That’s why I don’t do per mile is because the inconsistency. I love being an hourly hazmat tanker truck driver. $1,800+ gross pay, home every night. Get that bag and come home to my family.
That’s the move. I’m tanker too, but owner op. I told my coworker who are company that they are making great money. Told them yeah it’s good this way too, but overall right now it’s better that way. Hope they listen because some want to buy trucks. 😂

Thanks Nia for the info. When I first went OTR in 2001 I was making.32 per mile but we ran over 3500-4000 miles a week back then. Paper logs and we basically filled out the log at the end of the day. Hours of service? Nobody cared just run as much as you want and make that money. Things are a bit different now. Glad you newer drivers can make decent money with less miles. It’s been a journey that’s for sure

Every trucking company is pretty much the same. I was in 4 different companies due to the pandemic 2019. You are right ✅️ find a company close to home and start there after 2 years of trucking you can go somewhere else . Great video Miss Nia ❤️🚚🚛💯😻😇😎👍❤️✅️
I met another female from Jackson Mississippi who runs with that company that's great for the beginning just like I told her make sure you get your Hazmat and tanker endorsement as soon as you get your experience you are doing great to be a beginner🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Keep up the hard work on the road. To be honest, when all is said and done, being a company driver is the safest place to be right now. The market is not great right now for owner operators as far as rates. By the time you buy your fuel and all the other taxes, we aren't making much more with a lot more risk. But you can get some good deals on trucks right now, but they will get you with the interest rates. Alot of owner operators turning trucks in and getting out of the business.
so glad you are doing well with KLLM, that's good money you're making as a company driver. Are you going to become an Owner Op in the future? Lots of toys for Palm!!!
It’s nice to see someone actually happy in trucking ! I’ve been. Trucking for 12 years. Seems like no one is happy. But, I’m glad you are..🎉🎉 I was with KLLM in 2014-2015. I wasn’t making no where near that. As time went on I got my own truck and made over 100k a year for 5 years. Now the company I’m with is ok for now. It’s funny how our paychecks look very similar. I’m with Epes Transport. Keep up the good work! Always take care of yourself..✨✨✨✨✅👍🏾
@@Floridaboifletch You 100% right ! That’s all I hear these days and I just ask one question! What’s your financial routine? Not many seem to have one. Mostly people want more money so they can spend more. I was taught early by my trainer. Always focus on what you can keep. Not what you can make. I lived on the 70/20/10 rule. It worked out for me for over a decade. I never chased the money. I took what I made broke it down and kept going. Everyone I know now complains about what they want to make. I tell people to save 1k a month every month without fail into a savings. I did consistently for 12 years into a savings account. Never took one deposit out. You can do the math. Then I invested 20% . I never changed the formula. I have no debt. My home was built and never bought expensive cars. You have to be humble and you will be just fine living modest. All the people who chase a so called bag find out that it’s a hole in it. The hole is from their own hand.🤷🏾♂️
@@Jamal33270 I’m new in the game, but I see that if I want to actually make something out of this, I have to make a decision to get rid of all the debt and get back into a situation where I’m actually seeing my money stack (which I have done).
