Reminds me of the time Chael knocked Tito down, then made him tap, and then did a bow and arrow celebration
get tf outah here 😅
Izzy should thank him for that. Undisputed, undefeated.
I’ve been watching ufc religiously since 2008. That was legitimately one of the most insane moments of all time
If you really watched it since 2008 you wouldn’t be saying that 😂
@@jerrybnasty5115
Why
Cuz you're an Alex fan or what?🤨
@@jerrybnasty5115 cry 😢
It was a win, the KO was decent, wasn’t even that big of a shot. What was so great about that win? Give a guy enough chances and he should win eventually. One of the most memorable moments, not really. Conor becoming first double champ in history, flatlining Jose, falling dead in like 20 seconds is memories for me. Israel won but it was aight nothing spectacular.
@@STiergoofball Alex doesn’t have fans lol just a bullshit ass fight. It looked like an Alex dive
As an Izzy fan I genuinely felt weightless when he got that KO. Nothing could piss me off for that whole week.
Absolutely! I was walking on clouds for a hot minute after that. Stupendous.
It was sooo amazing !! Adesanya's fight IQ is amazing !!! He said he set up a possum trap and Pereira walked right into it !!! I really like Pereira and adesanya. But adesanya deserved it so much !!!
Facts!! I was on Cloud 9 the whole week
Istg I’d never been that happy for a month straight 😂 all the shit ppl were talking and just like that they all shut up
yo dead Asss ! Soaring
Epic win. I'll always remember losing my mind when he landed and Alex went down
Izzy breaks nail and fan girls alike are losing their minds¡

My and my boys all jumped up so fast spilt my drink all over
It was crazy, the way Izzy was getting pressured I thought he was literally about to go down, then that shit happened
I was there live and everybody was screaming when Izzy was getting styled on, then Izzy KOs Alex and everybody was screaming even louder on their feet. I was shooting arrows w Izzy reactively without even thinking lmfao
Izzy’s post fight speech about going after it in life, even when people are shitting on you, is the greatest I’ve ever heard. A true athlete.
The speech was fucking awesome HOWEVER the opening line "PEOPLE OF EARTH" made my asshole cringe it was that bad
The story was what made it so compelling. Going 0-3 and having Pereira follow him to a different sport just to dethrone him was like something out of a movie. Izzy's absolute last opportunity to right the wrong and he completely flipped the script.
Well he didn’t flip the script, it’s 1-1 and he refused the 3rd fight along with Dana moving Pereira up to LHW, but he did win and regain his title.
@@Brock.R yeah but when your winning all last 3 fights and and lost them all but then put the dude out cold when everyones saying alex had his number and the script written was that izzys meant to lose because thats what history says , .. yeah the script was flipped 😁
@@dominicjacobs5627 anything can happen in a fight tho so if ya fight someone four times your bound to win one of them at that skill level anyways

@@curtismclaughlin4723 round for round izzy actually has HIS number. he just loses the last round all the time. this time he deaded it quick.
Israel Adesanya "The last Stylebender" will undoubtedly become one of the Goats
But like Chael said *only* when all is said n done and he leaves the game.
104-6 is his current *Combat Sports Record* 🐐
Insane record
Right now top 10 greatest MMA fighters of all time for sure☝️
He will for sure be top 5 worthy for most if he beats Rob a third time and if he beats any other great ground fighter like Khamzat for example or maybe Bo Nickal
One of them
And if he also maybe becomes double champ then he will 100% be top 5👏
104-6.......what a fighter!
@@STiergoofballHe is already in that top 5 list

I got him on 6 or 7 right now
I am still not sure if I would put him into top 5
For me personally, 2 more title fights wins against anyone and then he is for sure top 5
And to be undisputed top 5 greatest UFC fighters for all time people he needs that stuff that I meantioned
Absolutely one of the most iconic victories in combat sports... the backstory with Alex, the way Izzy won and the celebration, will become a movie someday. It would be interesting to see it from Alex side, in parallel. They are both heros in their own stories and to their fans.
A movie… and who plays the 5 year old kid? Remember that part with Izzy mocking a kid saying “f the kid”? Inspirational wasn’t it?
@@tyl3rb-fw6ee
Not inspirational
But hella funny because it was so goofy ngl
@@tyl3rb-fw6ee cry 😢
@@STiergoofball I say make it the highlight of the movie. And have them replay it at the Cannes film festival alongside Izzy’s life story that’s being played there (hilarious). @@tyl3rb-fw6ee
True
But he was 12 tho
Makes it even better
Izzy is literally the only champ who calls out his challengers not the other way round
Except when he tries to move up a weight class and gets destroyed. He’s a champ but no double champ. He’s aight.
Yeah he wants easy fights he's openly avoiding the trilogy at mw even though Alex can't make the weight anymore. Saying "the score is settled" lol
@@Surtac100 lol wouldnt really call it destroyed though ... izzy did better against Jan than Reyes and Corey Anderson , actual LHWs
In life we always hear people telling us:,,When you make a mistake, just do it again until you do it right😉"
But people rarely do this when it really matters☝️
Izzy never gave up and won the most important fight of his career is a perfect way
Truly one of the most inspirational moments in combat sports history in my opinion👏
That win was very triumphant. The sport is better with Izzy he understands the fight game
Yeah he understands wearing earrings, dresses and painting your nails will get headlines

