Mine has been great, but the stock tables were done half-hearted. The Taito and Zaccaria ones rock though. I mainly play OTG with Future and Visual tables via PC. Over 1,000 tables. I turn off haptic. It bugs me on all other devices as well- turn off there as well.
I unplugged the haptics and I havent really missed them. When I got the joystick I gave the new ones another shot but it was basically the same buzzy mess so I still left then off. I got the stick to play vertical shooters and the buzzing during arcade games was horrendous anyway.
At first i used double sided tape and it didnt work at all. So i tried thinner basic foam and guess what…… IT WORKED!!!!! No more buzz and i have sounds much higher on the menu.
I bought one and had the exact same issues. I returned it. They gave me a replacement and no issues at all. I think both you and I got lemons. The stock tables require settings adjustments which is ridiculous. The zaccaria table downloads are actually really good
I'm kinda floored that my man just played the trash stock tables and gave up lol. I mean... dang dude. I'm glad HE has time to waste returning stuff without even doing any troubleshooting. In his defense, yeah the stock software is BALLS. But i can say that about a lot of these companies. iiRcade also has some trash games available, a few good ones. The NeoGeo MVSX cab has a handful of good games and a ton of copypaste fighters... My Recroom Masters i had to buy the TV and the speakers, AND add in the raspberry pi, i paid someone else to config the frontend and roms and just called it a day but i still had to build the damn thing lol. Unless you drop good $ on 4k dollar cabinets and pinball tables the stock software just kinda... sucks in most of these cabs and tables. OR you can buy a kiddie toy A1up with a handful of solid titles per unit that stands like 4 feet tall and kills your neck and back after 20 minutes.
I recently set mine up about three weeks ago. The games are mostly trash that come with it, I bought a few game packs which were disappointing. The left flipper button was problematic, as it sometimes did not move when activated. Ended up swapping out the bumper button and it works fine now. I quickly got bored with the games so I ended up hooking it up to a laptop to play pinball fx3 - now I'm happy. This product seemed half baked. I mean you have to buy a switch controller for the monitor (for the output of the top monitor to the cpu) and it is crazy overpriced. The stock buttons are horrible. Now they are selling (pre-order) an all new system (just the mother board) with expanded memory, and updated CPU for $400 to $500 lol
I came real close to buying one of these earlier this year but I saw way too many people have issues with them. It’s an unfinished product that was rushed to market. They’re selling all these add on pieces for the unit saying they’re upgrades when they should’ve been included from the start. Buying something and modding it is one thing but buying something and having to buy parts from them or a third party because their parts are either substandard, break or both, is inexcusable. I’m glad I went and had a pinball machine custom made with far superior parts and a three year warranty.

@@seanguttman2153 thank you. I got the Xtreme with every option available. I upgraded to the titan package with the 144hz monitor and upgraded graphics card. They just started printing my artwork today so hopefully I’ll have it before Christmas. I’m going with air freight. I believe it’s 2500 dollars. XGC makes the best machines in the world. I’m lucky to have came across them to build my machines.

