Approximately three years ahead of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s May 2015 release, Polish game developer CD Projekt RED announced plans to develop a Triple-A project based on Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk pen-and-paper RPG. Studio Co-Founder Marcin Iwiński promised the then-unnamed game would boast all the “hallmarks” of The Witcher series, its design molded with “mature and demanding players” in mind. The development team and Pondsmith expressed their confidence in the title’s ability to set a “new standard” for futuristic role-playing games, with “high production values” serving as the most significant goal. No one could have anticipated how short the resulting product would fall from expectations.
After a lengthy period of silence, the marketing blitz for Cyberpunk 2077 got off to an incredible start in June 2018, courtesy of an E3 presentation that would fuel years of hype and millions of pre-order purchases. Not even multiple delays and an eventually admitted lack of transparency could curtail interest, not when the neon-drenched streets of Night City and a Keanu Reeves-starring narrative seemed so enticing.
Upon launch, however, the glitz and glamor faded, obscured by missing textures, game-breaking performance issues, and a litany of other glitches that ruined the experience for players on consoles and high-end PCs. Those who spent eight years awaiting Cyberpunk 2077 were gifted a skeleton of CD Projekt RED’s vision, one so marred by mismanagement that the company’s hard-fought reputation seemingly plummeted overnight. Should the team find a way to right its myriad wrongs, many will still remember this once ambitious endeavor for having one of the most disastrous launches in video game history.
This is the tragedy of Cyberpunk 2077.

Hype is only a phenomenon, quality is a legacy.
And mods are eternal!
This; absolutely this. I made this exact statement in my own comment, but was less eloquent and more verbose.
Either can cause issues, but when the two come together, it almost always causes problems.
100 percent based 👍 you are
@@alexandrep4913 It has a legacy of being a low quality game!
damn that deep
The fact that the narrator actually makes an effort to pronounce the names of the staff correctly is enough to know how much care went into this analysis alone.
Out of all the youtubers who’ve made it their job to cover anything to do with this game and CDPR, it’s insane how unwilling those people are to go the extra mile to learn how to pronounce polish names correctly.
Yet still eberybody pronounce cd project, not projekt like it shoul be ;) (should sound like proyeckt)
He does a great job with Japanese devs too.
Learning how to pronounce foreign names should be basic human decency. No one likes to see their name butchered because someone didn't care to learn properly.
@@MCKZD Literally all 3 things you just typed sound the same.
@@barateza16 Everyone gets my name wrong, I don't care at all.
I still love the fact that it's 100% canon that Ciri lived in the Cyberpunk dimension for years.
Technically its not canon at all, because its not part of the Witcher IP. But we know what’s up anyway lol
@@CaptainBlaine well yeah it's CDPR Witcher canon, not real Witcher canon. It's funny to think that sometime in the 80s, Mike Pondsmith was working on his tabletop game, while all the way in Poland, Sapkowski was writing Witcher, not knowing of each other's existence, and that 40 years later their works would converge in a weird way.
I never blame developers about these kinds of disaster stories.
They're merely cogs in the machine. It's always the higher ups that fuck things up
pretty much what happened devs said do not release the game it's not ready, higher ups in corporate said release it anyway put out patches later due to the unacceptable threats they got from consumers on top of investors getting worried about the delays, if investors and consumers had just managed themselves and behaved letting the devs do what they knew needed to be done the whole thing could have been avoided, ironic since CP2077 is pretty much a tale on why corporate power is dangerous and the studio that made it fell victim to having their hands forced by corporate power.
Consumers are the worst sometimes. Have some fucking patience. If a game gets delayed deal with it.
I'm mixed... devs don't deserve the blame, but someone also could have whistle blown or leaked the modern state of the game. I think they were drinking just as much kool-aid as we were in thinking that it would be done in time.
