All the punisher ones
2015 Fantastic four and batman and robin 1997.
Absolutely no
1984 Supergirl
JOSS WHEDON'S JUSTICE LEAGUE!!!
I was with my friends years ago during the Affleck controversy when they canceled his script and his role as batman was up in the air, and we tried fancasting an older Batman. We through around names like John Ham or Josh Brolin. I made the mistake of saying "You know, George Clooney would make an awesome older Batman" and it took a moment for me to realize what I had just said
Josh Brolin was actually up for the Batman role in Batman V Superman but he was to busy doing Thanos I guess
@@Oregonman2011 yeah I saw that! I can imagine him in BvS but not Josstice League or even the Snyder cut. It hurts that Batman and Robin happened because George Clooney would've been fantastic as a serious batman
@@Oregonman2011 He wasn’t too busy and wanted the part. As he said in April, “That was his (Snyder) decision - that wasn’t my decision. That was his decision.” He just lost to Affleck where he said he would have been more raspy. It wasn’t a scheduling conflict. Affleck was cast as Batman in August of 2013 with Brolin as a finalist and Brolin was cast as Thanos in May of 2014.
I say Clooney COULD make a great Batman/Bruce Wayne. Batman and Robin just had it all wrong.
George Clooney wouldn’t be bad though his Batman movie was trash but that’s the WBs fault.
I was a bit surprised when Coy talked about the basketball scene in Catwoman that he didn't point out it is Benjamin Bratt in the scene & then he also plays basketball in Doctor Strange.
Scott Derrickson saw Catwoman and was like, one day I will redeem a very small part of this.
Yes Coy, you were brave to say it! I'm rooting for ya!
Also, it makes me sad that we could have gotten a Michelle Pfeiffer led Catwoman movie...
I do agree that we should've gotten Michelle Pfieffer in her own movie. I remember that I came up with an interesting rewrite idea of Catwoman; not saying it would've been better, but it'd at least make more sense than what Pitoff put out. First, I'd have fired the director/replace director. Pitoff doesn't know s-t how to do empowering. Second, make the story a passing the torch story like The Mask of Zorro or Batman Beyond, with a retired Selina Kyle training this inexperienced Patience Philips. Third, 🤦♂️ if you're gonna make Sharon Stone and "evil make-up" work, make it Re-Nuyu from the Batman the Animated Series, turning Stone into a version of Lady Clayface. Again, not good, but better than the actual movie.
The worst is for me is probably Catwoman or Fant4stic hard to choose which is worse
Well do you prefer absolute cringe or absolute dogshit and disrespect
you arent gonna convence me x men origins is worse then catwoman lol not by a mile
Fan4stic is not close to as bad as Supergirl since the first hour isn’t terrible. Superman IV is awful too and worse than Fan4stic.
Some of these movies are my childhood and it’s true nostalgia blinds my views on them, that’s why I’m scared to see them again because I know I’ll see how bad it really is 😂
Mines was mouth shut Ryan Reynold off of Wolverine origins. My brother and I used to have fun loving his fighting and the laser eyes as kids lol GOOD TIMES
I approve of this list. Mostly because you DID NOT include Roger Corman's Fantastic 4 in it. That movie is actually highly entertaining and seems to have been made with a great love for the source material, they just also happen to have been making it for less than a million bucks.
It is frankly not as awful as people say and the cast and crew were tricked where they didn’t realize it was being made to keep the rights.
It would not belong on this list because it wasn't given an actual release. We only know of it because it was "released" later as pirated copies. Hate it or love it can't count it.
Hell, there were a number of clumsy TV movies and theater releases in the late 70's and 80's not even mentioned and the reasons for failure were all the same - a limited budget. Even the 89 Punisher film, which would have lent itself to a modest budget seemed cheap. Only the first two Superman movies and the 89 Batman film set the bar in those dark times.
BvS is one of my favorite superhero movies ever, 5/5 film for me. But it's okay if it's not for other people. Still though, I laughed my ass off at 9:51, go on Greg lol
Can't be your favorite it's rlly bad bro
@@simpbirderenjaeger3620 to you.
