Wait a minute. The intro guitar solo to "Hear My Train A Comin'" shows Jack White's hand very low on the neck while the notes we are hearing are obviously coming from way up on the neck. Somebody we can't see actually playing while Jack fakes it?
@@RobertVincentMusicI was suspicious because Jack White is something of a hack when trying to play lead but I guess what you say makes sense since he constantly uses a wall of pedals during his leads to try and hide how limited his ability as a lead player actually is.

He started using octave pedals in The White Stripes to thicken up his sound since it's only a two piece band. These days, it's usually a DigiTech Whammy Pitch Shifter, Big Muff and a POG.. and that's about it. He uses FAR less effects pedals than most guitar players.