@@nicholascowling7052 No, that's very uncharitable towards the devs. First, the devs almost certainly know that accomplishing a gigantic game for several platforms would not be easy but they have no say in it and I don't know if you're aware but whistle-blowers aren't liked or welcomed just about anywhere. Whistle-blowing is a double edged sword for the person and chances are you'll be losing more than the company or persons you're blowing the whistle on. There's no body willing to lose their job and run the risk of ruining their entire career in that field and even run the risk of litigation. The devs did their job with the time frames and tools at their disposal. I wholly believe the only people to blame here are the execs who only have eyes for profits and are blinded to everything else. Hell, I would even put more blame on us, the consumers, for exacerbating the unrealistic expectations and irresponsibly throwing money at the pre order scheme before I put blame on the devs.
Yeah, I place the blame squarely on executives/ marketing. Buried beneath the bugs and performance problems was/ is a great game and with all the patching I feel like it's in a good place right now (but they need to keep going to make this game into what it deserves to be). I personally waited til 1.5 to play (after being disappointed with how the launch went/ was received) and I fell in love with the game. Delaying the game til this year and completely dropping the old-ass and subpar hardware of PS4/ XbOne would have made a huge difference. Hopefully they learned a lesson from this experience though because I'm not sure the company could handle or survive another botch of this magnitude, not to mention all the good will they had earned with the Witcher series being basically flushed down the toilet.
I feel I got into this game at the perfect time: once it was fixed. I fell absolutely in love with the world and its characters and have sunk a LOT of time into it
Same here. It just breaks my heart thinking how perfect this game could have been if CDPR slapped shitty managers at the right time.
Shit like that always happens because of morons in suits listening to money and investors instead of engineers.
I agree. I am playing it on my PS4 Pro and can still see many infuriating bugs, but I love Night City and its stories. It is kind of sad because you can clearly see glimpses of what this game could have been if the suits had not decided to do what they did. It is clear the devs and the writers loved this project.
Nah. You missed out on the memes. It was fun to shit on, but then CD Project Red got their act together and pulled a No Mans Sky. We trolled them to do better, and it worked.
Fr, I just started playing it and I'm loving it so far, I got it as a christmas gift when it came out but I didn't have the computer for it and very recently bought a new computer which can play it at max graphics, and i'm honestly glad I wasn't able to play it until now.
Same here. I just started it on Christmas Eve and I'm closing in on 90 hours. It's absolutely fantastic. I'm completely in love with this game despite its history and lingering flaws. I'm still knocking out side content. One final story mission left and I'm hesitant to start it because I'll be a bit sad saying goodbye to this amazingly realized and engrossing world. I held off on playing this game back in 2020 because of all the reported glitches and bugs. Now I'm glad I picked 2 years later to experience this incredible adventure. I can't get enough of it. This game is a remarkable achievement and I always felt there was a great game buried under technical issues.

Why is EVERYONE claiming Cyberpunk 2077 is what they initially promised now? It still has no car customisation, no extra story paths and a ton more- yet suddenly a Netflix anime comes out and everyone forgets that they promised you could become part of Trauma Team...
Absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah bro people are easy to forgive
Thank you dude! This game is still not what they advertised it would be

@@Reese_Calloway this is honestly the truth. People have been fooled to being damn near soldiers for the products they purchase. It’s almost like they are defending themselves.
what did we learn?
if your game bombs so hard it almost bankrups you
make an anime with a cute loli
And some female producer at CDPR wanted the "loli" removed. My expectations of CDPR are in the damn gutter.
Even though I appreciate the efforts to improve the in-game experience from CDPR personally, I wouldn't say it is in the same level as the No Man's Sky "redemption arc", because that game ended up getting all promised features and mechanics that were hyped such as multiplayer and even more, but Cyberpunk 2077 is now at least in a more bearable state that would allow to us to enjoy the story especially if you get the game on clearance.
just wait
Feature promised and stuff like that, were cut off, probably because Quantum Labs had bug quotas.
