- Did you know 1 in 5 children is sexually abused before the age of 18? Proactive conversations are one of the best ways parents can protect their children and prevent child sexual abuse.
You can talk to your child about healthy sexual development, or what some call "the birds and the bees," no matter the age. It may feel awkward, but it feels more natural if you take the time to think through what you’re going to say and remember to keep your child’s maturity in mind. And remember, every time you have a little talk it makes it a little easier to have the next one.

In this day and age I don't think I've ever had a stranger ask me the time in outdoor settings. I've had people ask for directions but that makes a lot more sense at least cos some map routes can be confusing if you're walking on foot sometimes.

I was taught when I was 3 not to trust strangers and when I turned 5 and started playing games on an iPad, my mom told me not to engage in any sexual activities online. I think pretty much everyone knows at this point. Plus, the only ppl who don’t know are really little kids online, which I don’t think they should be online at such a young age. (Ik I was online when I was 5, but I would only play Roblox and Minecraft, with the chat disabled and I could only play games that were rated for little kids)

Told me how to be aware of strangers sexual advances and how to avoid it. When I was about 7 they explained it to me in a bit more detail. (They still explained it rlly sciencey, so don’t worry, it wasn’t like in a weird way)