Really seems that you got a "dud" - I recently got my Legends Pinball and haven't really had any issues at all - though I really agree about the quality of the tables included and going the BYO route is best if you're going to run off of a PC anyhow. There are "time of day" adjustments for the overall screen brightness. I'm keeping mine but will build one later this year too.
I think even if a person ends up liking the Atgames Legends Pinball, is seems risky to buy from Atgames directly as you will also have to pay for return shipping and not get refunded the original shipping to you. Better off buying through Sam's or other retailers who will eventually sell them. I bought mine through Amazon from a 3rd party seller. Got mine a week ago.
I had the same problem. Wave1 didn't have this problem, subsequent Waves did. I noticed Wave1 had screws in the corners of the front panel securing the panel down. I don't know if that's why Wave1 didn't have the problem, but it's a possible explanation. It's total BS, and AT Games should fix it, and more power to people who feel like returning it. You can remove the front panel, remove the exciters and attach the exciters to the sides of the cabinet by the flipper buttons with two sided tape, and that helps tremendously. Consumers should be able to use it out of the box, and it's not cool that people should have to do this. It might even void the warranty. Even after the fix, you also have to tweak the settings a great deal to hit the perfect spot where the exciters and accelerometer work correctly with good sound and no ghost nudging. But, after the effort it took the machine from unplayable to a great machine with some solid bass and rumble and some haptic. I submitted a ticket to AT Games and they never admitted the fact that this is a hardware and design problem that needs to be fixed. If you buy it, be ready to do a hardware mod of some sort to fix it, or wait for future waves.
I saved my money for a toy!What I thought I was getting,wasn't even close. Very disappointed, dissatisfied.SURPRISE! My own fault.I watched,read,heard every single horror story about the ALP,Atgames support and defects...WON'T happen to ME!! I AM SPECIAL!! How I became "SOS'D" STUCK ON STUPID I DON'T KNOW!! Paid well over 1200.00 to my door for the ALP,didn't work from DAY ONE!! None of the built ins PLAYED!Tried exchanging,returning repairing at my expense. The retailer refused to exchange it,refund it or repair it. If it wasn't for someone in the group asking me how the Taito or Zaccaria tables played,I would have had a BIG BOX with a BIG LIT UGLY SIGN REMINDING ME EXACTLY WHO CHEATED ME OUT OF CLOSE TO 1500 BUCKS. Haptics were buzzing,back box speaker blown,AND the plunger broke!! I was told that I had to wait for the update to the firmware! This magical firmware can fix the built ins,haptics,plunger and speakers and MY 1200.00+260.00 of Tables I had to purchase just to get it to work!A 1460.00 DOLLAR BROKEN TOY,that NOBODY would take responsibility for. Had I NOT updated my firmware to begin with,had I NOT done the factory reset,I would have been able to play SOME of the built ins. I had to be careful not to do anything they didn't tell me. I could not void my warranty. HMMMMMM🤔😏I WONDER WHY SOMETHING ELECTRONIC OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS,HAS A 30 DAY WARRANTY? Maybe it's because they DON'T believe in their machines to begin with. 1 update,2 updates,3...4..NOPE!! October,November, December came and went. JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND ....THEY SAY"YAH LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT A BAD MACHINE,TRY RETURNING IT TO THE RETAILER". HELLO...WTF!! I didn't know that I was going to be buying a DIY kit!! In their defense,I have had dealings with their support and their distributor that has been excellent however,there's only so much that they are able to do without company authorization. I have the Arcade1up Mars attack it’s pretty fun , everything works . Graphics are blurry though , small screen . I turn off Haptic feedback/solenoids . It’s just annoying and doesn’t add anything to the experience. The most important thing in virtual pinball is the controls and the nudge . Aslong as those are correct , it will feel real. I don’t like playing pinball on Xbox cuz a game pad , that’s not the right controls .
I modded mine and now it’s the coolest thing I own. 90 tables with more to come. I’m looking at Legends because of the screen size and to have both but from what I’m seeing legends gets a bad rap. Got my Mars table for $500 and it’s worth that. Another $300 for a bigger screen but lame tables is making me rethink.
@@kentrey Bigger screen, and higher def. Plus you can play arcade games on it with the upgrade. I'm going with @games, i plan to mod it anyways with a new Backbox, skins, etc. You should see some of the mods using this thing as a base... you can make this thing look like a 4,000 dollar table!

Got mine two weeks ago, from atgames, works, but the playfield monitor is damaged half of the playfield has bad scan lines in the vertical. Tried getting a hold of them, No response. I communicated with a well known UA-camr, he help me out to have them replace the bottom box, hopefully next week. Overall I am okay with it.
Half the machine is literally busted and you are ok with it? I guess I see why so many love Atgames and also why they don't bother to improve. 😂 Send that garbage back. It just going to get worse from here on out. Wait till the next firmware bricks your setup permanently
Took two weeks to get ahold of Atgame, after talking to a well known youtuber for help. getting the replacement playfield on 10/29. In the meantime been learning the hookup with Pinball Emporium and Arcade games. After getting hold of customer service, they were very friendly/helpful. It is just the fact that trying to contact them the first day, and just getting a auto response and the not hearing back from them in a couple of days, is not good.

