A new species, Shastasaurus shakamaximus has been discovered off the east coast of South Africa. Amazing footage has been obtained of them feeding during the Great Sardine Run.
Tyrannosaurus was most likely both a hunter and a scavenger, which is likely why it was one of the very last of the great dinosaurs to have died off. The strong bite-force is used to get huge chunks of flesh and to bring down large dinosaurs like ankylosaurs and Alamosaurus. Basically, Tyrannosaurus was opportunistic, at times using its bite force to bring down(again) large dinosaurs and using its size to ward off smaller predators from their kills. You get what I mean?