@@simpbirderenjaeger3620 Bro doesn’t understand how opinions work
@@thebatman. most of the nerd culture doesn't
I loved the directors cut. It took the movie from okay to very good.
Well put re: Wolverine - the whole Weapon X thing isn't really an 'origin' of Logan as the person, just the claws. His trauma and relationships predate the metal.
Loving Coy's comic corner, great list of the not so great.
Completely agree on your BvS & MoS take.
Dark Phoenix is absolutely worse imo. Not only does it waste Oscar Issac's co-star in "Scenes from a Marriage", and future oscar winner, Jessica Chastain, as a villian, which you probably forgot what her name was (it's 'Vuk' btw, which is....something), but it's another shot at the Phoenix saga, WITH THE SAME WRITER. Wasting it once again, meaning Marvel won't touch for at least 15 years now. Can anyone tell me why she wanted it anyway?
Jennifer Lawrence has completely given up, and is phoning in every scene, even more so than the previous outing, along with Nicholas Hoult. Sophie Turner is at her worst, Evan Peter's Quicksilver is an afterthought and written out of the movie, etc. It's not even trying to be serviceable, no one put any effort in.
The best line is, " There's always a speech, but nobody cares anymore", which sums up the entire feeling of the film, from crew to audience.
I think Sophie Turner and Jennifer Lawrence with a good script and good directors could do well.
@@AkodoNoEyes Jennifer Lawrence complained about painting up to be blue and it’s a plot point in the movie where she hated doing Apocalypse and did Dark Phoenix for the paycheck. Sophie Turner’s American accent is also just not good.
@@DanV900 then make her British. She’s a good actress when given good material.
I was wondering Coy, if you could recommend to Greg and John if they would like to react to the DCAU which is the DC universe comprised of Batman the Animated Series, Superman the Animated Series, Batman Beyond and Justice League and is considered by comic book fans one of the greatest interpretation of the DC characters?
Yes!! They need to react to more DC animated stuff, the DCAU movies and shows are some of the best DC stuff out there!
Kevin Conroy will always be my favorite Batman. Along with Mark Hamill as Joker it should be as respected as Adam Wests version.
@@CrystalLynn1988 Adam West’s version is not as respected as Conroy, Bale, and Keaton. About the only people that are put above Adam West nowadays are Val Kilmer and George Clooney honestly.
This is a very nice and understanding comment section. Gotta love the reject nation, that or Coy's videos just attract the understanding fans haha. Even people disagreeing with the choices are being understanding.
Coy as someone who really enjoys BvS, i agree with every word you said.
Action was still good tho!
Spiderman 3 should be replaced with tasm 2 now I don't know y people calling it grate movie for me that was garbage and i recently re-watched it and still it's garbage atleast spiderman 3 had few good things about it
Yeah I agree
Yeah I barely even remember tasm 2. But I still remember all the good scenes from S3 most of them (in my opinion) involving sandman.
Not even close tasm2 is better in nearly every aspect Spider-Man 3 is only still relevant for meme sake
I like BvS, but I also like Coy, and I feel like you did a good job of explaining why you didn't like it. Really liked this video, love seeing Coy do more videos.
Great video Coy, you guys are doing great and appreciate the insight you provide in each video!
Most of these I saw in the theater with friends (except for Fantastic Four, Elektra and Spiderman 3 - I've never seen those) and I just remember having a good time. I don't think we really cared too much if they were good or bad. Worth a watch, then out for drinks afterward. Watching this, I realize that they weren't the best, but they were ok for the time they came out. Thanks Coy!
Coy is so enjoyable. He's the walking, talking, all informative encyclopedia of super hero comics for someone who is too lazy to go read them all. Great video. Also Batman and Robin was so unforgettable when I watched it theaters and I was probably 10 at the time. What a waste of a cast. Green Lantern is also one of those things I really want to see work as well because the idea behind it, haven't read the comics, seems so cool. Hopefully they do something cool with it going forward.
Thank you for acknowledging bane's intellect. He's my favorite in batman's rogues gallery. No one ever talks about his intelligence and it sucks. They think he's just a brute.