Once I got all the PC stuff setup I realized I would never play the at tables again. For $800 I can build a cabinet with a better monitor and quality buttons. I am thankful I bought the ALP for one reason. It was inspiration to get my PC setup with retro game/tables and to start building my own machine.
$30 Dayton Audio exciter replacements, done. Placed them on the bottom of the cabinet and unplugged the OEM exciters. This is a known issue and easily fixable. I fixed mine the same week I bought it. Works flawlessly now. Not sure where you’re getting your info of “most people are replacing exciters with real solenoids because that’s not true.
Ya know... The guy that posted above you? Reddit? The FB groups? You made a ton of effort when you could have just put in solinoids for similar effort and a little more cash. Still one of many "known issues" with the ALP. Most people don't wanna buy a $800 toy and immediately start to McGyvering it day one. The ALP is a base kit to start building a real Vpinball out of. Out of the box it is trash. Most everyone, even MANY ALP fans, readily admit that. Half the comments here agree. Slick deals, reddit, and many hobby groups are full of similar comments. You won't however see it on the FB groups as all negative comments are banned. Enjoy your ALP dude.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve seen some pretty horrid experiences out there with this company. No one should need to immediately mod a system this overpriced out of the box. I’ve ordered one and am waiting for it to arrive. I want a pinball machine in the house to complete the arcade and feel like A1UP’s offering is simply to small and lack tables. I’m praying mine comes working because if not I will bringing it back immediately (Sams) just like you. Out of the box I plan to glue the deck down and cover the marquee but outside of that, I expect it to work as advertised. Thanks again for posting and bringing awareness about at games simply not trying.
Yes. Buttons stuck. Firmware updates every week breaking more stuff than it fixed. Connection issues. Just a total mess. Spent more time working on them than playing them.
Great little piece of hardware for the price when compared to other virtual pins…IF you plan on modifying it. AtGames support and community engagement completely sucks though, in a sincerely awful way- this extends from software to hardware.
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your machine. Got one and has worked flawlessly. You seemed to just end up with a machine riddled with problems. Great pinball machine. When I got mine, I got 100 tables free. In regards to their customer service, I agree, not good at all. I too have an attack from mars pinball. I hate the monitor size. Some of the tables are blurry and it seems like many of them have flipper lag. I love some of the games on the table that AtGames, for some reason, can not get the licensing rights.
Right now they are doing the same special i guess, they are including the Zacarria tables in a bundle. Seems like a nobrainer. I'll mod it if the damn thing buzzes or rattles lol. At this pricepoint, and that screen/playfield i'm down.
The control pad upgrade fixes these issues better hepatic feedback no buzzing... play vertical shooters.. yeah the games preloaded suck but most people buying these know that before they buy it.. most people buying it are going to hook up a pc or raspberry pi to it and play better tables... it's worth keeping once you get the control panel alone without mods...
Was there a new version released? I posed the same question about the control panel. The community mostly said it was worse. You can add tape and stuff but the reals solution is to move them from the panel to the box sides or replace them.
@@mitchmiller3714 I got mine from Sam's it's probably the same version.. with the Sam's bonus I found out after everything is updated and registered on the website it can take up to 24hours to show up in you're box on the table mine took a while but I got them... mine also does have some buzzing with audio turned up loud but everyone I've talked too says the control panel doesn't have the issue.. I'm ordering one on national owners day the 11th it will be on sale for $120 well worth it.. you'll also be able to get all the table packs 30 to 60% off.. so I'd wait a few more day's for the sale.. but I plan on moding it with solenoids and bass shaker..
@@mitchmiller3714 The OG tables have this issue. The Zaccaria tables? Work perfectly and are better anyways! I'm working on using my with VPIN. But even if I wasn't, I'd be real happy with the Zaccaria tables alone. No idea why the haptics are such an issue with the original titles that are included. But yes, I have that same crummy "feedback" issue. It's a software issue imo if Zaccaria tables run mint.

Would be better to just include 10-20 of the Zaccaria's and reduce the price of a couple of the packs for people to dip their toes into purchasing off their store. More recent table packs can be more... but yeah they could definitely handle their lineup better and it seems it's causing a lot of fuss.
Man I am glad I saw your video. I was just about to order this from Sam's Club. It is very annoying to hear from many people who own these machines that all you have to do it replace this and swap these exciters out. Install new bla, bla, bla. Turn this off. Christ what ever happened to the notion that when you spend money on something new it should work right out of the box? Why are so many people giving these companies such free passes on products that cost a small fortune? I seriously don't get it. Anyways I appreciate your HONEST opinions. Its refreshing to hear for once.
Well here's your options. A crappy low rez 1up with limited tables, small playing field and kiddie feel, a 4k-6k rich mans machine, build one yo dayum sef! OR... mod this thing and end up dropping probably around... 1500? give or take. I think modding this for 1500 gives the best middle ground. These are a good step above the normie casual market, aka that junk you can find at walmart... ewww... It's the entry level for the big boys who don't want kid toys. Just have to treat it like a hobby and pop that sucker open to mod! Apply some sexy af skins and call it a day.
I'm still on the original firmware and it works great, even with steam through otg. you might have gotten a busted unit. I would differently take it back if your not satisfied with it.
I told him his unit is broken to get it replaced and not give atgames any money at all. All their tables come with the purchase once you contact them and complain . But he instead wanted to be a ass and tell me how much better his imaginary soon to be pinball machine is going to be. Some people you just can’t help.