This lead to an onslaught of content, to hold of bugs that probably wouldn't be much of problem, if the scrap content didn't generated more.
CDPR still were wrong, but theres others guilty.
I believe now, that the updates adding some of this features, are precisly the cut content, some of this were actually found and fixed by modders.
no mans sky is only on another level because they implemented all the promised features and more over the last 6 years. CP77 is incomparable simple because its been out less than 2
@@efxnews4776 as a lead developer these insights are very valuable to me. I've too often seen disconnect between QA and Product teams leading to such issues. The QA lead should know the product as good as the Product manager themselves. Not sure how the game industry handles this
Yeah i really don't understand why everyone is talking about Cyberpunks "redemption". It's pretty much the same game it was on release. It just works better now. They haven't changed anything about it really.
Also.
Never forget that cdpr threw their QA dept, the most underpaid depart there, under the bus to save the CEO's reputation.
Evil bastards.
Umm... Isn't that what will always happen? Not an excuse but you said like this was the 'first time ever'. Vice versa, i have never heard of an instance where company would throw the CEO to save the QA dept under the bus. Not ok but just saying that how it always goes.
@@alaric_I think the core of the lies and betrayal was that CD project red fed into its own propaganda by trying to act like that. They were the not EA and activisions of the world that there was somehow different when this told the completely different story.
One last thing to note as well is that CDPR has released REDMod which are the modding tools needed for the game, unless I missed it I don't think you mentioned it? Modding has also helped a lot to put new life into this game as it enabled a lot of other fixes and or changes that affect any playthrough. And with REDMod that should go better or be easier
purchased it on release, played 2 hours and left it. Returned after edgerunners, added a mod package from nexus with about 200 mods, most of them bug fixes and quality of life upgrades. 25 hours in, only had one crash, surprisingly very stable. Having a blast so far. Mods are a must.

the absolute balls on these "investors" to try and sue CDPR for releasing the game early even though it's ALWAYS these people pushing for the games to be released early so their stocks earn them more money. it's good that the investors lost money, they all deserve bankruptcy
Yeah Investors really ruin allot of games.
Yeah no, im sorry you don't get to be blame free for releasing a garbage game.....The investors didn't make them cut out almost all of their promised game mechanics, the investors didn't tell them to spend a decade developing the game. If you can't make a game in 10 years, the problem is YOU the developer not the investors...
Its so hilarious when the "anti-corporate" people who LMFAO try to blame everything on the people who pay the money to fund the game, have to grind the hell out of the devs dicks, never once thinking its incompetence at making a genre of game you have never made before or having to high of dreams for your level of work experience.....LMFAO it would be hilarious if the investors went bankrupt, then the imbeciles who cry constantly because they live in fairy fantasyland would have to find a new hobby, games don't make themselves
Game companies should remain private. When they become public and have to worry about the stock market and investors, that's when a lot more of problems arise.
@@r.daneel.90 Exactly.
Lost money? I've read the game was a huge commercial success, even with the refunds. How did they lose money?
Remember when Cyberpunk was hyped as "Having No DLC, everyone gets the full game"? Funny how that works...
The games disastrous launch lies with Marcin Iwiński and upper leadership giving devs impossible deadlines to meet. Marcin also lied and was deceitful on how well the game performed and they also refused to give out review copies.
Or pushing stupid shit like Keanu in the story way to late in development, thus fucking up the project so bad they had to rewrite the whole story and change the game.
I bought and played Cyberpunk on launch on PC, and while I thoroughly enjoyed it, I definitely felt like something was missing. Playing it again now (with mods) truly unleashed the vision of what the game should’ve been at launch. I for one welcome Phantom Liberty with open arms in 2023 although I do hope some more patches and free dlc get deployed before then…
Yes most definitely. I just got back on the game and it plays so much better than it used to. I’m loving every moment and I can’t wait for the dlc. They definitely need a couple more big patches to get rid of as many bugs as possible and add more content. If they do that I’ll be hooked on this game for years.
