I've started cooking most meats in a crock pot so they shred very easily and my son loves it.
I love these videos! I started my daughter on purees when she was young, but with my son I've been doing BLW! It's so much more fun to watch him eat, and it's actually a bit easier to feed since he's doing the feeding :) I'm also a Seattle gal, woot!

I love these videos! Gives me loads of great ideas, there still loads of food my baby needs to try she’s just turned 10 months 🥰 I always give her blueberries made or mashed into things, I’m still nervous about giving her squished blueberries and grapes is another I get so nervous about 😩

Your videos are so inspirational for me and helping me with meal ideas and such with feeding my son. Your son is such a great eater! Please keep them coming! I’m in no means trying to tell what to do with your family but if I may say I highly recommend switching out regular JIF for their natural version. The regular has fully hydrogenated oils which can lead to clogged arteries. Just sharing! 🤗

I feel exactly the same way about every item in Rowan's eggplant meal. You chuck that food little man, fish, courgette and aubergine are GROSS! Aside from this, your BLW videos do always make me hungry 😂 When can I come over for dinner?

could you do Rowan's day in the life? Or maybe what he plays and what activities he does in a normal day? Finding it a little hard sometimes to find inspiration for play/keeping them occupied with something new and something that my babies will learn something from and just fun things. I feel like my default is always the same three activities.
And also, of course, your sweet little boy is just the prettiest cutest little boy and I love seeing him in your videos.

Dear Megan. Have you thought about doing a video of what you do with Rowan in a day as far as play? I think that would be really helpful.
Rowan is so cute :D I remember you said that Rowan was on the "smaller side" do you know what percentile he is? my baby is 8 months old and since being born has been below the 10th percentile for weight and height and i'm curious if it changes as they get older or if he'll be on the smaller side throughout his life.
Dear Megan, we just watched this video and weren't surprised to see that Rowan didn't like the eggplant. If you don't "sweat" your eggplant (cut it up, put salt on it to extract water and bitterness) it will be very bitter! Maybe he doesn't like eggplant, but it would be worth giving it another try!
That’s true! Though since eggplant has a much lower nutritional value than many other vegetables, the main purpose of giving it to babies during BLW is to expose them to a bitter flavor! And adding sodium to your baby’s food isn’t recommended at this age :)
Did you go full blw from the start or you also give him puree? Mannn hes such a good eater and you give him him really good variety of food. Im so jealous. My baby is so picky.

How did you teach him how to drink out of a straw?
Rowan is soo handsome! Random question - do you use any products in his hair? My baby's hair is long as well but I have no idea how to keep it tame or what products are safe :)

He actually took to it really naturally. I think Mama helped him a little bit but it took almost no training.
What age do you think baby can start on breads? Did you start with puffs?
As early as six months! We didn’t do puffs until he had developed his pincer grasp a couple months later
Do you have a snack cup for him that’s cute? I’m trying to find one and don’t love any of the ones I see on the market…

11:10 I saw on TikTok if you give babies a nope bowl they you can teach them if they don’t wait something to put it in the nope bowl instead of the floor.
I need to try this! My son loves throwing food on the floor 😩
@@Fridate I have cup holders on his tray and we showed him to put his food there and it works great. He’s 11 months old been doing it sense he was 6/7 months.

Hey guys! Just letting you know that cream cheese has a lot of sodium in it so it’s best to stay away from it before age one. I didn’t know before watching this and gave my 7 month old some on a bagel and he started having some issues. Heads up to Megan too if she sees this.
PS, if Megan is giving it to Rowan I’m sure she knows her baby and what he can handle. But I think it’s important to keep it in mind for your baby
Our pediatrician specifically told us to give him cream cheese as a good source of fat because he’s small. I’ve gotta go with me doctor’s advice on this one!