Love Coy's breakdown of comic book movies. He is so knowledgeable and makes such good points.
Everytime I see Green Lantern I always see the potential it could have gotten. But because it’s Ryan, Taika, and Blake I let it slide 😄 Great video as always Coy ❤️ 🤜🏼
Unpopular opinion:
I found Simon Kingerg's direction in DARK PHOENIX pretty solid
He was able to give the movie an identity of its own, rather than trying to replicate Bryan Singer's direction
Unlike Brett Ratner tried to do in THE LAST STAND
He didn’t shoot the third act action though and another person was brought in for that. Kinberg was only allowed to shoot dialogue scenes since his original third act was so bad and tested so poorly. It would have been just Scott and Prof. X going to the UN and trying to stop Jean who then has her change of heart and flies into space to destroy the alien ships like the end of Captain Marvel. So anything you like action wise in the third act isn’t Kinberg. His direction was very poor. Randomly on a TV after one incident from Jean that was public, it is announced that mutants are being rounded up and never mentioned again. So as far as we know, mutants continued to be rounded up.
Sadly, it wasn't that much better when it came to adapting the story. Both cases, Jean didn't really feel like a character.
I still maintain there's about 80 minutes of a very good "X-Men: Civil War" movie within Dark Phoenix (which on the whole is a better movie than I think it's given credit for).
Ayee Coyd Comic Corner, its good to see you man. Wondering if you managed to catch that "Bar Fight" Easter Egg on first watch?
It would be awesome if you just talk about what comics you are reading recently and some recommendation at the end of every coy's comic corner video because I and most of people first got interested in this series because your insight and recommendation of great comicbooks.
My first impression of Elektra was that the writers stole the plotline of Elektra facing off against the gauntlet of supervillain ninjas from the 1993 anime film "Ninja Scroll". Coy, if you haven't seen that movie, you should check it out. It's a classic.
Hands-down, even WORSE (somehow) than X-Men Origins: Wolverine -- was Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. There are NO WORDS for how bad this film was. There was nothing fun, or interesting, or redeeming about this movie. It was flaming garbage from beginning to end. And just having to remember it has somehow HURT my very soul.
9:20 this is how I feel when people get mad at me for liking Thor Love and Thunder
Thank you I feel the same way
Solid list! And yes I agree, I’ve always been a defender of that early era of comic book movies bc IT WAS seeing these amazing characters and comics we’ve read as kids coming to life, but some of these flicks are just indefensible lol
First I read this comment and thought, great comment. Then I saw who wrote it, and thought great commenter. Appreciate you “Machine”.
I completely agree with your take on BvS. It's those same reasons that I completely dislike MoS. The complete mischaracterization of Superman. He usually doesn't kill.
The Amazing Spider-man 2 is Arguably worst then spiderman 3
Very untrue. It is uneven and both overstuffed, but there is more emotion in Gwen's death and Peter visiting the grave than all of SM3. The chemistry between Garfield and Stone is palpable; there was genuine heart in that relationship. The suit is the most accurate of all movies regardless of quality. It had more of a reason for the villains teaming up than "well ya see it wasn't who you thought killed Uncle Ben, we are disregarding that entirely"
@@jloh3256 exactly I don’t get why anyone argues that… I think it’s just nostalgia for most people TASM2 is much better than it even gets credit for
The only thing I remember about X-Men Origins was Taylor Kitsch as Gambit and I will always be sad that we never got a Gambit movie.
X men Origins wolverine is just one of those “turn your brain in order to ignore the headache storyline but is nonsensical fun” kinda movies.
I like the BvS arguement. There's no denying its a boring movie with some dope scenes and cool looking visuals. Calling it a masterpiece is cringeworthy.
Xmen Apocalypse was an insult. Specially to Oscar Isaac.
F4 2015 just makes me wanna puke everytime I see a clip or a still or that movie.
I don't care about what was said in this video or what anyone else says, BVS does not belong anywhere near this "list".
