Greg is a baritone, Layne was a tenor. Maybe it's just the sound quality of an amateur live recording but I think the fact that Greg doesn't reach (and I say that noting that he has a really wide range, specially for a self-taught baritone - Staley has a unique voice but also became the vocal powerhouse he is with Ron fuckin' Anderson's guidance) the same notes as Layne did in his peak and tries to put his own flavor to fit the harmonies may be the reason why it sounds a bit off sometimes. Also, Puciato's in his 40s, while Layne was in his 20s when he wrote and performed these hauntingly beautiful leads and harmonies, and this fact makes Greg's performance (even counting its comprehensible downs) nothing but remarkable imo. Jerry's decision on choosing and keeping him around is definitely a hit. Ma boi has a really good taste for singers
Great to see Puciato in The Big leagues.
Killer be Killed isn't exactly Tee-ball.
And Gil! That’s Dillingers old drummer as well
@@jamess1864 exactly.
That hurts my ears at times.
Finally!! Thank you! This Greg dude is terrible. I dont get why everyone likes him. His harmonies are flat all over the place.
Harmonies seem a bit off..? Live I’m sure it was awesome

I think the guy recording this was singing as well.
@@JediCrackSmoke haha yeah likely. Either way it was an awesome show
Puciato's voice is ok but nothing special at all for me, honestly.
@@MLCrow I love it in Dillinger Escape Plan.
Layne..where are you?🖤
Down in a hole unfortunately
He sings it like William
needs to tour with Travis Bracht singing.
