How did Chael just convince me that I never wanted to see a rematch that I desperately wanted to see...truly amazing.
I swear I can’t watch chael even though he is the goat he just says nonsense for 5-10 minutes
@@JamesKP17847shouldn't have taken the blue pill chump
Honestly it doesn't make sense for the ufc to do another rematch. There's so many variables. But I still want to see it
That is Chael. He can convince you of the opposite of what you want. But he does it in a way that makes you think he is endorsing your opinion. If I ever wanted someone to speak on my behalf it would be Chael.
@@peacemaker4829 who is there? Izzy beat them all twice, 2 match make more sense to close up everything and for izzy to see his future if he wants to keep fighting or retired
Gotta love chael being so humble saying he isn’t the best middle weight of all time. What a guy👍🏾
But did he really?!
Cue the inevitable "never lost a round" comments lol
He was middleweight then heavyweight? Steroids mutch?

I gotta say it's great to see people show so much respect to Izzy after this. I know a lot of people felt some type of way about his fights, and this was his chance to show us he could overcome adversity and he did. The mental strength required to stand in front of someone who's had your number like Alex has and do that to him, it's just incredible.
Did you see Izzy mock Alex Pereira's son by pointing at him and crumbling to the ground faking like he got knocked out .
It was a get back to his son who did that to Izzy when Alex Pereira knocked him out in kickboxing .
.
@@kev30631yep the whole night was literally perfect for him. Knocked him out in greater fashion then Alex ever did, got his win, had one of the best celebrations/post fight speeches, and got his get back on his son who mocked him. Perfect. Loved it
@@kev30631 Wow I didn't even realize that, I must of missed it through the choas at the bar I was at while everyone was absolutely losing it. Talk about having a perfect night for him lol.

This fight is a personal lesson for me that if you have faith in yourself, despite the entire world calling you names, you get there. Big salute to Izzy.
It really is bro.
Only through adversity does the real ones stand out.
Same here bro self confidence is one the keys to success
💯
It’s always a reflection of how a lot of people doubt themselves . They didn’t understand why izzy should be confident after the same guy had beaten him 3 times . Never give up !
Izzy is the kind of person who needs people to hate him to perform the best thats why he does weird shit like the collar and the cringe lines.
I'm from New Zealand and after Alex knocked out Izzy in the first fight, I desperately wanted a rematch to happen. Now after listening to the greatest of all time, the undisputed and undefeated Chael Sonnen tell us we didn't want a rematch I realize that I never wanted to see a rematch at all.
Good kid. Your Chael t-shirt is in the mail.
Tko not a real ko. What Izzy did was a real KO
@@sky-oq5mr lmaoooooo funny
Yeah man same boat 😂
Thanks Chael. Unbelievable insight 😂
😂😂
Izzy is a genius. The way he went back and pretended he was gassed and protected himself and then BOOM. Honestly it’s not the strongest fighters that win but certainly the smartest
Alex made a fatal mistake he should have waited for round 4 or 5 Izzy loses half his power after 3
Dont think he pretended to be gassed, just hurt from those calf kicks.
Nah he wasn't hurt by those kicks, I watched him cover his head like a boxer and draw him in and as soon as Alex dropped his guard and started throwing he snuck that right hand in there as fast as he could and that was it son.
My heart skipped a few beats when Alex had him against the cage. I thought it was going to end the same way. Izzy is an incredible counter striker, he played possum
@@CodysRPGlife He said in an interview he Was hurt by those kicks. You can even see him doing some kind of spin before getting into that position. Also, covering up against the fence is the last place you want to be. It wasnt a plan. Just very good from him to keep firing back with shots and keep the opponent defensively responsible, which Alex was NOT.
0:19 “Many have said I am the greatest.”!
Lmao I love Chael.
Only the greatest of all time would be so humble and say someone else was the greatest!
Chael is tripping when he said none of us wanted to see this, this is one of the few fights I bought instead of illegally streaming. Easily the most hyped fight of the year other than Connors return and jons return
I thought the same. 💁🏽♂️
Honestly Chael is wrong alot these days
@Cocaine Bear it's content brain....unfortunately cheal has become a click thirsty youtuber, worse for your mental health then CTE
Some sites for illegal streaming?
Izzy also said at the post fight presser in November that the rematch was definitely next🤷♂️
Listen let’s just put everything aside, the finish is not the most impressive thing, it is being able to over come the mental hurdle, the psychological challenge, and to be able to stay focused after everything that happened. Man I don’t think anyone has ever done this in MMA, to lose to a guy 3 times 2of them by KO And still come back stronger to finish him. That’s some crazy shit.
I mean Amanda nunes kinda
rampage jackson carried a 0-2 record against wanderlei silva i believe, but beat him in the ufc both times to even the score. both his losses in pride were by ko too, and silva was really feared then as knockout artist .