Hope you bought it at Sam's for easy returns. Atgames only gives 60 days. Join the Facebook groups or Reddit. Every other post starts with "how do I fix...."

I returned my unit as well. Same exact issue as yours. Not acceptable for 800$. It was beyond annoying. All the community members have said add weight, move this, move that, tape or glue this and that. Change the setting to this and that. Buy new Daytons. The thing is we shouldn't have to do any of that. It's a known issue. It needs to be addressed. I even tried most of those remedies and sure it worked ok for one table but the next would be unplayable. I returned to my local Sam's within 48 hours. Just a bummer that most of the community accepts these flaws. I have several of their other products, this one was a major bummer. All these DYI ideas just to get it "acceptable " is not ok with me for 800.
Once you get all the stuff "fixed" it still is not that great. The games are all older cheap Android based games with graphics setting turned down. To make it cool you must fix all the flaws AND add then a $1000 computer, mod theback box (void already bad warranty) buy tables from a 3rd party, program the tables to work, and accept the muted colors of the included screen. This is basically a prototype. They need to completely redesign the unit and likely triple the price. If you are a type that likes to tinker you will be able to buy broken ones soon for a couple hundred.
Prepare to mod these midrange cabs and tables, or you have two other options, Save some scratch and get a kiddiecade from A1up with laughable hardware and insanely small playfields... HARD PASS for me personally. Buy an expensive AF 4k-6k table from one of the richman sites out there... that's about it for options. Which personally i'm okay with because just about 3 years ago you had two options. Drop thousands of dollars and maintain a pinball machine which also costs tons of money over time. Or build it yourself... and fix it yourself. Find a manual and study, study, study repairs! I'll take one of these for $800 and finish the damn thing myself lol.
Along with half the entire internet groups. They are all full of broken machines. You hit the lotto and got a decent one.. least till it breaks and customer support ignores you.

AtGames should spend the time inspecting each machine before the go out. Pay someone. And then they will be even better than great. Maybe even send you a video of your working machine? Exactly the point sir.. I spent about the same amount custom building a table from scratch. Basically every part on the atgames pinball needs to be replaced, even the too short legs. You can get a roaches real pinball machine for the frame for $100 and use the legs. Least the a1up works out of the box. That was the point of the video, unless you intend to seriously mod this machine, it's a waste of money. Many many don't intend to throw $1500+ at it
Enjoyed your review of the AtGames pinball table…. The whole point of getting a virtual pinball table is plug in and play. I definitely would be pissed if I had to go thru all the problems your dealing with. Personally, I have both Star Wars and Marvel from Arcade1Up and I’ve had no problems with them. Yes, they’re smaller and only have 10 games in each, but as far as I’m concerned, I love the graphics and game play on both….not a day goes by where I’m not wacking around those faux Metal balls for at least a half hour…. The main reason I didn’t consider the AtGames table was the lousy games that came with it….and like I said, I’m a plug and play kinda guy. This dinosaur doesn’t want to have to learn new tricks… and trying to learn how to buy and download new games is not in my game plan.. I’m sorry to hear about your problems and totally understand your dissatisfaction with the AtGames product…also, hearing you talk about how anyone with negative comments gets them deleted…well, that’s a real kiss of death for AtGames to me. I’m happy that at least your capable of putting together a table of your own… And I’m sure you’ll be happy with your results. Thanks for your review. 👍🏻😎
I have the ALU and play the Gottleib and Zaccaria (140+ tables) games plus all the Pinball FX3 tables including Star Wars and Marvel games (even the ones that are not included in the Arcade 1UP) all on a larger 1080P screen with large backbox display and paid way less.
@@timmiser again...either you have a pc or you pay for ATGAMES server...but it's not like that out of the box,which is all I've been saying ..as a shell the alp is awesome...but at least tell people everything they need to make it great..not everyone follows UA-camrs to know that
@@ChosenOne1994 The Gottlieb and Zaccaria games (140+ games) were out of the box for me. (Purchased from AT Games store where it is sold as a bundle with all the Gottleib games). If you want to add the PX3 games or VPX, then you need a pc but that is optional. So out of the box, the ALP is awesome!
Even though I really like my alp, I'm not going to vote this down... Your issues are more than obvious and understandable, but I suppose I was lucky not having those like with the exciters and you are not treated by the best games that come with it to properly represent the machine. Most of the included games are really low effort. But it's not to blame on the hardware, I bought the Zaccaria(by magic pixel) tables and immediately it became 'so much better'! The included games should never have been included. If you want to have a good start, you should simply start with the deluxe tables, they are really good and it's a difference of night and day (seriously). Although due to the low effort tables I need to add that I do think you are mistaken that a lot of your isses are hardware related, but actually just bad software. Like I hear you complain about the screen, but I can vouch for that it is all due to the digital tables itself and everything so bright, sharp and clear with those. But if you can not compare it, it's not easy to make that conclusion.
Yeah when i get this i'm jumping right into the Zaccaria stuff, getting it downloaded and ready to go. It's stupid the way you get games on this thing and kind of consumer unfriendly but seems like most people just go with a laptop or PC setup. Also a pain in the arse for people who don't know the basics with such things. They really do need to offer a better out of box experience.
Did you read the 50 other reviews posted on this video?? Did you notice that all negative reviews are removed from all support groups? Did you hear that I did my research for 6 months and had over 2k in parts for this machine before I even bought it? Obviously no.