@@squadabingo9113 LGBT is so hot right now
@@libertarianpunk8558 you mean he’s ducking the hard fights for the easy ones. Like choosing to have words with a 6th ranked Du Plessis and calling his battle with Pereira “one and done” running off with 1 victory over 3 losses. I've nev34 watched a sports event in my life and felt so happy for someone in my 30 years...I'm not even a huge MMa fan. But that was amazing
It was an amazing moment. You can tell who the rotten people are who try to downplay that.
It was a great moment but no way the greatest moment in our generation. Conor being the first double champ not to mention everything else he did, is the greatest moment in our generation whether you like him or not.
@@Surtac100 Can you read the title? it says one of, the greatest moments. Stop seething and get inspired

it definitely is. people were going insane when it happened
Ikr! I was 😅
Like people are STILL talking about it and that was 2 months ago. In this time where we discuss stuff for a day and move on to the next.
This will be one of these moments that you will show a person and tell him:,,Look, this is what you can achieve when you don't give up and stand up like a man☝️"
He’s good enough to be a champ but not a double champ. Poland smashed him back down a weight class.
The best part is when Israel gave notice to Pereira son.

@@Surtac100 you're just a bitter 🤡 jumping on people's comments to hate on Izzy .. your life must be so worthless that you can try to diminish others . Izzy earned his title shots . If you think Pereira is good enough then let him clean out the division like Izzy and Whitaker did ...
Uncle chael always first never last undisputed #1
I've been a ufc fan since 2000 and izzys ko of Alex. Is my favorite moment of all time. When he released the arrows on Alex after my mouth dropped ..so good
me and my friend are new to watching ufc/mma and this is the first ppv we bought and watched live, alex had a beautiful finishing sequence going then izzy starched him, we both jumped up out of excitement, he got his 1 and im glad to have watched it live
i mean seriously, find a moment in ufc that was as great as this, first fight was a sketchy decision, second fight alex was saved by a standing 8 count, alex follows him to mma and third fight izzy was winning and was arguably stopped early, then he finally gets his one
mma trilogy for the lhw strap is gonna be huge
This is bs I’m a little bias , but people talked about Alex’s win way more , it was his 3rd win against the dude and he was undefeated in the ufc and hunted Izzy down in the midst of a crossover from kickboxing.
That was beautiful. I mean that sincerely. I had to watch it twice to fully grasp it. I agree with you 100% as I often do. Epic video.
😂😂😂 every time he says Ki-Kar i cant help but too think about king Ki's car in DBZ 😂😂😂
when you're talking about the face of the sport, Chael had the best bone structure by far.
I was watching this at home. My kids were all asleep. I yelled so loud I woke up my house. I then explained that one of the greatest ends to a fight just happened!
No you didn't 😂
This would be a heart-warming compliment for Izzy
Kai Kara-France might be referring to the history and lineage of kickboxing and MMA (champions and coaches) in New Zealand.
There is lineage there, given from master to master.
Two elite kickboxing champions 💥💥
Stil can't understand why pereira rushed off guard like adesanya was harmless..
Legendary win for adesanya, but peireira mistake is a mystery
Just two more to break even
Even as someone who isn’t really a fan of izzy I 100% give him credit and respect him for being a damn fighter. Nothing more annoying than the guys that want to pick and chose who to fight and only fight once or twice a year. Izzy fights anyone anytime anywhere and that is great thing.
FAX
A lot of people argue that part of that makes GSP the GOAT is his losses against Hughes and Serra and then defeating them in the rematches. It showed that he had the ability to overcome adversity and setbacks. Izzy's ability to come back after losing not once, not twice, but *three* times to Pereira and knock him out to reclaim his title elevates his stature above what it would have been if he'd beaten Pereira in a decision win in their first UFC fight.
I can’t let you get close Uncle Chael
You acted great in "Mojave Diamonds" by the way! Was a fun movie!
Chael "Mason Brothers" Sonnen
That is so true about getting credit after one dies. A lot of authors and artists are like that. One of my favorite books, the author couldn't get it published and killed himself, and his mom convinced someone to publish it after and it got recognition. It's a really funny book imo
Because of the story behind Izzy vs Alex 2. That I can think of (I have watched every UFC PPV from 1-288) that might be the greatest KO in UFC history because of what it meant.
*Izzy vs Alex 4

