This video is my current holy grail, I shot the best round I've ever had using this pressure not weight shift concept. Club contact with the golf ball is as smooth as butter and the ball goes where I'm aiming now for a change. Thank you so much for this 👍🏻

Excellent video. This weight shift concept has been bugging me for ages. Also glad to see that the duration of your videos is shortening again to 5-6 minutes. 10 min+ instruction videos are tiresome with people not remembering everything they saw because info overload. 1 video, 1 problem, 1 remedy is the best format. After all, you teach ´the art of SIMPLE golf’ :)

Aha, i only had to watch the first 30 seconds to know what this is about and i agree it is s pressure not weight move. The hardest concept for me when i was learning to do this was the shift left as i was still completing my backswing. For me, i realized, this is just something my body will do, it seems natural. Its just there so if anybody is confused by the timing just take the club back and see where the pressure is. Probably left.

If you are so 'centered' through the swing how than can a ball-turf contact be made? By staying centered, are you not more likely to almost 'pick' the ball up on the forward arc of the swing ? I thought that a proper ball-turf contact requires a certain moving forward of the 'mass' so that the low point is well ahead of the set-up ball position? Please explain how staying centered achieves that? Many thanks

An important concept which is very well explained here! And it’s unfortunately obvious there’s somehow a misunderstanding about this notion. Just look at 85 % players ! And look at them when working on the range with their pro!! The golfers can’t understand what isn’t well said by the pro…. By the way, I don’t understand this focus on a one-piece takeaway for the BS. Sorry to say, but a « slight « initiation with the wrists can help to stay relax to keep a smooth flow and can avoid any sway. Poulter, Rose dot it successfully…

Lead shoulder lead foot at impact. The average golfer is never getting there at impact if weight is transferred whatsoever. I’ve went from a 110s golfer to low 80s in just one year learning a simple concept that basically your lead side is your post/anchor whatever you wish to call it. Also last month or so is getting my natural shot shape down. I have about a 10-15 yard fade so I open my stance if the pin is dead center I play the left edge of the green and just swing. I can’t remember last time past month that I’ve missed the green on a par 3 except 2 times once I didn’t factor wind and I left myself short, next par 3 the wind died a little and I hit 9 instead of pw and hit 10 yards behind the green

The number 1 fundamental of Stack and Tilt is to be able to hit the ground at the same place every time. There are a couple of guys you may want to check our here on UA-cam if you have time. Tom Saguto and Jess Frank. They both teach this method really simple. Tom Saguto actually has an online golf school that I purchased, but he also has tons of free content on here. Im headed to the range right now to work on striking the ball first. Not really worried about direction, strike is the most important. Anyway, thats my two cents….have a good range session!

So if you are moving to apply pressure, how does that convert to using pressure to move, this does not make sense at all.
You are talking about applying pressure to the feet, it should be the feet that applsurely that enables athletic movement and rotation, by applying pressure to the feet, you are encouraging the old thinking of a weight shift, which is exactly what you are trying to say should not be done so you are compounding the myth.
Surely the downswing move back to the target (RH golfer) should be generated by the right foot rolling inwards , the pressure is then applied by the inside of the right foot and as the right knee and leg move back towards the the centre the application of the pressure is moved form the inside of the right foot to the big toe , as this is applied and the body moves, this then leads to the right heel coming of the ground and eventually finish completely turned and resting on your big toe at completion of the swing pressure is moved to the big toe on the right foot.
This pressure applied from the right foot should push the left hip upwards and into external rotation ( not slding but staying centered), this allows the right shoulder and right hip to drop, as the left hip moves upwards, and into external rotation the snap is created when the left hip and leg turn and straighten by then applying pressure with the left foot.
The backswing is started in reverse so pressure is moved by right foot , toe etc on the backswing o
Makes more sense to me that way anyway , I used to be a big weight shifter these are my drills as well , i just do it in slow motion, stopped me sliding or bumping to the left.

@@TheArtofSimpleGolf Fine but I think we both know it's more to do with titling another weight-shift video "not another weight-shift video". It's cool, I scored 38 points on a new course this week and nothing anyone does bothers me. Question for you...how long does this feeling last? ;)

We ideally still want to utilize the ground yes but how most think they need to accomplish it messes them up.

You are talking about swaying! Title of video is misleading - stop that! The fast is that you need to ROTATE your torso! IF you rotate your torso it is almost impossible to come "over the top" and almost impossible to "flip" the club head.

Not every golfer can do that well or fast enough especially as the gears roll on

Excellent video, it makes a lot of sense. Can this concept be applied to the driver swing?

Yes indeed very much so. Have a few videos on driver that helps refine it