Bvs is hella underrated and I will stick with that till I die, sue me
Very interesting vid, thx! 🔝🔥👍🏻😀
great vid as usual coy, plus ive finally become a patron woo
My ratings for the movies on this list:
Elektra - 1.5/5
Bloodshot - 1.5/5
Spider-Man 3 - 4.5/5
Green Lantern - 2/5
Batman v Superman: Ultimate Edition - 5/5
Batman and Robin - 2.5/5 (for the entertainment)
Jonah Hex - 1/5
Catwoman - 1/5
Fant4stic - 1/5
X-Men: Apocalypse - 2/5
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - 1.5/5
Non-theatrical versions should not count on any list. It's not fair to see the reception to a film and then either pick new footage (JL) or reinsert deleted footage (BvS) to "fix" it, at least when including films on these kind of lists.
@@TheMiddleAgedKidVideos yeah exactly. Like the Ultimate Edition is just the director going "oh people complained about this? Let's fix that!"
@@AT32556 except that's not at all what happened. All of that material was shot for a reason. The ultimate edition is the director's cut of the original 4 hour assembly footage. That was the version screened to executives. It was a studio call to trim the film further to accommodate to a more audience friendly runntime. The film, by design, was very busy, so that proved detrimental in the end.
There is no "added stuff" to accommodate complains. It was a restoration. If the film really was reactionary, there would've been an alternate cut with a much lighter tone, a Luthor recast, among other stuff xd
3.7K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 You're welcome! Thanks! ☺️
Notes: I was expecting your choice of "Fantastic Four" to be the one made by Roger Corman. (I have yet to see it.)
Hmm. I think that I see your points! But for me, the sex appeal of the females is my higher priority, so I'm more forgiving about the stuff that you mentioned. 😁
Although I find "Jonah Hex" as a character concept to be quite annoying! If they want us to forgive his sins as a CSA soldier, take him out of that damn uniform! I remember when he was more like "Mad Max".
Andrew Garfield is my Spider-Man. I liked the TM trilogy, but when AG started quipping in TASM I was hooked. He gave me the weirdo kid I always thought SM is. His suit is also the main one I use in the 2018 Spider-Man game.
The weirdo creepy stalker?
Iam not saying you cant relate to him but honestly I don’t see how can you can considerer andrew spiderman a “ weirdo “ hell , one of the reasons why a lot of people didnt like him is because he never sold the nerdy kid side of the character like tobey did .
@@DanV900 It’s a common trope for male heroes to be a creepy stalker, and then rewarded for being so by getting the girl. SM is no different.
@@nightcrawler5696 Yeah, he is still a weirdo creepy stalker taking pictures of Gwen like that who then reveals his identity incredibly quickly to her where it’s not good. He plays the character like he is hungover at times where Chris Stuckmann did a great supercut of that in a newer review some years ago. In the comics, Peter has so many girlfriends and isn’t a weirdo. He is nerdy and awkward to start out though. There is a difference there. Him quipping where he was frankly a dick was terrible when it started. It was so over the top and the knives comment is eye rolling. It’s not Andrew Garfield’s fault where people complained that Tobey didn’t quip enough and then Andrew quipped too much. Like Jesus, he quips too much in ASM 2 with the initial chase resulting in more damage instead of just subduing Alexsei. It made him unlikable. Spectacular Spider-Man as a show nailed it. Andrew Garfield is obviously fantastic in No Way Home with his reprieve where he is an unbelievably great actor, but he didn’t get the best material in the ASM movies.
I agree with 9 of the 11. I love BVS, and I like X men Apocalypse. Green Lantern wasn't bad, but I won't die on a hill for it. Lol
The opening sequence of X-men Origins Wolverine was a better movie than the movie itself lol
I agree with everything u said about BvS Except the lex Luther thing. Because Jessie Eisenberg was not play Lex.... he played Alexander Luther. His son, which is stated in the movie when jessie Eisenberg mentions his father twice in the movie
He goes by Lex in the movie and his full first name is Alexander. It’s the same in the comics. His father is dead or at least out of the picture in the movie.