The biggest moment of our generation is when Chael does a leg switch on here.
Even Jon Jones who's Not a fan said: The boy is a bona fide Star ⭐..#IZZY
Every thought chael’s ever had was made into a UA-cam video
Lol, why?
One of the few times i can say i watched a video from the great sage and learned i should've done my laundry
I should have just listened to the opening statement and zoom down to the final statement Kai Kara France is right
I had gone to Buffalo wild wings to watch the fight and damnnn everyone was into it, it was more packed and the energy was much stronger than when Jon beat Gane
Central pennsylvania has amazing highschool wrestlers, so does north central Pennsylvania. It starts young.
I imagine chael hanging out in his war room. Looking at the state of things.. and just starts pouring gas..
The UFC needs to put Chael on salary inside the marketing budget because selling and promoting any of the fights in June is the same as convincing us that throwing a tennis ball could demolish a concrete building.
Alex gets a lot of hate from Izzy fans but it’s important to realize that he is one of the greatest combat athletes of all time. If you do unbiased research on him there’s no denying it. He’s a natural talent and arguably the most dangerous striker of all time
No one disputes that, but Izzy is master when it comes to the UFC.
Isn't it like literally the other way around?💀
Izzy got so much hate by Alex fans
I feel like Conor and his achievements are the greatest moments of our generation.
100%
Yes barely squeezing out a win against Diaz in their 2nd bout was much greater than knocking out a monster like Pereira in the 2nd round
Funny how you didn’t mention him being the first double champ in UFC history. Flatlining Jose dead in 20 seconds. Destroying Eddie Alverez. Put on a clinic.
Israel tried to be a double champ but got smashed….come on…
Very true
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Did Chael just reference Van Gogh and the starving genius artist trope?
Facts
hold up Chael's uncle is THE MEL COUNTS? I have no idea what he said after that my mind is blown
Now you're talking. This is a case where someone's over the top star entertainment quality gets in the way a bit of their accomplishments. This was a special moment. Alex Pereira is the best thing to ever happen to Israel in terms of an opponent in the same way Conor was for Khabib. I think these two pushed Israel and Khabib to new levels they may've not reached otherwise.
The headspace Israel was in and setting a trap and springing it with that level of conviction takes courage. His goal was not to win but to knock unconscious Alex Pereira and he did. I disagree with Chael on one thing. This is not done and there is not a limit on how many times these guys should fight. If and when Izzy goes up to 205 that will be an amazing fight. For now it's good.

Chael is truly a man of the people. Why? Gets his coffee cups from Wal-mart, just like the rest of us ...
Most NBA record books start after Wilt. Because if you don't, most of the top 10s are all just him. A bunch of records were broken in the NBA this year. All significant in their own right, don't get me wrong. But a couple of Wilt's were. And those things stood for nearly 60 years.
The bandwagon jumping has been insane to watch 😅

Izzy is WAYYY bigger than Whitaker and he’s still in title talks despite losing two title fights…
I was going to say something ...but then I remembered what Joe Rogan said about people who make comments on UA-cam 😂😆😂
Alex is my current favorite fighter, I don’t like Izzy. But that was a great win, I do think Alex wins 30 out of 50 fights between the two, However MMA is a spot about the NOW, and Izzy won when everything was on the line. I have to respect that
As an Izzy fan since his kickboxing days, the lead up to 287 was the toughest. The amount of hate videos, comments made. That KO made me feel better and truly one of the greatest storyline
I personally think Alex beating him and winning the belt after 7 pro fights trumped it. The way I seen Izzy ko was like…. Well he was always gonna win 1 😂
nah its alex coming in fresh as a daisy to the ufc and almost taking his soul again like a fucking boogeyman lol
Crazy how little and scrawny he is but is a machine in game

@@davidmitchell4268 Izzy is even more so. Izzy is 6'4 185er. Jones was 6'4 205er. Izzy physique surprised me that he doesn't have trouble with more wrestlers. When a guy weighs the same as you but he is shorter he is hard to defend takedowns
It is a biggest moment when it takes ya a quarter of the century to beat perrira 😂😂😂

It's the saddest for me. I've never felt so devastated after watching a fighter I love loose. Adesanya has not rubbed off well on me I see a boy trying to impress everyone. The win gives him a green light to be cringe asf again.

No as big as other fights. Izzy almost beat him via KO or decision in the previous fight. Not a surprise he won this time. Izzy has a high fight IQ. Weidmen Koing Silva was way bigger. Nate beating Conor too.
Yeah exactly, i just dont like the 180 turn the meatriding all these clown ass bandwagoning "fans" do online, first its jocking alex when he won, and then immediately when izzy won they tried burying alex calling him a scrub and saying "HES NOT WORTHY TO FIGHT IZZY AGAIN! What about when Alex knocked him up???😅

Izzy is extremely lucky it isn't 4-0. Pereira was well on his way to easily beating him this time around.
Pereira is lucky that he survived round 1 after being saved by the bell in MMA fight 1. And lets not forget the robbery in Kickboxing fight 1. And the count fiasco in KB fight 2.
