Grub screw part # 0000 953 1001
i didnt know about the grub screw, learned something new...thumbs up !!
Wellllll chit neighbor that is awesome!!!
Great Tip, Thanks!
You bet! I been meaning to tell you thanks I really appreciate when you share tips in the comments, it means a whole lot to me you are willing to take the time to help me when i get stuck on a problem!!!! Love you neighbor you are awesome!
Tried a fix where a guy suggested pluging to hole with the end of a Bic pen. Superglued one in mine and its holding up well.
I was just working on this exact same problem today.
I had a small hard plastic screw from my extra nuts and bolts drawer. I used loctite.
I like the set screw better and will be picking one up soon to place in my saw.
Thanks
Yw
I just did a ms310 today. Got the screw right from the stihl dealer for $1. The reason the plastic plug came out is because I tried to clean the oil passage with compressed air and the plug came out. Easy fix tho, you can even use a 6mm set screw from the hardware store.
Yep. My dealer charges $6 shipping they barely keep any parts in stock
Good stuff, thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Thanks for helping me diagnose my problem, hard to find any other info addressing this particular issue
Ya I am fortunate to have 2 manuals from Stihl that they put out for their mechanics with all kinds of random questions their mechanics have asked over the years and they show the answers plus provide the parts needed, Like allot of ppl do not know the 1130 and 123 series saws that the clutch cover has the chain catch on it and it always snaps off there. Well, you can put a regular chain catch on the chassis, there is actually a hole you just use an M5 screw and nut, and you are good to go! Glad this helped you!!!
After watching the video I found the missing grub screw stuck down in a crack after I took the muffler off, jb welded it back in
Oh wow lol good thing it did not destroy anything
Cool! Thanks for sharing your tips
Always I'm shocked this video did not make the algorithm I thought for sure it would get several thousand views, not less than 200 😔
@chainsawredeemer85 give it time bud, when people search youtube for the problem they will watch the vid
@@toyotagtcoupe8487 if a video doesn't take off right away on here, it isn't going to. At least in the year I've been doing it that's the way it is. Also, it's very common that most youtubers views come from what youtube suggests in ppls feeds, only 2.3% of my views for my entire channel are f3on search results. It's cool ima keep doin this chit for the loyalists like you neighbor ❤️

Good tip. What is that channel for? Could there be a type of adjustable screw that can be installed to adjust bar oil flow? Thanks. Be a good neighbor.
I do believe it has something to do with the flow, possibly to assist the oil in turning the corner but I am honestly not sure. I have wondered that myself, but we will experiment here in the next month or so with it hopefully as i have plenty of these chassis we can fool around with and measure oil output. Just gotta get my finances in order, unc being sick set us back a ways, plus nothing is selling lately and IDK why this is usually my busy season for saws!
You’re starting to learn a little editing, I see.
Yes doing a lot better. One simple thing called clipping has opened me up to be able to do all the things i couldn't figure out before!
Nice to no thanks
absolutely neighbor!!!
