As always I’m glad you liked the song! Poppy is an interesting artist. She started as a UA-camr doing performance art and a comedy series. When she started doing music it was, well, poppy lol She’s done and blended pop, electronic, hip hop, alt rock, hard rock and metal. More recently the metal stuff. This is the newest single she put out and if I’m correct, I believe she has a new album planned to come out. So I’m really curious to see what other singles will be released and the genre throughout the album. She’s mostly done clean vocals but started to introduce screams into her music and has just gotten better at it. Like, she was on a Knocked Loose song, how much heavier can you get? 😂 I’ll definitely probably donate another one of hers when I can figure out which one to do lol And also, y’all know me too well now 😂 it’s not my fault that all of these female artists happen to be so hot 🥵 I have way too many lady crushes I can’t even keep up with it 😂

Some of her music does fit into her character. So do a lot of her interviews up until recently. I love how weird and different she is lol Oh and she has a video called “I’m Poppy.” where she literally just says “I’m Poppy” in different ways for 10 whole ass minutes and it has like 28 million views 😂

This song in particular is a different one for Poppy. It’s kind of her first song without her using her “character voice” with clean vocals. If you listen to any of her early stuff, or even her creepy youtube videos, you’ll hear exactly what I mean.