The trick is to turn them off completely lol. Trash. Actually the setting only fixes a some units. The better fix is to take it apart and put some cardboard or gasket sealer under the control panel to it does not rattle like a loose trunk with 15 inch subs 😂
I relocated my exciters to the bottom of the table. Now I don't have any buzzing.

I bought one and had the exact same issues. I returned it. They gave me a replacement and no issues at all. I think both you and I got lemons. The stock tables require settings adjustments which is ridiculous. The zaccaria table downloads are actually really good
I'm kinda floored that my man just played the trash stock tables and gave up lol. I mean... dang dude. I'm glad HE has time to waste returning stuff without even doing any troubleshooting. In his defense, yeah the stock software is BALLS. But i can say that about a lot of these companies.
iiRcade also has some trash games available, a few good ones. The NeoGeo MVSX cab has a handful of good games and a ton of copypaste fighters... My Recroom Masters i had to buy the TV and the speakers, AND add in the raspberry pi, i paid someone else to config the frontend and roms and just called it a day but i still had to build the damn thing lol.
Unless you drop good $ on 4k dollar cabinets and pinball tables the stock software just kinda... sucks in most of these cabs and tables. OR you can buy a kiddie toy A1up with a handful of solid titles per unit that stands like 4 feet tall and kills your neck and back after 20 minutes.
I recently set mine up about three weeks ago. The games are mostly trash that come with it, I bought a few game packs which were disappointing. The left flipper button was problematic, as it sometimes did not move when activated. Ended up swapping out the bumper button and it works fine now. I quickly got bored with the games so I ended up hooking it up to a laptop to play pinball fx3 - now I'm happy. This product seemed half baked. I mean you have to buy a switch controller for the monitor (for the output of the top monitor to the cpu) and it is crazy overpriced. The stock buttons are horrible. Now they are selling (pre-order) an all new system (just the mother board) with expanded memory, and updated CPU for $400 to $500 lol
I drove mine through the woods hard. It was such a blast however tripped and hit hard on the flipper.
I came real close to buying one of these earlier this year but I saw way too many people have issues with them. It’s an unfinished product that was rushed to market. They’re selling all these add on pieces for the unit saying they’re upgrades when they should’ve been included from the start. Buying something and modding it is one thing but buying something and having to buy parts from them or a third party because their parts are either substandard, break or both, is inexcusable. I’m glad I went and had a pinball machine custom made with far superior parts and a three year warranty.

They just started printing my artwork today so hopefully I’ll have it before Christmas. I’m going with air freight. I believe it’s 2500 dollars. XGC makes the best machines in the world. I’m lucky to have came across them to build my machines.