What's different about the game? The bug never bothered me, but the terrible AI, tedious looting and inventory management, lackluster story, and lifeless open world are what kept me from enjoying it. Has any of that been improved significantly? Or is it just less buggy?
@@thedopeson I played about 8 hours of the game at launch until I just couldn't deal with it anymore. The bugs were really bad, yes, but, just like you, my main gripes were with fundemental gameplay mechanics. I tried it again a few days ago. I'm only about 3-4 hours in on this new playthrough, and it's definitely less buggy. Gameplay wise it's still... awkward so far and I don't feel that the gripes we seem to both have had with it at launch are improved on that much. But I'm still only a few hours in, so it wouldn't be entirely fair of me to write it off just yet - I hope I'll get some time to play a few more hours of it this weekend. I'm not too optimistic so far though.

That was some lovecraftian cyberpunk stuff.
The peralez quest was wicked, learning about the mind control and secret society aspect was so cool. Sad that nothing came of it and the concept dropped off after those couple missions
I really liked that mission too. I always thought it was bugged for me, as it seemed the story just cut off and never concluded. I got to the stage where I informed the husband, he got angry and...I never heard from him again.
For the rest of the game I was waiting for a call that never came from him/his wife, which would trigger the final chapter of the side quest.

Sinnerman. Thats all I gotta say.
I mean, as somebody who went through the launch in the worst way possible on base ps4, the game is in a much better state. It's still NOWHERE near the game they promised at this point. The RPG aspects are very minimal, the choices feel unimportant, they never added vehicle customization, the vehicles still handle like shit, and there's STILL graphical bugs to this day. Even after the changes coming in the patch with the DLC these promises still remain unfulfilled and they're dropping support for the game after the DLC so it's never gonna be the game we were promised.

This game shouldve come out at minimum 5 years after it did.
It's 2022 and it's still no where close to what we were promised at E3, it's not even the fault of the developers as corporate pushed the game out waaaaaaaay to early.
It's a good game in its current state, better than many other AAA titles, the only company which could deliver on those E3 promises is Rockstar (or at least Rockstar before Dan Houser left the company), nobody else could, it doesn't have to be fully promised game to be good.
@@kdscool1536 Let's not over rate Rockstar like they're the Jesus of video game companies, they make their own little fuck ups as was seen with those gta remasters which were absolutely terrible.
Cd Projekt red is good at making video games considering they made the Witcher 3 which is one of the best rpgs ever made. If corporate allowed the game to be worked on for another half decade I have no doubts it would've been a very good game.
The issue with 2077 was that it was hyped up with all the promises we were given along side it, promises that probably would not have happened regardless as if they did it would've made Cyberpunk one of the most in depth and "full" games ever made, that just wasn't happening for old Gen consoles or maybe even new ones.
Considering they just announced a sequel to 2077 then I'd assume this game is just dead in the water, since it's finally in a playable state I'm assuming they're going to just move on from this game and devote all attention to the sequel and Witcher 4
@@gibbygibbstein7858 GTA remasters weren't developed by Rockstar, so I wouldn't say it's their fuck up. But only Rockstar can do what they do with their big in-house titles.
Cyberpunk is getting a big expansion early 2023 along with another big update of the main game, so it's not "dead in the water" either.
Do you remember Mafia 2? It was also overpromised and underdelivered title with tons of cut content and also pushed too early by its publisher. I had very little bugs throughout my gameplay and I never crash because I have a good pc. However, the story was mediocre at best and wasn't really memorable to me. The side quests were more interesting than the main quest at times and that's kind of a bad thing, because a good story should have good side quests as well and be balanced like the old assassin's Creed. On top of that, some of the models didn't really look spectacular and looked old and basic.
The anime show edge runners was phenomenal, visually and well written. If only this game were like that.
