I think that I speak for all of your “Subs” when I say that we are all so happy that you’ve weathered through this awful pandemic and that hopefully some day soon both of you will regain your senses of taste and smell. You are truly an amazing and inspiring couple and family. God Bless You All and Wishing You A Very Merry First Christmas In Your New Home. 🎄🎁🎅🏼
The only part about this project that I worried about was the glue. In the past, back when I was a kid, whenever I worked on project that required glue, often times when the glue dried it would have a tendency to warp to entire project, and it would always drive me nuts. The only way to not have this happen was to place my projects on something flat and then put a whole bunch of heavy things on top of it. That seemed to work on most projects, but not on others when the things on put on top of it to hold it down got glued to the project. Grrrrr!!! But I'm so glad everything worked out for you. Kudos to you again for another job well done!!!
You guys are the most stalwart, remarkable young couple in America. You can hold your heads high for your achievements we have witnessed as your actions have won our hearts. Please be safe and get well, we are holding your family in our prayers.
I was going to gush about how good the flow, videography and music is in this video, and then the dynamics of their relationship just blows me away. These kids are special. Please get well.
I'm glad to see that you and the kids are recovered from the virus. It's scary, but thankfully kids are resilient and you two are strong. Wishing you all great health and happiness for the New Year.
Quick tip if you don't like cleaning paint brushes. Place a plastic bag over the bristles, squeeze out the air and secure with a rubber band. The brush will stay soft and you can carry on using the next day no problem. I have actually waited 3-4 days and the brush was still usable.
I found out about this channel a month ago and I've been binge watching since, but I've finally caught up which sucks because now I have to wait for a new video like everyone else 😭
If I were you, I wouldn't feel so bad about having to wait for the next set of videos, they are definitely worth the wait. Personally, I cherish them all.
One day when your little girl is grown, you will look at that stain on the vanity and cry. It will be a precious memory that will mean the WORLD to you. ❤
Isn't it amazing how you get a good feeling when you initially view a new video when it starts. I started watching the very first video Erin posted and haven't missed one since.
I absolutely love this door..........going to show my daughter the door as they are getting ready to make one for their big bathroom. Glad you are feeling better.......stay healthy and I hope you get your smell back sooner than later.....bless your hearts.....not fun especially during Christmas time! God bless
Strewth....... you guys are inspirational, you've been so ill and yet....... out there, working on your projects, I admire your strength and even envious, still cannot get over how well you two work together, work so hard together, even finding time to joke about loss of smell (I was in stiches). Feeling a little ashamed I can't get my act together on some days. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation. Keep safe and wish you a continued recovery. Thoughts and prayers
Makes me want to build a barn door. Love the stain and the handles. If you do them again, I would run long pieces of wood on the sides and little pieces in the middle instead of little pieces on the sides with horizontal long pieces. You would see less end-grain of the wood. Just a personal preference though.
So glad to see y'all, I hope you are all feeling better and on the mend. I always look toward to seeing your videos. Have a happy Sunday guys and stay safe and healthy
It's great to see all of you up and about doing the things that you love to do. Please don't overdo it though, you are still in your recovery period. The doors are absolutely beautiful and am eagerly awaiting seeing them with the hardware on them. Take care and wishing you a speedy recovery with your smell and taste.
TIP FOR YOU---For bathroom vanity stain--Barkeepers Friend powder, not liquid. Make a paste n leave on stain overnight. Just wipe off with a wet rag. The liquid Barkeepers Friend doesn't have the same strength. I've used it for years, it does a remarkable job. If ur nervous about it, try it on a small, inconspicuous spot first.
Just regarding the vanity, a few years ago we re-carpeted the whole house and my 2 teen boys helped, in 1 room under a radiator the carpet curves away from the edge by being cut wrong & going up the stairs the carpet twists away from an edge as that tread is just off square, both mistakes i treasure as a daily reminder of their desire to help as an expression of their love. Embrace the stain as a reminder of Ellie's creativity .
You know I've never thought about it but ya, it is dangerous to not be able to smell. You can't smell if something is burning, you can't smell a gas leak, or if you are inhaling dangerous chemicals. Stuff you just never think about. Great vid as always and glad you guys are feeling better.
I have never been able to smell my whole life and yeah it's great not having to smell bad odors but it's scary not knowing if something is burning or chemicals. I gag my family out when I clean cause I don't realize how much I'm using. I would love to have a gas stove but if something happens I wouldn't know.

@@cpfishfan14 Yes, it does take your appetite away from you as well. I found out in my own full recovery some great things that helped me tremendously to get over it for good. That was deep breathing exercises 2x a day, hot tea with honey & lemon all day long, continue rest even after the symptoms are gone and you feel better, eat lots of antioxidant fruits such as blueberries, strawberries, avocados, arugula, etc. and fresh air. No strenuous work for a while. You have to ease back into it slowly. And the biggest help was trusting in God and letting it take its course. Blessings friends!! 🙏🏼💞🕊🙋🏻♀️

I agree. I was also thinking the two of you neither sound nor look as though you're ok but you're working like you are. Please take it easier. I lost my sense of smell and taste for a few days many years ago... it certainly is weird and not good when eating. Hope your senses soon return as well as full health. Love the doors, btw.
I made a barn door for our pantry. I did not put "trim" as you call it on the backside as it's not normally seen. Again for the "Trim" I ran the vertical boards "stiles" full length and the horizontal boards "rails" between the vertical boards. I only had one rail in the middle around 36" to the center. I made ours out of Beetle wood. That's pine that the trees were infected by the Western Bark Beetle. It turns the wood blue in places. We have that on our kitchen Island and our Mantle. The antique hardware is great. Unique hardware for unique people.

Trend cautiously guys. I am now a retired epidemiologist for 37 years. Even after testing negative for the COVID virus and feeling somewhat better, everyone will have different experiences in what they feel is recovery. And even people that feel back to normal and go back to their way of life, sustain complications months later. This is one disease that very little data has been gathered and what the long term affects on the body is after being exposed. People have suffered from many small bleeds in the brain to blood clots in their lungs to system organ failure. So tread carefully people
By watching your videos, I reaffirm my convictions that the most beautiful and beautiful is in the simple, in the simplicity of people and in leading a life according to what we think and are. You have the ability to do this and I see it in you, you are good people, the planet thanks you

One of many Artsy conversation pieces on bathroom counter top to share for a lifetime. It’s what makes the house a home. You can seal certain porous counter tops like Granite, Marble, Natural Stone to protect against markings/stains.

The barn doors are very nice! Glad to see y’all working again. The house is beautiful. May God bless you.

The doors are lovely and so is the handles. Please stay safe. God bless
One of many Artsy conversation pieces on bathroom counter top to share for a lifetime. It’s what makes the house a home. You can seal certain porous counter tops like Granite, Marble, Natural Stone to protect against markings/stains.