Really seems that you got a "dud" - I recently got my Legends Pinball and haven't really had any issues at all - though I really agree about the quality of the tables included and going the BYO route is best if you're going to run off of a PC anyhow. There are "time of day" adjustments for the overall screen brightness. I'm keeping mine but will build one later this year too.
I think even if a person ends up liking the Atgames Legends Pinball, is seems risky to buy from Atgames directly as you will also have to pay for return shipping and not get refunded the original shipping to you. Better off buying through Sam's or other retailers who will eventually sell them. I bought mine through Amazon from a 3rd party seller. Got mine a week ago.
I had the same problem. Wave1 didn't have this problem, subsequent Waves did. I noticed Wave1 had screws in the corners of the front panel securing the panel down. I don't know if that's why Wave1 didn't have the problem, but it's a possible explanation. It's total BS, and AT Games should fix it, and more power to people who feel like returning it. You can remove the front panel, remove the exciters and attach the exciters to the sides of the cabinet by the flipper buttons with two sided tape, and that helps tremendously. Consumers should be able to use it out of the box, and it's not cool that people should have to do this. It might even void the warranty. Even after the fix, you also have to tweak the settings a great deal to hit the perfect spot where the exciters and accelerometer work correctly with good sound and no ghost nudging. But, after the effort it took the machine from unplayable to a great machine with some solid bass and rumble and some haptic. I submitted a ticket to AT Games and they never admitted the fact that this is a hardware and design problem that needs to be fixed. If you buy it, be ready to do a hardware mod of some sort to fix it, or wait for future waves.

Had I NOT updated my firmware to begin with,had I NOT done the factory reset,I would have been able to play SOME of the built ins.

I have the Arcade1up Mars attack it’s pretty fun , everything works . Graphics are blurry though , small screen . I turn off Haptic feedback/solenoids . It’s just annoying and doesn’t add anything to the experience. The most important thing in virtual pinball is the controls and the nudge . Aslong as those are correct , it will feel real. I don’t like playing pinball on Xbox cuz a game pad , that’s not the right controls .
I modded mine and now it’s the coolest thing I own. 90 tables with more to come. I’m looking at Legends because of the screen size and to have both but from what I’m seeing legends gets a bad rap. Got my Mars table for $500 and it’s worth that. Another $300 for a bigger screen but lame tables is making me rethink.
@@kentrey Bigger screen, and higher def. Plus you can play arcade games on it with the upgrade. I'm going with @games, i plan to mod it anyways with a new Backbox, skins, etc. You should see some of the mods using this thing as a base... you can make this thing look like a 4,000 dollar table!

Got mine two weeks ago, from atgames, works, but the playfield monitor is damaged half of the playfield has bad scan lines in the vertical. Tried getting a hold of them, No response. I communicated with a well known UA-camr, he help me out to have them replace the bottom box, hopefully next week. Overall I am okay with it.
Half the machine is literally busted and you are ok with it? I guess I see why so many love Atgames and also why they don't bother to improve. 😂 Send that garbage back. It just going to get worse from here on out. Wait till the next firmware bricks your setup permanently

Took two weeks to get ahold of Atgame, after talking to a well known youtuber for help. getting the replacement playfield on 10/29. In the meantime been learning the hookup with Pinball Emporium and Arcade games. After getting hold of customer service, they were very friendly/helpful. It is just the fact that trying to contact them the first day, and just getting a auto response and the not hearing back from them in a couple of days, is not good.

Once I got all the PC stuff setup I realized I would never play the at tables again. For $800 I can build a cabinet with a better monitor and quality buttons. I am thankful I bought the ALP for one reason. It was inspiration to get my PC setup with retro game/tables and to start building my own machine.
I had the same issue .I had file a claim with PayPal for them to contact me .
$30 Dayton Audio exciter replacements, done. Placed them on the bottom of the cabinet and unplugged the OEM exciters. This is a known issue and easily fixable. I fixed mine the same week I bought it. Works flawlessly now. Not sure where you’re getting your info of “most people are replacing exciters with real solenoids because that’s not true.
Ya know... The guy that posted above you? Reddit? The FB groups? You made a ton of effort when you could have just put in solinoids for similar effort and a little more cash. Still one of many "known issues" with the ALP. Most people don't wanna buy a $800 toy and immediately start to McGyvering it day one. The ALP is a base kit to start building a real Vpinball out of. Out of the box it is trash. Most everyone, even MANY ALP fans, readily admit that. Half the comments here agree. Slick deals, reddit, and many hobby groups are full of similar comments. You won't however see it on the FB groups as all negative comments are banned. Enjoy your ALP dude.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve seen some pretty horrid experiences out there with this company. No one should need to immediately mod a system this overpriced out of the box.
I’ve ordered one and am waiting for it to arrive. I want a pinball machine in the house to complete the arcade and feel like A1UP’s offering is simply to small and lack tables. I’m praying mine comes working because if not I will bringing it back immediately (Sams) just like you.
Out of the box I plan to glue the deck down and cover the marquee but outside of that, I expect it to work as advertised.

