Definitely my favorite cover of Shiver. Keeps the intensity of the original, has the beginning where it seemingly sheds its shell, and then evolves into its own theme.
Yeah, I have no idea if it was a higher popularity thing or if the doujin scene was just really kicking at the time. There are SO many albums from 1-4, and then they almost disappear. I imagine the switch from the chiptune style to more "full" music played a part too.
Way this starts is awesome. It's like it "degrades" before becoming the cover. "What, running out of steam already?" "Oh, no... We're just getting started!" Awesome.

I'm always surprised over the amount of cover albums of Etrian Odyssey... It must have been massively popular back then in the EO 1 to 3 era...

Awesome.
the moment you step into the decayed room and the only thing there is a chained up monster as it awakens the room gos back to the way it was
true fear is not the monster your will fight but the idea of why you will fight such a thing
Kind of, but in this case is to kill all monsters of the Tower
I swear, if this does not embody the feeling of "you are going to die", I don't know what does. Regardless, the piece is awesome.
The late strata themes have that quality. I love it.
Sounds really good!
This sounds *WAY* better than the actual remake of Shiver.
socialgirl102 Better by a looong shot!
Pretty intense, even compared to the original that was damn powerful as well.
