Absolutely love this band. Have done for over a decade, the evolution of the band has been incredible. I finally saw them live in Glasgow a few weeks ago and they were outstanding. Definitely worth diving down the Northlane rabbit hole.
I LOVE this song so much. I had it on repeat when it first came out. I was actually going to request it but saw someone else did so I’ve been waiting to see this one! Northlane is a great band. Their album ALIEN is fantastic. Probably gonna have to request one from that. “Is it a synthesizer?” “What’s that?” “I don’t know.” 🖤 There’s a few different names for those things, but yes it’s basically a synthesizer. Controls all of the synths obviously and any other added noise that may be used in a song.
Saw Northlane a couple of weeks ago in Manchester UK, incredible live. Would recommend if they come through! They have a great mix of styles over their discography. Maybe ‘4D’ off the Alien album would be good next, still got the electronics and great voice but abit more heavy. Cheers for the reaction guys!
I've never seen this music video, but I love it so much just because everyone looks like they're having so much fun and it was kind of adorable lol The video could have used some blood though, the dry arrows through that man was just not hitting the graphic vibe I was hoping for. I am so hype that someone requested this song though cause I kinda forgot it existed for a little while there and I was hecking obsessed with it when it was first released so I don't know how I forgot about it "I hate the silent reminders of heartache" is such a good lyric, like honestly, how are songs this good?? The song doesn't even have that many lyrics and you guys got me overanalyzing them trying to figure out what the music video is trying to represent at the end. The song is about loss/grief, but I mean, the last little chunk of lyrics are "I can't forget what I regret But I accept my punishment I can't forget our disconnect The things that we love just hurt us in the end", so the arrows obviously represent the heartache, and I guess maybe the red stuff would just be the memories and thoughts about the person they lost? Like that is the disconnect and as it looms over him in silence, he's reminded of what he no longer has?? I have no idea, but I hate not knowing what things mean so I will probably spend the rest of my life thinking about it lol You guys are wayyy too funny with how often things remind you of stuff that you can't remember the name of and then how Andrea always confidently says the completely wrong thing 😂 it's amazing, you guys are the best.
Yeah this was a cool song and video, a little different from our typical songs on the channel! You have some good thoughts on what the song/video mean, and I’m sure you’re way closer than us lol!!!😂-D
Northlane is amazing. I have loved all their albums once they got this singer/vocalist, Marcus. Highly recommend checking out some of their heavier songs like Bloodline, Details Matter, 4D, or Talking Heads(Personally the best of the 4 is Talking heads) from their album ALIEN. Best album they have done IMO and it is just so damn different than so many other bands in the same modern metal genre.
This is not your typical sound but a good song either way , this is also their second vocalist that joined the band later on. There are other songs have a lot of screaming in them as well. You should definitely check out other Northlane songs! Solid band.
I hear when a new band enters the metalcore gestalt, one of the metalcore elders brings them a care package containing several neon light rods and a handful of road flares, for future videos. 😉
Northlane are an absolutely unreal band from Australia. Some of thier most popular tracks are Citizen, cypher, talking heads, bloodline and clockwork.
Maybe from their newer ablums. They were peak with Adrian in 'Singularity'. With Marcus, 'Alien' is a masterpiece.