Yes. Buttons stuck. Firmware updates every week breaking more stuff than it fixed. Connection issues. Just a total mess. Spent more time working on them than playing them.
Great little piece of hardware for the price when compared to other virtual pins…IF you plan on modifying it. AtGames support and community engagement completely sucks though, in a sincerely awful way- this extends from software to hardware.
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your machine. Got one and has worked flawlessly. You seemed to just end up with a machine riddled with problems. Great pinball machine. When I got mine, I got 100 tables free. In regards to their customer service, I agree, not good at all. I too have an attack from mars pinball. I hate the monitor size. Some of the tables are blurry and it seems like many of them have flipper lag. I love some of the games on the table that AtGames, for some reason, can not get the licensing rights.
Right now they are doing the same special i guess, they are including the Zacarria tables in a bundle. Seems like a nobrainer. I'll mod it if the damn thing buzzes or rattles lol. At this pricepoint, and that screen/playfield i'm down.
The control pad upgrade fixes these issues better hepatic feedback no buzzing... play vertical shooters.. yeah the games preloaded suck but most people buying these know that before they buy it.. most people buying it are going to hook up a pc or raspberry pi to it and play better tables... it's worth keeping once you get the control panel alone without mods...
Was there a new version released? I posed the same question about the control panel. The community mostly said it was worse. You can add tape and stuff but the reals solution is to move them from the panel to the box sides or replace them.
@@mitchmiller3714 I got mine from Sam's it's probably the same version.. with the Sam's bonus I found out after everything is updated and registered on the website it can take up to 24hours to show up in you're box on the table mine took a while but I got them... mine also does have some buzzing with audio turned up loud but everyone I've talked too says the control panel doesn't have the issue.. I'm ordering one on national owners day the 11th it will be on sale for $120 well worth it.. you'll also be able to get all the table packs 30 to 60% off.. so I'd wait a few more day's for the sale.. but I plan on moding it with solenoids and bass shaker..
@@mitchmiller3714 The OG tables have this issue. The Zaccaria tables? Work perfectly and are better anyways! I'm working on using my with VPIN. But even if I wasn't, I'd be real happy with the Zaccaria tables alone. No idea why the haptics are such an issue with the original titles that are included. But yes, I have that same crummy "feedback" issue. It's a software issue imo if Zaccaria tables run mint.

Would be better to just include 10-20 of the Zaccaria's and reduce the price of a couple of the packs for people to dip their toes into purchasing off their store. More recent table packs can be more... but yeah they could definitely handle their lineup better and it seems it's causing a lot of fuss.
Man I am glad I saw your video. I was just about to order this from Sam's Club. It is very annoying to hear from many people who own these machines that all you have to do it replace this and swap these exciters out. Install new bla, bla, bla. Turn this off. Christ what ever happened to the notion that when you spend money on something new it should work right out of the box? Well here's your options. A crappy low rez 1up with limited tables, small playing field and kiddie feel, a 4k-6k rich mans machine, build one yo dayum sef! OR... mod this thing and end up dropping probably around... 1500? give or take.
I think modding this for 1500 gives the best middle ground. These are a good step above the normie casual market, aka that junk you can find at walmart... ewww...
It's the entry level for the big boys who don't want kid toys. Just have to treat it like a hobby and pop that sucker open to mod! Apply some sexy af skins and call it a day.
I'm still on the original firmware and it works great, even with steam through otg. you might have gotten a busted unit. I would differently take it back if your not satisfied with it.
I told him his unit is broken to get it replaced and not give atgames any money at all. All their tables come with the purchase once you contact them and complain . But he instead wanted to be a ass and tell me how much better his imaginary soon to be pinball machine is going to be. Some people you just can’t help.

