your lady as superheros) all the best.
I adored this movie. It is so relatable, it became unfunny and the funny again.
i think the thing that makes this movie really good is the realism. like the teachers dab. they add social media. just little details like that make a movie a great one
I loved bo burnum since "I'm bo Yo!" I lost track of him over the years he is my type of comedian
Honestly the fire scene where she is burning her time capsule deserves multiple awards
I literally LOVE BO and this movie!!!
I could not love this movie more.... was on the verge of tears the whole time both out of feeling so deeply what Kayla felt and appreciating what beautiful and caring character Bo created. SEE THIS MOVIE! I enjoyed it inside and out
Love the movie, my biggest critique is that the fashion isn’t always very accurate, but other than that it’s a great movie
Eighth Grade was so good. I've only been out of middle school for 3 years so I could relate to what Kayla was going through.
I can't believe on how insanely relatable this movie is.
I cried my eyes out in the theater!!
I'm going into 9th grade and 8th grade was my favorite year
this movie was amazing tbh it was real and honest the ending was'nt a fairy tale it was simply amazing god bless this movie
Finished eighth grade last school year and this movie was so relatable even as the opposite gender
Oh God, I myself am a Bo Burnham fan and seeing you "LME-ing" his film just fills my heart !!! ❤❤❤👌👌👌
I’m a girl going in to eighth grade so I NEED to watch this before my school starts in like two weeks 😂
Never heard of this movie!! Now I definitely want to watch it, it seems so sweet...
Thanks, your review helped! Good work!
OMFG YOU OPENED UP THE VIDEO WITH BO BURNHAM AHHHHH YAS I FUCKING LOVE YOU
Watched this at a screening and Q&A w/ Bo Burnham in my university a couple months back. It was enjoyable and I agree, my 2 favorite characters were the dad and chicken nugget kid.
LMAO that Steve Buscemi clip killed me!
I’m going to eighth grade and saw this movie and it was exactly what I expect eighth grade to be
2:51 oh no he didn't!!! daaaamn
“Cause I know I do.”
Me: Awwwwwwwwwwwwwee!!!
1:28 that looks like cafeteria from pumped up kids music video
"Chicken Nugget kid" is Gabe. How. Dare. You
i think high school gonna be different plot twist: i'm homeschooled
The girl was actually in the 8th grade when they made the film
Just finished watching it and i haven't seen a movie quite like this one. Kayla is a genuinely relatable character during the early teen years. Thanks for the recommendation! ❤
what happened in the car
I'm from Australia and the movie is rated M over here which tells you a lot about Australians 😂
I just started watching you and my honest advice to improve your videos is to explain the scenes for those who haven’t seen it/ those who don’t remember the details because you tend to just refer to the scenes and give your opinion rather than explain briefly what happened ex: “the car scene” but overall good work :)
Loved loved loved this movie. The campfire scene totally got me.
I'm so happy this film is brilliant - I laughed and cried whilst watching it. I can't wait to see the next film Bo works on but I wish he'd still do comedy tours or at least specials!
That girl was literally me as an eighth grader 😂
I’m almost an eighth grade girl (going into it after summer is over) and probably planning to watch this soon!
Watching this movie was painful, it's too real.
Only several minutes in and i'm getting cringe from memories of my past self
I cried during the firepit scene
OMG. I hated the main character and then I felt sorry for her, exactly how I feel about my younger self. I just wanted to hug her and tell her that everything will be ok
i need you to do a leftovers version
I was disappointed when I saw this video was less than 4 minutes but **chef’s kiss** sometimes you don’t need 2 sequels or 3 seasons or a 20 minute video. Sometimes short and sweet is just right
the way she treated her dad pissed me off so much he'd be doing nothing and she'd start yellin for what???