10 title fights in a row for Izzy. Took 2 loses in those fights as well. For him to come back from those loses might be the most impressive part of it.
A couple of things:
- Instant rematches for the belt should be reserved for dominant champs. Pereira had no defences (barely any fights for that matter) and lost the fight bad.
- Izzy doesn't want the fight.
- Pereira needs a long time off after such a brutal KO, while Izzy wants to stay active.
- The UFC really wants Pereira to move up a weight class. There've been close calls with his weight cuts.
There won't be an instant rematch
These two guys could fight twice a year and I would watch, they are so closely matched, every fight is awesome and unpredictable
That shit would be super unhealthy for alex...I think he should just move up and be terrifying to people there.
Izzy is the better fighter always was people never take into consideration he was winning last time until the stop

For Chael to call Izzy the greatest middleweight of all time, it really just shows you how humble Chael is. At this point it's obvious that it's kinda just unrealistic to expect any fighter to be as great as Chael. But I think Chael just certified him as #2

Your boy touches himself to anime lol. Alex is a bum too but Izzy fruity 🤣
Wanted Alex to win, but that KO was clean. Izzy earned this win, let him enjoy it. They fought 4x in 2 combat sports, and they both KO'd one another now. Let them fight other guys, these rematches are holding divisions back.
Yea but he was only just champ once bc the ufc does immediate rematches
There's nobody else other than Alex for Izzy to fight right now though, he's beaten Whittaker and Vetorri twice, and easily beat Cannonier and Costa. Dricus still needs one more big win to justify a title shot in my opinion, and Khamzat needs to prove himself at 185, though I do think he's a stylistic nightmare for either Izzy or Alex.
i agree bro especially in this circumstance. pereira really needs some more experience with takedown defense and ground work, and he needs to move up to 205 bc he can BARELY make 185 with virtually killing himself. if pereira goes against an actual wrestler with his current experience level he’s going to get destroyed.
Finally someone with logic the chapter is closed the whole rivalry is based on the fact that Alex had Izzy's number Izzy almost had him a few times and with that ko it ends it
3-1 is all we got to say
Given how they had a talk after the fight, the post fight interviews, Alex's interest in moving to LHW, what Dana said and overall reaction to the fight. I don't think we need or will have another fight. It was a nice end to that rivalry, I feel weirdly at peace with how it turned out and left with so much admiration for both fighters.
End to that rivalry, stfu it’s 3-1 you casual and 1-1 in mma
Yeah the both knocked each other out, no need to run it back

What if I told you it was three punches
@@NiceguyBananne Yeah... Pereira rolled with the first, but that set him up for the one that got him, less impressive, as that second one was. He should have stayed low and gone for the grapple. But it's a worrisome thing when the best contender is still learning that MMA isn't always about winning. It's utilising the options when the SHTF. The third one... he was already out... dead curious if IA knew that but wanted it anyway.
@@GuerillaCatty73 that was def his inexperience. Even a standard boxer wouldn’t have gotten finished in that exchange but the beauty of MMA is the chess game. So much to think about. IA knew he was out but you know the rules it’s up to the refs, and the last thing you want is him to recover and they stand it back up like Gypsy king vs Wilder.
@@NiceguyBananne Yeah... and frustrating AF, on a payment per minute scale.
His ability to nuke worked against him. He had total faith in himself and didn't cast a suspicious eye over what he was seeing. That's sad, because he's been the golden goose, bringing genuine heart pounding uncertainty and hunger to a tired production, and now is sacrificed to the painfully cliched narrative the organisation wants to sell.
3D chess. So many options you wear yourself out.
I think he was too fast for the ref... but it had a corpse abuse look about it, an ugly little moment.
I don't think Pereira even knows what it is to play possum. Unfortunately. Stand and deliver type.

It’s so wild, everyone in my life was honestly scared for Izzy. But Izzy dug fucking deep, he was absolutely on the verge of collapse and he DUG a knockout out of that collapse.
There’s no question now, you can’t say Izzy isn’t one of the 2 best middleweights of all time. And realistically he’s the 1. Hats off to Izzy. He really has made the first third of my year with this fight, and more specifically the heart that he showed to turn it around. There’s not an ounce of give-up in that man.
Izzy wasn't about to collapse at all. It was a setup. He started to do it earlier too but decided it was too early to believably feign being that hurt. Honestly it was still a bit earlier but it worked. He won with raw intelligence.

@@DustyRoadz the 50 tweets about usada watching ppl every minute until the fight? he knew how big he was first fight and didn’t say anything. but if he lost that would’ve been his main excuse. i’m an izzy fan but cmon now
Never been happier to see a guy win a fight in my life.