Mark 10:50. I don't want to risk the technical problems that I had sharing the previous list! But I needed to point out that he said, "neuter" instead of "spay" in reference to "Batgirl"! Traditionally, people say "spay" in reference to females. However, I read an article somewhere about how technically "neuter" should be used for both genders. So, does he not know the word "spay" or does he know that it should be "neuter"? 🤔
Lmaoo Greg with the sneak diss “jerry o Connell” 😂😂😂
bro your comments about synder/and the angry fans ( cuz of course there are plenty of level headed ones) 10000% accurately describes how i feel
I agree with you so much. Fantastic 4 has a strong first half and then that second half just kills the entire movie. I like Bloodshot, but it’s extremely basic. Eiza Gonzalez’s KT is the best part to me. BvS… Man, I’m so happy you said what you said, especially about the ultimate edition. That movie may have single-handedly ruined us getting Henry Cavill’s return as Superman. There are so many technical things I could talk about with that movie. Wonder Woman is the best part of it.
love the list. Coy once again...Thank you!!
I absolutely LOVE Batman and Robin for the absurd chaos that is happening. Its so bad its good 😂😂😂😂
Thanks for your continuing efforts to bring sanity to these fandoms 😎✌🏼😄
Honestly, thinking about it, we could have kept the symbiote suit in Spiderman 3, just make it less... cringe, and towards the end have him take it off before the final face-off after screwing with Eddie and everything, realizing what it was doing to him. Then make a venom focused Spider-man 4 where Eddie ends up with the symbiote.
I feel like Spiderman 3 and BvS (especially the UE) shouldn't be on this list. While they may have flaws that bring down the movie for some people, they are not near the worst CBMs. Like in BvS I love the political tensions that build between Lex, the senator, and the media; superman trying to cope with the guilt he felt for not being able to save everyone, yet still sacrificing himself for a world that hates him; and the beautiful redemption arc for Batman. I feel like "Most Disappointing CBMS" would be a more appropriate title for some on this list. At the end of the day, I respect your opinion and thanks for being so respectful about your takes.
The issue with BvS is that it is a fundamental misunderstanding of its title characters.
I turn on BvS, I don't feel like I'm watching a Batman or Superman movie, because neither interpretation resonates with the core values of each character; it isn't too bad with Superman, but the movie is a total assassination of Batman's nuance and turns him into a generic action movie hero while being kind of xenophobic. I see Synder's BvS and I don't see a battle of ideals between long time friends who don't really want to fight... which is how the story is supposed to go, what I instead see is a billionaire make a mech suit because he wants the alien guy to go back where he came from.
It just doesn't work, and its a shame because it wastes such a good casting in Affleck.
Can we get more videos of movies that disappointed you, Coy? It's really refreshing actually. Digging it.
I love how Greg yells out "good luck coy" in regards to BVS
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 should've been on the list over Spider-Man 3 because Spider-Man 3 has more elements that work. I want The Raimi And Webb Cuts Of Spider Man-3 And The Amazing Spider Man Films.
Andrew Garfield-Emma Stone chemistry somehow saved Amazing Spider-Man 2
@@AlexMason611 The only good part. Still a horrible film. Paul's Rhino LOL.
@@louisberry4403 none of the parts worked in Spider-Man 3 I can't take Emo Spidey seriously. We won't talk about the tiny Venom with no motivation whatever
@@AlexMason611 Sandman was great and his transformation to Sandman scene is one of the best Comic Book Movie scenes.

Damn I forgot all about Bloodshot!
Also saying Morbius (or Venom) *tried* to be 90s is giving them FAR too much credit imo. They're just that inept that they feel like they're a from a bygone era of lesser quality.
Also also yeah BvS is trash.
And I personally do like BvS a lot but I completely agree. This movie was wayyyy too soon. And they easily could’ve given us a Ben Affleck’s Batman film instead.
I'd like to see a Worlds Finest movie with Robert Pattinson and Brandon Routh. I said it.
Coy woke up and chose war today lol.
Well the plus side of Bloodshot bombing is we could maybe see Sam Heughan as Sabretooth🤷♂️ he's been my fancast ever since I saw him in Outlander
9:18 well I think it kinda goes both ways.