The game is still a buggy, glitchy mess, the main storyline falls apart once you get Johnny stuck in your head , and makes me hate all the characters involved, and every person giving out missions to you.
And the games AI and scripting is still worse than GTA 4 from over 15 years ago.
It was a $79.99 RTX demo.
Yep. The scripted vehicle sequences are horrendous. I was doing the mission where you meet Takemura to speak with Oda. I parked my car in the path that Oda drives when he arrives. @@youdonegoofed I Always Thought demos were taken from small finished parts of a game. it was not until I watched Rising Kratos that I saw that they Build a separate game which wastes time and resources. Gameplay should only be shown once the game is finished.
The demos were actually part of the main build of Cyberpunk 2077 and completely playable
Having Gabriel Amatangelo as lead director for Phantom Liberty, was a tremendous blessing. So glad to know he's also on project Orion too. The mans got so much enthusiasm to create a great experience with infectious positivity and the chops to pull it off.
This was an excellent video. Everything right down to the point with no unnecessary incendiary stuff.
I played Cyberpunk for the first time this year and it immediately became one of my favorite games of all time.
Night City just feels alive in a way that no other open world I've seen has achieved. I'm glad I waited until the game was fixed to experience it.
I'm one of the rare people who enjoyed Cyberpunk 2077 at launch, even with issues.
But I'm so happy it got patched and the Edge runner anime got more people to give it another chance.
Cyberpunk has 76% positive reviews on Steam. Over 400k positive reviews on Steam. And 100k negative. Yes you are rare
CDPR underdelivered their product and took YEARS to even begin cleaning their mess, and people are forgiving them because they did the bare minimum and released an anime. We deserve the crapsack industry that we have.
Exactly. Hyped a game, didn't even remotely deliver on it, and 2 years later they made if functional for most of the platforms it was released on.
Yeah, an incredibly undeserved come back. This game is still barely playable on half the consoles it launched on and they took full payment for.
I agree with this. Worse, I think the success of the game only proves that CDPR was justified in doing what they did. Bleh.
Well as a fan of the game, from day one.I finished it for the first time when 1.3 came out.
Yes the game is not what it was promised to be,probably it will never be.Yes it launched in a bad state,i was playing on pc luckily and didnt have the horrifying console experience.
The one thing i have to say as of now is if you play it for what it is at least for me its a damn great game(great characters, phenomenal voice acting, absolutely sick art direction, satisfactory and fun fps combat with lots of choices as to how to approach the action, great story).
I think cdpr has been punished enough and thats my personal opinion(lawsuits,pr disaster and its own stock has drop to a quarter of its highest value). So yes if you dont like it i respect that its your opinion.
I know damn well im having blast in my second playthrough and there will be definately a third one when the expansion and the game of the year edition come out when its all said and done.
Hopefully on a new beefy pc in order to experience it in all its glory.
Have fun with whatever games you play and i wish you all the best.
@@dawnbylaw Thanks for the cordial response. Yes, PC launch seemed to be a bit better, and I agree, I have watched a few playthrough parts and the stories look interesting. (Though nothing like the pre-release videos they did.) :(
I do agree they have been punished enough but sadly if not from them, we'll see more of this from other publishers. I would be interested in their next Witcher game if they make one, but would definitely wait and see what happens with it.
Glad to hear you are still enjoying the game and the initial problems didn't get you too down. Cheers!
I'll never get tired of saying that this is one of the best UA-cam channels around.
Agreed! Although, i cannot distinguish if the narrator is a really good bot or a actual human being??
@@MrSmokincodz HAHAHAHA 🤣 That is the exact thing i was thinking about the last 2 or 3 years. Is he a state of the art voice AI... or just some monotoon human being?
They really did PS4/XB1 owners dirty. Really dirty. They should never think of releasing CP77 anywhere near full price. Half price is too much. I got it at 75% off and parts of me are still salty enough to think I overpaid.
