Poppy's influences range from 60's Sunshine Pop to Extreme Metal and everything in-between, but David Bowie is her biggest inspiration. Makes a lot of sense when you consider how much of a chameleon of an artist he was.
@@njones420 you can thank Titanic Sinclair for her eating disorder. she's said he'd literally say she's ugly without makeup and fat. I would have worshiped the ground she walked on like a devout poppyseed. What an asshole!
i think this song is brilliant because the past few years she's been trying so many different concepts and its fresh for her to try something more simple, im excited for the album to come.
I love the new song! I think maybe her stint with pro wrestling music got her into lifting. Her EP EAT (NXT Soundtrack) is amazingly good. Heavy, great lyrics, and she produced the whole thing.
you're in for a really weird evolution, I caught it in real time and I'm still recovering from the Acid trip from very pop to kind of metal but still pop to where we are now.
A huge linkin park vibes in the verses! Also, i heard lp vibes in the preprevious album.. first track, riffage sort of new divide track P.s. sorry for my english, in case of my mistakes Thank you for your reaction!)
First thing i heard poppy on was V.A.N. and then I added her zig album to a playlist of metalcore music it had some pop and hip hop in there as well. I like her originals and her feature with knocked loose really cemented her into my artists to follow. This song was, in my opinion, one of the top things she's done and i have to say that because I am not a knocked loose fan, but her feature got that song to be one of my most listened to songs recently.
@@whatthefu3786 They said on a previous video, the record a week's worth of videos one day per week and release one each day - and there's a shit load to get through!
We try to keep it varied, check out artists we haven’t before but also need to prioritise the artists on labels who support us/whitelist our videos. We also only have enough time to shoot for one video per day and a LOT more music drops than that. We don’t decide based on the “message” of any song, as we haven’t heard it 99% of the time.

Decent track, and no hate on Poppy in the slightest but it feels like I've heard this exact song several times over the last couple of years. Metal scene getting a bit stale perhaps?
I think the point of the song is that the most shocking thing she could do at the moment is make something so mainstream. it also feels like a troll because fans were begging for heavy poppy, and now they have her, but not in the way they wanted
a normal sounding song is actualy the most shocking thing shes done
True! I mean the Flux album is there but I get what you mean
Jordan fish produced, thats why its so bring xD
poppy is really getting the attention she deserves!!!
Poppy is awesome singer and her career is really unique, so much different and great songs. After all is now Metalcore Queen 🤘

And yes, PROPS to Poppy's workout routine. Girl's got GUNS!
Poppy wasn't lying when she said "Poppy will break your neck".
She's a professional dancer too, she has posted gym pics before too so yup! she's cool af tbh a lot of admiration for her
Pretty amazing when you see her in Sit/Stay just a few years back...she was painfully thin....hence the "Eat" song (maybe?).

Bring me the Poppy!
My Favorite Poppy song has always and always will be Low Life. I remember jamming to that in middle school/high school
I LOVR LOW LIFE, MY FAV OF HER SOFTER SONGS
Started diving into poppy around the end of 2022. At the time you could barely find any reactions to her, I’m so glad thats starting to change now
i think this song is brilliant because the past few years she's been trying so many different concepts and its fresh for her to try something more simple, im excited for the album to come.
Just got to see her live performance of V.A.N. with Bad Omens and she was killer!
Been watching her for several years and I am so happy for her evolution she is killing it 🤙🏻🤘🏻
I love the new song!
I think maybe her stint with pro wrestling music got her into lifting. Her EP EAT (NXT Soundtrack) is amazingly good. Heavy, great lyrics, and she produced the whole thing.
Love this new song, love Poppy. Almost love you guys too lol
ALMOST?!
She's got a new fan, been checking out the Collabs she's done, but never dove into her discography, doing that now!
She has a diversity of music, from heavier stuff to pop or more chil songs ;D
you're in for a really weird evolution, I caught it in real time and I'm still recovering from the Acid trip from very pop to kind of metal but still pop to where we are now.
I had no idea Poppy rocked like that! Her last couple songs have been amazing!
i need a poppy/spiritbox collab
Either poppy and Courtney will become BFFs or hate each other like Poppy and grimes.
I love grimes, but the girl is kinda nuts, so there's that.
guess it kinda happened now lol, they both sang soft spine live
Jordan brought me the horizon to this one
Birthday Massacre vibes, I dig it.
Good catch 👍
I said this on the original video, it's super influenced.
Ohh yeah, very much so
This was so fun! Definitely picked up on the influences throughout the song. Cheers for the review lads ❤
You can hear how good Jordan Fish is a producer. You can also hear how Olly's crazy takes balanced well with jordan's production chops.
LP vibes, yeah also BMTH, Jordan's fingerprints are so palpable
This sounds VERY The Birthday Massacre. VERY. And its a good thing.
This track is fantastic!
Poppy is awesome
Only discovered her through Bad Omens last album, but really loving what she has been doing recently.
A huge linkin park vibes in the verses! Also, i heard lp vibes in the preprevious album.. first track, riffage sort of new divide track

This is one of poppy's first radio friendly lead singles lol so I'm sure the album itself is going to be a bit chaotic which I'm perfectly fine e with
poppy fkn blew my mind.
One of my favorite songs of the year so far 🙀

Nathan is so hot. Thanks for showing poppy love 🥰
Guy on the right is pinging that radar hard. You know what I mean.
Points of Authority is that Linkin Park feel!
Loving the playlist Johnny!
and the fact that this song is the most basic song from her and even with that she did so good!
In my opinion Poppy is the best artist in the world. (That's it 😊)
Greetings from germany guys! Have a good one
Hello there!
Its soooo much BMTH!!!
Love the song, all the influences.
Did get a bit of a pop metal vibe, not mad about it.
*pun not intended*
Absolutely wage war vibe chorus
This song is like if Linkin Park, mixed with a little Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf and a sprinkle of David Draiman. lol
Its all do Bad Omens
The vibe at the start is very Metric.
Huuuuuuuuuge chorus 😳😱
This has a very Breaking Benjamin vibe.
Sounds a bit like "my birthday massacre" type music mixed with bmth .... Bring me birthday massacre 😅
The other day I came across a new song called end up dead by Nick Thurl Mavromatis, He is gonna blow up soon. React to it ASAP 🔥
How do you guys choose new songs?
I'm curious, too. It's strange to me they didnt check out the new Future Palace song yet. Is it because of the message? Idk...

it's so refreshing seeing her not be original for once.
She is not POPPY İ AM POPPY OK?❤

Johnny is getting bald 😁
Nathan stressing him out

I wrote this before your familiar/formulaic comment at the end 😶
I think the point of the song is that the most shocking thing she could do at the moment is make something so mainstream. it also feels like a troll because fans were begging for heavy poppy, and now they have her, but not in the way they wanted
This is the first cookie cutter boring choice she’s made for a couple of years
This song is very bland
Only discovered her through Bad Omens last album, but really loving what she has been doing recently.