There will be toxic Snyder fans who insult people based on there opinions and crap on the mcu and stuff like that.
But then there are mcu fans who will insult people based on there opinions and blindly crap on Snyder’s trilogy.
So from my point of view (being a Snyder fanboy), I have disliked the mcu alot more over the years because of the mcu fans. Just like you might dislike bvs more because of the fans.
Honestly, not to invalidate your opinion, but I've seen more DC fans hate the Snyder films than MCU fans. And good chunk of it was disappointment with how the movies turned out.
Fanbases tend to get ugly because of handfuls of their more negative fans. That's sadly true for most if not all fanbases.
@@parkerboy795 yeah I get that, I think it just depends on what type of comment sections you go to I guess.
I think there are definitely more diehard synder fans than MCU ones, especially considering how the Flash scene from ZSJL won that Oscar thing. If there was a majority of toxic MCU fans then they would have voted for Endgame to win
@@AT32556 That definitely didn't help. But honestly, that reward was ridiculous in general. It didn't matter who won.
@@darricktv9857 The people who dislike Snyder’s films most are DC fans, not MCU fans. Come on now. That’s clear from comment sections and plenty of comic creators who are DC fans. Most Snyder fans aren’t DC fans anyways. Coy disliked BVS from the beginning and fans making you like something less is frankly weak on your part. If you enjoy something less because of its fans, that’s just embarrassing. Hardcore MCU fans aren’t as defensive honestly and didn’t rally around to vote for Snyder movies to win Oscars since they tend to have lives. No Way Home would have won over Army of the Dead easily along with the Endgame moment if they cared about it. They don’t. The way you know someone isn’t a DC fan and just a Snyder fan is hearing that person say Snyder made Superman relatable. That’s someone whose opinion has no value and it’s incredibly wrong.
I'm glad I ain't the only one who thinks BvS a trash movie.
If you're a type of person who would prefer liking a potentially good movie instead of not liking it, then you SHOULD watch Twin Perfect's 3 videos on BvS.
My main gripe with X-men Apocalypse (aside from the director) is the Scott/Alex thing where Scott talks about Alex like they grew up together but Alex was preventing WW3 before Scott was born, he was in Nam when Scott was in nappies.
That said I really love the final confrontation, it's the X-Men movies at their most comic-book-y and all the better for it, I'd say give it another chance Coy.
I like when Greg says to get out and Coy starts to move...the look on his face paired with, "I said it!"
I feel like the worst part of Origins: Wolverine is just not understanding the characters at all. Gambit's jumping off of rooftops and making cards float, Deadpool gets all the powers, I mean...why? Why do this?
And Apocalypse...yeah. He was always such a terrifying villain when he turned up in the Animated Series. I was so hyped to see him in a movie and then that happened. Such a letdown. Still rank it higher than Dark Phoenix, though, as I couldn't even finish that one out of boredom.
lmao love the set up for green lantern and totally agree with you on spider-man 3. that’s a good way to simply put it i do picture andrew when i picture peter and spider-man. even after the tobey movies i didn’t really view spider-man with a face under the mask i just didn’t connect as much to tobey as i did later to andrew. loving the video so far🔥

Great stuff. Keep it up Coy!
Simon Kinberg might not be a good writer

What the heck is Henry Cavill's SuperMan doing in the Thumbnail? I going to flip some tables!
Typing the m of Superman in caps should be a crime lol
I'll be flipping the other dam end of it.
Arnold’s Mr Freeze just loves some good PUNishment…..
you wanna talk about range Toby Kebbell in rocknrolla. not to mention the entire cast, Mark strong, Gerard Butler, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy Thandie Newton. it's so sad that we'll never get a sequel
I know Coy usually does superhero comics stuff but we NEED his Comics Corner Special Edition on the Netflix Sandman adaptation (Waiting for Reel Rejects to react to it too)
I agree with you on all of those movies
But!!!!