1 - CP77 was initially developed for PS4/XB1 generation in mind. They abandoned it halfway through but neglected to actually tell PS4/XB1 owners.
2 - Neglected to tell us? They fucking lied to us telling us that the game "ran surprisingly well" on last gen when they knew full fucking well it didn't.
3 - TO THIS DAY there are a lot of cool things in the game that's still not available on the Last Gen versions because of their fucking "Last Gen is hard" excuse. They may be little things, like the gecko egg you get from Arasaka tower will never hatch on PS4/XB1 because V's apartment will never get that little net you can hatch it in, but this is an RPG. The little stuff matters.
4 - And now only PS4/XB1 owners WONT be able to expand the story with the DLC. In a way I'm glad they took this decision out of my hands.
I strongly suggest anyone who's not a PC player think thrice before purchasing any CDPR game again. Yeah, PS5 might be current gen now, but it'll be last gen someday, and if CDPR abandoned a game they developed for current game and lied about it once, they can do it again. No honestly fuck CDPR. Their only good choice was Edgerunners but unfortunately for them I think people will eventually figure out that it's not a good showcase for CP77 but what CP77 could've been if they stuck more to the whole RPGness of it all.
For fucks sake, centering the entire game around Johnny Silverhand when his memory of crucial events can't even be trusted. The whole bombing of Arasaka tower flashback was 90% bullshit according to the actual lore of CP20. But if you're not a tabletop player or if you didn't watch a ton of lore videos, you'd never know. They derailed the original rpg-rich story of the game for a game centering around a character whose own recollection of the lore is tenuous at best just cuz they got Keanu Reeves to play him...
Guess I can't blame them. Keannu is awesome tho.
Part of the problem was the hype. Before the game even came out, my brother was saying it's the best game ever made. No, you can't say things like that. Peoples hopes and expectations were unrealistically high.
CD Project did not help that.
@@John-996 yeah cdpr just kept adding fuel to the fire when they were marketing cyberpunk
@@mobya80 Yes But If you Look At marking for Witcher 3. Or Look at Rockstars Marketing for Games like RDR1, LA Noire, Maxpayne 3, GTA5 and RDR2 all these tell you what the games are what the main focus and goal of the games are. They do this without over selling the game. Not like Todd Howard 16 times the detail. I was hyped for Cyberpunk ,but after replaying witcher 3 I saw quite flaws. I Set my expectations lower After this. But Marketing needs to get the right Mix of hype but not hype to the point its to good to be true.
@@mobya80
Most people don't complete their games. They aren't going to play long enough to collect a damn thing and whine about any generic template. They pay a lot of money for these shinny new toys then toss them aside.
Hype and marketing sell the games, not the actual quality.
The psychotic toxic gamers on internet communities are clearly a vocal minority, and they do not represent the silent majority at the slightest.
Sure, hype can lead to disappointment but the game was literally broken when they released it and alot of the shit they marketed was not actually in the game. Thats a VERY different thing.
I feel like your channel is large enough to court important interviews w/ the people involved in the stories you tell. You should totally try reaching out to these companies and see if anyone is willing to answer a couple of questions.
They've never done it. It's not part of their style to interview. It never has been and it probably never will.
Video broken for anyone else?
Same here. It says “No stream”.
Same
It seems it is only broken in the UA-cam app. It works when viewing it from the browser.
The first delay announcement should've been, "We're delaying the game until September 2021, trust us"
The fact that this game sold so much shows once again our failure as a society. That's, quite literally, why we can't have nice things.
"...no one could have predicted the poor state of the base PS4 and XB1 versions that had long eluded the public eye."
Press X to doubt
The most shocking part of this video is that people were playing Cyberpunk on Stadia
True!
Stadia is dead now btw
Don't you dare compare No Man's Sky to this game! No Man's Sky was redeemed because the developers worked their socks off to implement all of the previously promised features in the game! Cyperpunk 2077 is only liked now because it is actually functional and they released an anime! They are not the same!
