      @rajikula8085 Yes, you can. MICd up works great. Now, don't expect using this as monitor. The sound can get lost in stage so you will not hear yourself. Other than that you can gig with it.

      @@ozzlayer thank you appreciate the feedback. I'm looking for an amp good enough to be both a practice amp and gig (small venues / pubs mainly) with in a band.

    Great review. Were you plugged in via the line out to record or did you mic the amp?
    I have a nice 2 x 12 Peavey cab with no head and I am trying to decide between the dark micro or this amp for small gigs, home stuff, and some outdoor gigs. The later would be better I am thinking with the dark micro head. I might get both and use this for everything but outdoor gigs.
    Again, great review. Great playing. I like gain and it sounds great.

  • @stratocaster539

    You can get rid of the hum by moving your guitar away from the amp. I thoroughly recommend a DI box and you can lift the earth hum with this and keeping your lead away from the amp.

    Very cool. Sounds great with the gain channel which is all I would probably use. I just ride my volume control.. I see I would probably want a noise suppressor for the loop. I may get the 60 watt instead, but not sure. Just because I'd like the bigger speaker.
    I'm also looking at the nextone 40 watt amp that is also solid state, but is supposed to feel and sound like a tube amp.
    May I ask when using it on the distortion channel will jt clean up ok with turning down the volume knib like a tube amp does?
    Thanks man. Very cool.
    Please do more vids about this amp if you still have it. I would like to hear it with the recording out as well to see how well the cab sim works for recording or gojng direct to FOH at a gig for example?
    Take care and be safe.

    Nice tones! Recently I downgraded to a Vox VT20X and it's ok, but there are far too many settings and options I know I'll never use.
    As a caveat, the tone I found personally most useful is based on an Orange Rockerverb.
    Aside from the option paralysis, I find the noise reduction to be quite the tone killer, and volume and tone roll off on my Gibson SG just is not up to par with the amp, hence why I've been looking at the Orange crush 35rt and came across your demo.
    Do you notice any of the mentioned issues that I've described with my current Vox? I'm thinking that this amp combined with my guitar and playing could get the tones I'm after a la Mastodon, Down (maybe need an OD up front) and Corrosion of Conformity- with some Skynyrd, Jackyl, Zeppelin, and AC/DC in for good measure.
    I'm concerned about notes sustaining, the decay of the note, and also don't want to have what I'd describe as a "snare hiss" going on.
    This seems to be what I'm after in regards to a good home amp to play in the smallish rooms in my house.
    Again good job on the demo and thank you for your time!

      @kylecoppola2770  7 років тому +2

      Sorry for the delay, but i do not notice any of your issues with the 35rt. but you also need to keep in mind its mainly a practice amp, but for the money and what it is this thing is amazing.

    I’m new to electric guitar and I’m in the process of choosing what kind of amp I want. The music I am going to be learning in classic rock, so I want an amp that can give me that quintessential classic rock tone, however I need a headphone jack, so I feel like because I’m a beginner it’s just easier to use a solid state amp. With that being said, is this amp good for that warm classic rock tone?

    • @kylecoppola2770

      Yes, this amp is perfect for some warm classic rock tones. I gotta say that this amp is pretty versatile. Hope this helps and keep up the practice!

    • @kylecoppola2770
      @kylecoppola2770  8 років тому

      Greetings, and thanks for watching! Yeah, I'd say this is loud enough to jam with a drummer. It may start to break up a bit, but none the less it could definitely handle a jam with some drums. For the money it's a great amp. The Blackstar HT20, HT40, HT60 are also great options, but are more expensive than this amp. I think you'll be a happy if you bought this amp. Thanks, hope this helps!

    I have the 20w one but when you've been playing with it for a while, it loses its brightness and the bass sounds ugly, it loses definition, I think why it's only 20w and I want to buy the 35w one but I don't know if it has these same problems or the other option is to buy me a 5w valve Buguera that is around the same price here

      +Veranek - Thanks for watching! If this was mic'd up I think this could certainly hold up in a small jam location. However, not mic'd up and simply cranked up this amp starts to break up and not sound that great at loud volumes. Hope this helps!

      I havn't tried, but I also do not own any "metal pedals" per-say. I think this little guy sounds pretty good without any pedals. I'm sure if you did run some pedals you could still get great tone, but by no means would I classify this amp as "metal".