Spiderman 3
X men oreigns wolverine
Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice
Was a great movies man
The most underrated movies I ever seen
I guess any defending of BvS would make you a toxic fanboy or bots. Anyway, BvS is a great film.
Nah. It's just when people get vicious and or pretentious when defending it, which is sadly quite a lot of times.
When it comes to Worst you CAN'T put SM3 on the list, but when it comes to disappointment I agree.
Yeah even if you think it was bad there a lot of worse superhero movies out there like the elektra movie , the punisher movie or hell even tasm 2 .
I think X-men origins of Wolverine and Batman Vs Superman the theatrical cut are the worst superhero movies of all time
I personally enjoy X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Spider-Man 3 WAY more than the other movies on this list. I never saw Bloodshot, though. I completely forgot about that movie.
Same
Disagree about Batman & Robin. I think it is a wonderful sequel to the Adam West Batman series. And everyone points to Uma Thurman knowing what movie she is in, but not Arnold for some reason. He is doing exactly what he should be, ice puns and all.
Agreed! People criticize Arnold, but he is having the time of his life.
I honestly have a love and nostalgia for all of these movies bad or not. Grew up watching most of these older films, and we are incredibly blessed to have so much in the medium to consume. Without Modern Marvel I'd probably still be watching Daredevil or Fantastic Four. I remember how jarring it was when I saw the trailer for the Avengers. Now that marvel has made that the standard, these older films age worse and worse.
Some more I think are up there.
Justice League
Daredevil
X-men
Punisher
Suicide Squad
Ghost Rider
Superman Returns
Hulk 2003

X-men the last stand
I will never forget being SO pumped to see Suicide Squad... the trailer they released with Queen playing was incredible... and then I left the theater confused and disappointed lol
@@Kimbrell That has to be up there with one of the worse. The watching experience was agonizing, the addition of the Joker was terrible, the visuals were dull, and the characters were all boring. The cast and trailers gave me so much hope for a mediocre ass movie. Suicide Squad 2021 was a masterpiece tho, rip Rick Flag.
I liked X-men Apocalypse quite a bit, but just seeing James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender playing Professor X and Magneto is making me liking the movie immediately. Especially the death scene of Magneto's wife really made it move it to the positive side.
I have the same with X-men Origins Wolverine. That movie almost worked for me just because of the pure charismatic power of Hugh Jackmann as Wolverine. It didn't even matter in what kind of movie he was in. Hugh as Wolverine just makes a movie almost good automatically.
Really? The arrow with the way that guy let go of it with the necessary strength NEVER would have killed the wife and daughter. It is impossible unless he had superhuman strength. Fassbender sold the heck out of it though.
@@DanV900 Yes and just Fassbenders work won me over completely and made me like the movie from that point onwards
@@joeriandroog1925 The way his family died is not convincing at all and you have to disregard logic. He literally just is stoic as Magneto in the majority of the third act killing a ton of people with no repercussions while later fighting Apocalypse. The movie’s second half isn’t good.
@@DanV900 I am not saying it's a great movie, but the first half of the movie is good enough for me to save the second half. I would give it a 5.5 out of 10. So barely fresh.
@@joeriandroog1925 A fresh rating for Rotten Tomatoes is 6/10 so that’s not hitting that fresh rating. 5.5/10 also is certainly mediocre.
This is the beginning of the "Morbus was as Masterpiece Actually" subplot that we will all be forced to live through in the coming decade
Coy do a Top 10 underrated superhero movies
I love what Coy's saying about Snyder's movies.
In BVS Bruce’s story begins as a boy who falls into a pit, believing the lie that the bats allowed him to ascend back into the light, when in reality, they plunged him further into the darkness.
In ZS Justice League,
Bruce’s story ends with Batman dangling over a pit by one hand, holding his grappling gun in the other,
While Superman holds out his hand to help him up.
There’s a long moment where Batman is just hanging there,
And It isn’t until Bruce drops the gun into that pit, that he’s able to take Clark’s hand, and finally be pulled into the light.
In between those points, we’re seeing a Bruce Wayne, older than we’ve ever met him before, watching as the threats become stronger and faster as he becomes slower and weaker.