I’m waiting for 5 hrs and I still get “No stream”.
Is this region locked? I wish Gvmers address this
They captured the lightning in the bottle with their over hype (specially from that yapping dev streaming) but the bottle broke on launch. Now every AAA games wants to avoid being in the same category of *cyberpunk 2077 launch disaster*
Still can’t watch the video - says no stream
Video was clearly made just for views game got some people back and its called a come back we dont even have the big dlc coming yet I really felt yall should have waited a little bit on this one.
I think no man's sky is the biggest redemption
It is. Bar none.
Hearing they profit share with their employees makes them a little bit cooler.
"Surely that's no problem" ... stop calling me Shirley.
Dear fellow Edgerunners....
Do NOT abbreviate "CyberPunk" as "See-Pee". Worst mistake of your life.
And now a random Netflix anime and a few patches are making people come back and say “hey it ain’t that bad”
If you settle for mediocrity these companies will never learn and you will keep receiving the same garbage.
Honestly my thought’s exactly
I wouldn't call it a comeback, really, people just flooded into the game after watching the anime, it doesn't change the fact that the game is still riddled with bugs, doesn't have most basic open world features like driving/police AI (or any decent AI at all, for that matter), has barely any choices or RPG mechanics and is, simply put, not the game it was advertised as. And that's on PC, the platform that got any meaningful updates at all.
The fact that it's making a "comeback" at all is an insult to everyone who got it day one after falling to CDPR's lies.
Yep as good as Edgerunners is it doesn't make me want to give Cyberpunk a try. It also doesn't undo the fact the the game was in such an unplayable state at launch that Sony pulled it from the PS store.
Can you imagine the game we could've played if someone smart had decided that this would be a next-gen game only?
Yep, this is was the biggest mistake of CDPR. It never should've come out for last gen. Never.
Because "greed"
Why doesn’t this video work for me??
Notice how nobody ever had a problem with the story. It’s so obvious how great the story is!
There was no comeback. The game is the same mediocre broken blunder it always was, only now the anime crowd is giving it playtime and it's less dysfunctional due to the amount of patches they released for it with a couple basic bitch features thrown in.
The updates did nothing, but polish a turd and the games original vision was lost during development long before release.
I loved this game at release, it's just after the heist and you gain true access to the open world the game falls apart and not just technically...
I played the game at launch. To see people start to love it is a nice feeling. I played it and beat it at its most broken.
It never actually came back, it's not No Man's Sky story, they still failed badly, lied to us as customers, cut tons of content... Yet still, it's a good game for what it has to offer, but not great
Hurry my friend, thank you for watching, hit me up you have w.on a P.S.5 for yourself ☝️🎮 …
Oh the irony of this video not working for some, but yeah games in a good place now certainly should’ve launched in its current state.
Are we being punked?
This game getting updates to improve the framework of it is the absolute LEAST everyone should be expecting from them; and any other game studio that releases something broken for that matter. Industry standards have gotten so low that any modicum of improving something is seen as a miracle and should be met with adulation and praise, no questions asked. Well, it’s been going on two years now and the game is still the same shallow lite-rpg with a dumb ai as it was when it launched. Having its bugs ironed out doesn’t change what’s under the hood or the misleading marketing promises that were pervasive in the years leading up to release.
If anything edgerunners anime made the game look even more underwhelming. edgerunners told a way more interesting story
Yeah this
Cyberpunk, what an absolute joke of a launch. It should’ve been classed as fraud and shut down. Then gaming higher ups might learn to release a polished game!
"Multiplayer may never see the Light of Day"
....Unless a bunch of talented Modders make the impossible possible.
Compare to bethesda frankenstein engine,The RED Engine is 1000years ahead.
Yet, people keep praising their repeating re-release of skyrim, that still to this day, has the same game breaking bugs that it had on release.
