While that does conflict in some ways, there are car makers that have been providing premium features at a lower cost. Not everyone does premium at a premium. Look at Mazda, Kia, and Hyundai. A lot for a little. Plus, Mazda interiors are premium yet simple. So it is not fully out of the realm to expect it.

We have an Envista in the preferred trim. The 1.2 L 3 cylinder does have a turbo that kicks in low in the RPM range. That makes it just perfect for quick right turn merges on city streets. It's not super fast for merging onto the highway, but, then again, that's why on ramps are longer.
This is the Chevy Trax, but better looking. Inside and out. If I were looking for a small CUV that started at 25k and I didn't care about speed? I'd buy one of these and pay it off with Uber rides.

With all due respect when you say on throttle and you jam, the gas pedal against the floor and then comment that the car doesn’t have enough power makes me scratch my head as to how you drive. I takeoff from a stop with a reasonable amount of acceleration, not expecting to squawk the tires or leap forward like a rocket ship. Also regarding fuel economy, I’m not sure why Buick has it set at 32 miles per gallon highway but I just took a trip to Mexico and back with this vehicle from Phoenix and it was about 250 miles each way, miles per gallon calculation on the dashboard that I average 41.8 miles to the gallon, which is pretty darn good. Granted this was pretty much all flat roads and I only had one other person in the car with me, but even with that the MPG on this vehicle is excellent in my opinion and the car is more than adequate for the price, how it looks, and what it offers. I guess maybe the comedy of how you do your auto reviews falls in line with how you drove this car.
Love the look of the car. The interior also seems nicely laid out. The 1.2L Turbo is a deal breaker. And no Hybrid option. I found out that you can get a sunroof, so that is a plus. The price is also a plus, but it is lacking so many features/options. Power passenger seat? Seat memory? Premium sound system? The website provides very little info. You can option a power moonroof for $800. Still, this car could be so great. But the engine is a dealbreaker. The bezel on the infotainment is RIDICULOUS
Seems like the infotainment bezel was a cost-saving measure, same as with the Encore GX. It looks like it's the same dash that is in the Envision and Enclave just with smaller screens so they didn't have to manufacture multiple different dashes.
Have a 2024 Envista Avenir and am quite pleased with it. The car feels much pricier than it is. Like he says in video, won't win any races, but mpg is decent and the ride is excellent. For an Avenir it doesn't really make me feel likes it's an Avenir trim. It would be cool to see more of aviation or nautical theme in the interior. This car has potential to compete with the Mazda CX-30 in a few years.
As a Toyota buyer for the last 20 years, I just got tired of them and the dealers. I wanted a Corolla Cross, but was treated like dirt at the dealers. They could care less about you wanting to buy a car from them. I bought a preferred with all the options (lift gate, safety features, power seat, heated wheel seats) $26400. To get that in the Cross would be another 6 grand. This is a great car. Mid 30s or higher on the MPG. I never owned a turbo, but this car is way quieter than the Cross. I may never go back to Toyota if this thing holds up. The way I look at it, is I paid 6k less for a car that is better equipped and who care about a couple grand in trade in value when you already saved 6k. Please test drive one, before you take it off your list of cars to look at.

Thanks for the review! We live in Florida, currently have two vehicles with sunroofs, and really never use them as it is typically too hot. Curious what others in Florida think, as we would rather have features such as powered passenger front seat and driver side "memory" powered seats instead. I do want to test drive an Envista soon.
I won't buy a 3 cyl engine in any car. I really like the styling, though. I would love to see GM revisit Buick's history and revive its affordable luxury. My second car is my dad's pushrod V6 Le Sabre, and it still drives great! What a fantastic engine!
Nice enough but it shouldn't have any empty switches (indicating not included options) as the Avenir is top trim and should have all the bells and whistles (options) included in that trim for that price !

I am convinced GM is making a big profit on this vehicle, because $30 k is way too much. 3 cyl. Hard plastics, and no moon roof? Plus when Joe was driving I could clearly hear the wine from the engine when you were accelerating, and you were not flooring it(I don't think) It looks decent on the outside though.
Like what GM is doing with this and the Trax. Affordable subcom SUV. Adding bang for the buck. Do I like the engine HELL NO but for what it is I’m good with the 3 cylinder.

I wish car reviewers would stop complaining about design features that don’t function. Sometimes something can exist solely for the sake of design. That’s ok. This is the second cheapest vehicle GM sells. Some of you act like you are reviewing an expensive vehicle. The industry ATP is $50k. This a car that fully loaded comes in $15k+ less than that. Let designers and customers have a little fun.
Uh it's a crossover not a sedan. That might be the reason. Also. One is a luxury brand while the other isn't. Last but not least. Crossover normally weigh more than sedan thus impacting fuel economy.