He’s spent the years where he was supposed to be retired, fighting harder, because his apprentice, Robin, was killed before he could take his place.
And now there’s invincible aliens coming down and destroying cities.
Bruce believes the only way to stay on top, is to remove these threats entirely, even if Alfred, and the public views him as a monster, who’s far from the hero they once knew.
It takes being at Superman’s throat, about to kill him, and seeing a god, reduced to a boy begging for his mother’s life, that makes Batman realize he himself is no longer that boy,
but instead the man holding the gun, about to destroy a family.
Bruce realizes what he’s done, and that he
owes it to the world to make sure no one falls into the same darkness he did.

AVI ARAD is now gonna ruin BORDERLANDS and KRAVEN THE HUNTER
The same way he ruined SPIDERMAN 3 and MORBIUS
"aye mr white we gotta rank these comic movies biaa"
I am flabbergasted you think Elektra is better than BvS. That’s insane to me. Also wheres Morbius, really thought that would be on here.
........... It's even worse when Coy says he isn't mad he is disappointed haha.
I blame AVI ARAD for destroying Sam Raimi's ambition
He forced the inclusion of VENOM just so he could sell more toys
While I enjoyed Elektra, I agree that it could have been better. The biggest mistake with Spider-man 3 was retconning the murder of Uncle Ben and having Sandman be the one who was actually responsible while the guy that shot him just be a lacky. Sony should have capitalized on their set up for Lizard but they didn't. GL wasn't that bad, it was just a bad story and the stupid choice to combine two villains into one which made no sense. BvS wasn't bad at all. Batman didn't murder people, he caused chain reactions that may or may not have resulted in fatalities. Batman has always carried a grappel gun and the "gun" he had in BvS was just a bigger version of that. I never got why the "Martha" thing was such an issue. Jerry O' Connell was never Robin, it was CHRIS O' DONNEL. Why did the bat nips bother people so much? Yes, there were a lot of bad choices made with B&R but it's still a pretty decent movie overall that could have been much better. It also was going to set up a Nightwing origin or movie if it hadn't failed. Catwoman was god awful and it had nothing to do with Batman whatsoever. Fantastic Four(2015) wasn't that bad either, minus the design of Dr Doom. X-men Apocalypse was pretty good I thought? Oscar looked badass and the story was pretty good. What was so bad about X-men Origins? It was fantastic and we don't know that Reynolds' character was ACTUALLY the same Wade Wilson that was supposed to become Deadpool. He was Weapon 11 as Stryker called him.
I can understand why people don't like BvS, but I don't think it should make anyone's top 10 worst list because it's easily better than all the other movies on that list. It easily has the best cinematography out of the movies listed. Unlike the other movies, it actually asks the audience philosophical questions. It gave the characters internal conflict to deal with instead of a typical, "I'm a good guy so I fight bad guys". And it also has the best action out of all the movies listed. The only reason I can see it being in the top 10 worst is because expectations were so high. But people focus so much on what this movie did wrong, they completely neglect the things this movie did right.
Another fun episode, thanks Coy.
Good list, but they're all recent movies... There are many many stinkers in the past worse than just about anything on this list. For example, Captain America (1990) - Latex ears on the mask? Italian Red Skull? Plus there have been plenty of terrible made-for-TV stinkers that make Catwoman look like Citizen Kane - the Justice League pilot movie with the "Friends" dynamic for example, or the Dr. Strange TV movie where Dr. Strange rocks a wafro....
Coy, great list. You know your shit. Like your reasons and what you have to say. Keep it coming sir.
Not liking BvS shouldn't be a hot take, both versions are offensively unenjoyable- love you Coy
You forgot to mention Blade: Trinity, The Hellboy reboot movie, The Spirit, Bulletproof Monk, Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Judge Dredd with Stalone, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Steel, Son of The Mask and Superman 4: The Quest for Peace.
Ghostrider and Spider-Man 3 are great!
You consider Ghost Rider great? Lol
@@armand531 yep! definitely than multiverse of madnesses! Better than Ironman 2 and 3!
