Thank you for a very good informative video. You have helped me a lot. The location of my booster pressure solenoid is more hidden and difficult to dismount on my BMW N47T. I must remove at least 3 screws to dismount the metal plate where the pressure is installed. My experience is that this pressure used to short circuit when oil is coming into the pressure. After replacing this pressure most of the error disappear. Also after replacing the pressure converter nearrby the wastgate the turrbo is working much better. I too must replace all the hoses for the turbo vacuum system to get rrid of leakages.

@@ibrahimtomov445 Both F10/F11 have twin turbocharger. They have two Booster Pressure solenoids and two pressure converters. Two booster Pressure solenoids and 1 pressure converter are placed on a metall on the left side of engine if you stand in front of our car. The second pressure converter is near the wastegate on the left too.

Great video. In your video at 5:49 you connected the vacuum T-connector hose to the vacuum connector on the Booster pressure solenoid. The second connector "OUT" on the Booster Pressure Solenoid with Cyan color, where and which is this hose connected to? At 8:07 you connected the bottom of the Turbo Control Valve to a T-connector to vacuum. Where does the red hose on the Turbo Control Valve connected to? At 7:27 you connected "Out" hose with Cyan color from Booster Pressure Solenoid to where? I have a BMW F11 525D Xdrive I am not sure if the workshop has connected correct. The vacuum connector on the Booster Pressure is connected to the T connection from the Vacuum pump. The "OUT" connector with Cyan color goes to an old hose under the turbocharger. The bottom connector on my Turbo Control Valve goes to the T-connector Vacuum pump. The other connector on the Turbo Control valve goes to the Waste gate. Can you tell me if my connections on my turbocharger is correct? In 6 months I have had a lot of errors telling me that my turbocharger is not calibrated with error 29A400. Lately I have got error 299100 Pressure converter turbine flap, activation open circuit. The pressure converter refer to the Turbo Control valve. Correct? Does the error mean I have short circuit on my electronic waste gate? I know it is possible to order a new electronic part and replace it by unscrew 3 torque screws on the electronic part attaching to the turbocharger. Do you have any idea an how to check the electronic waste gate?

Very good video. Can I use 3,5 mm inner diameter vacuum hose for brake? My BMW 525D F11 car is 11 years old. My diagnostic tool tells me my pressure converter has short circuit. The best practice is to replace the old hoses at the same time as with the pressure converter.

      @@bmwhub6478hello dear. I know it's too late to ask this question. I recently bought a F25 X3 35d N57 which has 2 intermittent errors.
27B900 and 244C00. I have had it smoke pressure tested but it has no leaks. DPF is healthy and regenerating at regular intervals. Not getting enough boost and when giving 30-40% acceleration, it says drivetrain train error and limp mode.
When the garage diagnosed it, it showed Exhaust Gas Pressure before Diesel Particulate Filter is constantly at 0.5 bar and no change whatsoever. Can you help me what could be the problem? 🤔🤔😔😔

@@abhic2373 First find your intake manifold. Locate the map sensor on top of the intake manifold. Unscrew and take out map sensor, clean it with turbocharge cleaner or brake cleaner. Clean the hull too with a cloth with brake cleaner. How many km have your car? It seems to me your intake manifold may be glogged with carbon and oil and it need a complete clean service. I will suggest you take out and clean your intercooler as well. I had the same symptoms on my car BMW 525D Xdrive and I did the services as described and it helped a lot. It may be other failures too. Check your booster pressure solenoids and the pressure converters as well. Your car use 14,7 kg oxygen and up to 4 bar on the map sensor in a healthy engine. If your intake manifold is clogged and the map sensor is clogged too, the mixture of diesel and oxygen is not enough to ignite in a normal way and you loose power. Check your exhaust pipe, is it coming from black smoke? clean the exhaust pipe and take a drive, if the exhaust is still black and if you touch the exhaust pipe and your finger is full of black carbon then you have a problem with your intake manifold. A healthy car has no smoke and no black smoke on exhaust pipes.

This is a brilliant video and has helped me big time! I have the same job to do on my BMW and from watching your skills has certainly helped mine. I wanted to ask if you do not (mind) in the video at 6:37 what is the device in your hand is it another EGR solenoid, i looking in Haynes manul but it does not say what it is? Thank you BMW Hub in advance - 💯

Thank you :-) Yes, the part at 6:37 is the Vacuum/Pressure Control Valve (part #70078400) which is used for controlling the vacuum unit of the bypass valve (this is part of the EGR cooler). The bypass vacuum has part #11717803615. I hope this helped.

The diaphragm in the pressure converter had a slight leak and would not hold vacuum for extended periods of time. I used a simple vacuum pump to verify this.