Poatan throws that short left hook with his elbow low so he can throw it fast, you don't see it in close range, and when you do, you have to guess if he's throwing it to the body or the head. His head is wide open though. High risk, high reward move. Good for Izzy for figuring it out. He was waiting for it but Poatan was careful in the beginning and he had to play possum to draw it out.
Izzy didn't look serious in this fight in his appearance, even press conference talked like someone frustrated or compelled to fight when he didn't have to. But inside his heart, he planted a time bomb by laying a dangerous trap for Alex and he caught him. Bravo Izzy
Yeah and thinking about it . . Imagine going forward to another fight and someone else has him against the cage and he thinks adesanya is knocked out. Is he going to go in with confidence or be real careful thinking I can get knocked out. So what he did last night will help him in future fights.
I observed the opposite. Izzy looked extremely serious and dialed-in pre-fight and behaved like he wanted this more than anything.
I thought he looked extremely focus as well
I thought he looked angry and emotional. He definitely wanted this shot.
Lmao what? Y’all are so fuckin weird bro he was clearly locked in for this one like never before. Miss me with that bs analysis 🤣🤣
Genuinely happy for Izzy. Well done mate
Respect Cheal, u do what u know best 👍
We need it! Uncle Chill we need it!! This is what I'm saying this is a true trilogy! It has to happen! Please make it happen Uncle Chivalry! We need this!
What if Alex moves up to LHW and wins the title. It might set up a third MMA fight with Izzy at LHW, i.e. if Izzy is still the MW champion by then... Taking another shot at the double champ...
he not beating Jamal Hill😂
@@jezzac2579 hill has got no advantage over Alex tho.
Alex needs to get his reputation back first.
A unanimous decision loss to Izzy would have been better for him than this.
Getting knocked out at 35 ain't a good look He already restarted this MMA career at the later part of his combat life.
@@kev30631 of all people he should not have his reputation lost, sure 1-1 in MMA but 3-1 in life. Think about beating someone 3 times in a row, then they beat you once and suddenly hes a god and you're a nobody. Lots of reactionary fans
@@Solivigant. you're right. except experience with fighting lhw fighters. it'd be a great story line for him to try and avenge his OG Glover tho.
Such an amazing post-fight analysis from Chael Sonnen, undefeated and undisputed, never lost a round!
Bullshit Anderson Silva is the best middle weight of all times
Ahhhhh... . .. Uncle Chael
Always delivers!
Bro I was actually in that fight card driving down from Miami EPIC
I felt like Alex was a bit too confident and rushed for the KO. If he waited til the 3rd or 4th round, he would’ve been able to beat Izzy! Not to take anything from Izzy’s performance tonight but I’d love to see a third MMA fight between these two great warriors
You are not Izzy fan . Go head all the haters lights up.
That's not true
Stop crying
@@gordonchuck4974 lol salty huh??? it's now 2-0 KB 1-1 mma.. Alex left his chin opened for izzy's desperate counter... Can't you just be glad you witnessed a great fight and now you have a great rivalry... It cant be a rivalry if it was 4~0
@@gordonchuck4974 it’s still 3-1 your the hater 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you Alex for keeping the belt warm for stylebender 🎉🎉
Hundred percent agree that they should have a rubber match for this fight. I mean one win for Piereia was a CLOSE decision win. One win was a knockout, and one win was a TKO. Then Izzy won by knockout. He needs one more win and they are even, if you want to look at it that way, but in this case they've fought twice, Izzy got koed and then Piereia got koed. In any other situation if you look at it just from their fights in the UFC, there has to be a trilogy fight. It has to happen.
How often do we get a third fight? Matt Sierra didn't get a rematch vs Matt Hughes, Vitor didn't get one vs Randy Couture. I'm having trouble thinking of other times we've been in this situation.
Don't know if Izzy's right hands, imaginary arrows, or the post KO floor drop directed at Lil Pereira
hurt Alex the Most
Facts
Alex has zero head movement.. he moves around like Frankenstein. Izzy just had to find the courage to attack fearlessly. Seeing that he could hurt Alex in the last fight gave him all the confidence he needed.
@@chrisconnors9449to be fair alex has an imaginary force field ( left hook range) people like strikland found out...izzy baited him and waited after he threw his combo...brilliant
The way alex naturally stands its almost as if he is leaning his head back backwards...he is so lanky and so dangerous it must feel impossible to throw a clean combo blitzing in without a set up
@@chrisconnors9449 you killed me with Frankenstein
Well pereira’s son mocked Izzy when Izzy got knocked out in kickboxing so the son kinda had it coming
I am not even a fighter but that performance was very emotional and personal for me as it did touch many other people outside of fighting as well.
We are all fighters in life and the whole match lead up, how he knocked him out, the celebration was just of the top.
Opposite for me lol I wanted Pereira to win.
Unreal for Izzy, one of the greatest moments I’ve ever witnessed!!
