they make the music cry what made me cry.........nobody in the universe cannot produce music as beautiful as pink floyd......
what a beautiful song!
When I listen to this I feel like I'm surfing in heaven, and I don't know how to surf.
so sick!
why am i crying ?!!! wtf !
@TeRzZeUz
That sir, would happen to be a lap steel guitar. He also uses it on Breathe and Shine On You Crazy Diamond, The Great Gig in the Sky, and a ton of other greats! It's a beautiful instrument, especially in the hands of David Gilmour. :D
PLAY HIGH HOPES!!!!
Get chills every time I hear this. Thank you Mr Gilmour of many years of beautiful music.../ RIP Richard Wright :( founding member of Pink Floyd
I have this
Was the Michael Kamen at 1:41? Or was this filmed after he died?
Hey you forgot the only and the big Syd Barrett..Rest in peace genius.
I believe that is a steel guitar, see how wide the neck is? However, you can't see the top of the neck. He is able to lay his hand on it while he "picks" you can't do that with a regular guitar.
what kind of guitarr is gilmour using does it has a special name?
That is not a guitar, it's a lapsteel, and it's meant to be played like that (as you can see from 'lap' in the name)
anyone know what guitar davids playing
@rachit54 that's a double negative: nobody cannot. So what you're implying is that anyone in the universe can make music as beautiful as pink floyd...
WHO THE FUCK CLICKED THE "DISLIKE" BUTTON?!?!?!?!!?
Imagine having a beautiful wife playing cello for you while you do your guitar solo
@KLBRECH1 dude, i do the EXACT same thing haha that is weird if i had commented on this vid i would have said that verbatim. weird lol
well..i don' like the way gilmour played thi song...
I know who clicked the dislike button. It is a woman called Tarja Turen in the opera metal band Nightwank. They made a parody on this song. After seeing that terrible synth-metal version, I have to relax a bit with this... to prevent that I destroy my computer and everything other in this room. Dave is a genious!
thats a mid 1930-1940s Gibson EH-150 Lap Steel played by the genius.
check out music.aol.com
search david gilmour high hopes
he plays a minute long acoustic ending that is great
nylon strings make it soft and chilling
better band behind him too
@SweetArion Roger Waters and Son Hahah.. Jk.
dont try and say the same thing in a different way just to sound cool...neways enjoy the song..thts all ..the end from my side...
I believe it's a Strat, their just making them different now, less cumbersome. Strat's are his "guitar of choice?
the end of this video sounds like a funeral... for Pink Floyd... but their music will never die, never fade.
Brilliant solo with the beautiful Caroline Dale on cello
If you look closely at 1:48 you will see how much blues does Gilmour has in his soul.
this is a real artist this is a legent !
grande dave.....Gilmour
leader of genius' !!!!!!!!!! greatest mind in music :)
ANYTHING FROM GILMOUR IS GREAT,NOW SHUT AND LISTEN!!!