It looks nice but it’s not a good value at 30k with only FWD and that tiny 1.2 L 3 cylinder turbo with a wet timing belt. It will be lucky to make it to 100k miles. I paid $29k for my Mazda CX-30 Carbon edition, 2.5 L n/a 4 cylinder 191 hp., standard AWD, red real leather interior, sunroof and gets almost the same fuel mileage 26/33/29 all for $1,000 less. That Buick should be $22-23K tops.
I'm sorry, this is NOT an "SUV" nor is it a "crossover". I don't care about Buick's "marketing" department or their feelings. This is a front wheel drive hatchback. A CHEAP FWD hatchback. I like it very much but ...... excuse my rant. Carry on, Guiseppe.

Will a golf bag fit back there with the back row up? Need to know im a golfer😂.
The 2024 has a sunroof. Are they doing without a sunroof for the 2025?
I REALLY wanted this until I found out it had less horsepower than my little Mazda sedan with an extra 1000lbs and an extra 4 seconds 0-60. you can throw all the features at me but the inability to hit the gas and pass a hazard on the highway is the breaking point.
Not bad looking SUV .
Hahaha McDonald’s-here I go! Can’t go wrong with the fries with some sweet and sour or bar b q and throw in a Big Mac hahaha you are the best brother
The oil lubricated timing belt just doesn't sit right with me
Buick is being clobbered by Toyota's hybrid lineup. A decent design; the Koreans are doing such great work.
FYI: Toyota is a Japanese brand
Don’t see this engine making it anywhere close to 150,000+ miles.
1994, Las Vegas. The #2 regular size was $3.20 with tax. #highschool
Like what GM is doing with this and the Trax. Affordable subcom SUV. Adding bang for the buck. Do I like the engine HELL NO but for what it is I’m good with the 3 cylinder.
I'm interested in the Buick Envista, but I would only lease this vehicle.
Great VID- New car buys, just bough one ,Envista- Avenir .-. White on black - it DOES have moon roof . need to add convince package #1 to get that plus premium system and moonroof heated seats an wheels Summary = if it has roof it has Heated seats , leather, heated wheel aswell - BUT to get power gate and wireless charge are packet #2 - -Total (2 trim pack total and 1 safety and 1 convince pack) you can stack all -it start at 22-23 so its perfect - I m not looking for leather or upset about plastic - 80% of the world is plastic - - if 400 + it would be different . tis is a great mid - to low price car - again - "it Does has a sunroof option "
My 8 year old Accord V6 gets 33 on the hwy, how does this brand new 3 banger shitbox get less?🤣🤣🤣
Uh it's a crossover not a sedan. That might be the reason. Also. One is a luxury brand while the other isn't. Last but not least. Crossover normally weigh more than sedan thus impacting fuel economy.
@@vaughn-chemoody3340 Buick is not luxury, Cadillac is. Buick is meant as a step up from Chevy
@@Aex3f4 very good to know. Thank you for that tidbit. However Buick is still listed as a luxury brand even though it's a step down
@@vaughn-chemoody3340 this thing isn't that heavy, and hard plastic on the top of the doors with a three cylinder engine isn't luxury🤣 My Accord Touring is way more premium than this joke.
@@cmdebateAnd it’s at least $10,000 more. This starts at $22,000 dollars, and the most expensive is $30,000. An Accord Touring is $40,000 starting.
It actually doesn't look bad at all, I just wish GM would do away with the odd headlight and tail lights... and this Envista with its lower tail lights.. and they're not even LED, why do it like this? Just doesn't look right in my opinion.
My 2025 Buick Envista dash keeps cutting off. They need to fix the issues.
This dude was craving some McDonalds.
Comes with sunroof, just wish they had at least a 4 cylinder turbo option.
Actually, you can get a sunroof unless GM deleted that feature.
$ 30k this car must be the cheapest luxury SUV of the world, this car sells to 100% like hot cakes in the USA 👍👍👍
Spot on. On what planet this is an suv??
I still dont understand how the envista is the “smallest” its dimensions are larger than the encore. Except one dimension, height
You didn’t zonk the gloss black on the center console.
🤔 Hmm, why does the "New" Acura concept look strangely familiar to this? I'm not a fan of the new ZDX via GM but if Acura improves on this for their next EV I could be sold!
