Adam's a smart kid. He seemed to know what he needed to do in order to get his way. As soon as that proves to not be an option it can genuinely inspire change. That along with having to confront the death of his friend head-on; he may not have immediate results, but I think there was progress made.

I honestly think she just gets drunk and turns into Tasmanian devil and then doesn’t care about the consequences or effects. She just needed to be shown another light, she was very easy going sober and calm
I really liked the mom/wife in this. She was so logical and she didn't have the kids running like the military, just respectful. She so obviously cared for them as well. Like REALLY cared.

This was alright... it didn't even seem like the "parents" did anything. They basically just dropped them off at the group home and let them deal with the kids. This was the calmest episode when it came to parents and kids

Maaaan this episode got to me for some reason. Seeing the unwavering support these two teens had at any stage of their life made me realize how much support I lacked at those ages. I’m both happy something like this was out there for those teens and sad that it’s something I lacked.

I love the McDonald family! I saw them on the Australia version with Asa and Troy. I also looked into the McDonald family and all they have done for their community in Ohio, they're truly terrific people. Unfortunately Cassandra did pass away 4 years ago.

They said she could. They signed him over to her. She is his legal guardian. They said it in the episode loud and clear...