I returned my unit as well. Same exact issue as yours. Not acceptable for 800$. It was beyond annoying. All the community members have said add weight, move this, move that, tape or glue this and that. Change the setting to this and that. Buy new Daytons. The thing is we shouldn't have to do any of that. It's a known issue. It needs to be addressed. I even tried most of those remedies and sure it worked ok for one table but the next would be unplayable. I returned to my local Sam's within 48 hours. Just a bummer that most of the community accepts these flaws. I have several of their other products, this one was a major bummer. All these DYI ideas just to get it "acceptable " is not ok with me for 800.
Once you get all the stuff "fixed" it still is not that great. The games are all older cheap Android based games with graphics setting turned down. To make it cool you must fix all the flaws AND add then a $1000 computer, mod theback box (void already bad warranty) buy tables from a 3rd party, program the tables to work, and accept the muted colors of the included screen. This is basically a prototype. They need to completely redesign the unit and likely triple the price. If you are a type that likes to tinker you will be able to buy broken ones soon for a couple hundred.
Prepare to mod these midrange cabs and tables, or you have two other options, Save some scratch and get a kiddiecade from A1up with laughable hardware and insanely small playfields... HARD PASS for me personally.
Buy an expensive AF 4k-6k table from one of the richman sites out there... that's about it for options.
Which personally i'm okay with because just about 3 years ago you had two options. Drop thousands of dollars and maintain a pinball machine which also costs tons of money over time. Or build it yourself... and fix it yourself. Find a manual and study, study, study repairs!

AtGames should spend the time inspecting each machine before the go out. Pay someone. And then they will be even better than great. Maybe even send you a video of your working machine? Inspection teams rule!

Exactly the point sir.. I spent about the same amount custom building a table from scratch. Basically every part on the atgames pinball needs to be replaced, even the too short legs. You can get a roaches real pinball machine for the frame for $100 and use the legs.
Least the a1up works out of the box. That was the point of the video, unless you intend to seriously mod this machine, it's a waste of money. Many many don't intend to throw $1500+ at it

The main reason I didn’t consider the AtGames table was the lousy

I have the ALU and play the Gottleib and Zaccaria (140+ tables) games plus all the Pinball FX3 tables including Star Wars and Marvel games (even the ones that are not included in the Arcade 1UP) all on a larger 1080P screen with large backbox display and paid way less.
@@timmiser again...either you have a pc or you pay for ATGAMES server...but it's not like that out of the box,which is all I've been saying ..as a shell the alp is awesome...but at least tell people everything they need to make it great..not everyone follows UA-camrs to know that
@@ChosenOne1994 The Gottlieb and Zaccaria games (140+ games) were out of the box for me. (Purchased from AT Games store where it is sold as a bundle with all the Gottleib games). If you want to add the PX3 games or VPX, then you need a pc but that is optional. So out of the box, the ALP is awesome!

Even though I really like my alp, I'm not going to vote this down... Your issues are more than obvious and understandable, but I suppose I was lucky not having those like with the exciters and you are not treated by the best games that come with it to properly represent the machine.
Most of the included games are really low effort. But it's not to blame on the hardware, I bought the Zaccaria(by magic pixel) tables and immediately it became 'so much better'! The included games should never have been included. If you want to have a good start, you should simply start with the deluxe tables, they are really good and it's a difference of night and day (seriously).
Although due to the low effort tables I need to add that I do think you are mistaken that a lot of your isses are hardware related, but actually just bad software. Like I hear you complain about the screen, but I can vouch for that it is all due to the digital tables itself and everything so bright, sharp and clear with those. But if you can not compare it, it's not easy to make that conclusion.
Yeah when i get this i'm jumping right into the Zaccaria stuff, getting it downloaded and ready to go. It's stupid the way you get games on this thing and kind of consumer unfriendly but seems like most people just go with a laptop or PC setup. Also a pain in the arse for people who don't know the basics with such things.
They really do need to offer a better out of box experience.

Did you read the 50 other reviews posted on this video?? Did you notice that all negative reviews are removed from all support groups? Did you hear that I did my research for 6 months and had over 2k in parts for this machine before I even bought it? Obviously no.

Lol the haptics are just a simple tweak of the settings that would take 2 minutes to adjust and NO you dont have to shut it off to fix it...lol
The trick is to turn them off completely lol. Trash. Actually the setting only fixes a some units. The better fix is to take it apart and put some cardboard or gasket sealer under the control panel to it does not rattle like a loose trunk with 15 inch subs 😂
