Great job on the gutters during all that snow. It is fantastic that you have a septic tank. It’s all coming together guys. Stay safe. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
You have come so far in your off-grid homestead, the septic system is a BIG PLUS and really needed and wanted and makes life so much easier and less to deal with, especially with laundry and toilets and sinks, great job guys, loving every minute of this!
Your house looks magnificent, I know you both have put your 💕 and soul into the construction!!! I see snow and it's so pretty but I just like to look at it. Can't shovel it any more .... Shoveled for 25 years...... Stay warm and safe, till your next video ,God Bless .....
I am so excited for you both. This is the huge game changer that Greg hinted at about a month ago! To have gotten to this point in your journey makes my eyes tear up in pure joy for you both .. a septic system is life changing 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
It's GOTTA feel pretty good to finally have a septic system - thank you for being nice and NOT telling us how you have managed waste up to this point. I imagine it was the most enjoyable job, huh? Great to see such progress. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Looks good guy's 👍You were cutting it pretty close to freeze up :) Good to see you have your indoor plumbing going together 😀, I'm Katie will appreciate it :) I was lucky enough to be able to put that all together at the time of my build even though I'm fully off grid ! Take care winter is here"
Awesome video you guy's ❤. That's a huge upgrade to have completed and will make this winter much more enjoyable for you. Loved the scenery from the drone.
🌼 good afternoon guys, fantastic video as always, beautiful having the septic and now you can spend all your time this winter in your amazing workshop. 🌼 🌱
I love your channel we learn a lot from you all I love you all's animals I like him the most Steve I'm so happy that you all almost at 130,000 subscribers you are doing really good job with your place and property

Gregg on the slick snowy roof glad he got it done safely hope your next video is Good I can hardley wait I know y'all will be sewing grass seed And covering it with hay as soon as the weather is warm enough Loved. Watching Katie toating Steven around he is a Good little Goat you might want to Nuder him so he dosent turn ill natured.
Greetings from Brittany France. We just had a new "fosse septique" system installed. The tank was the same design as yours, but in France the favoured method is to take the liquid from the tank into a filter bed. For our 1200 litre tank the filter bed had to be 5m square and 1.5m deep. 20 ronnes of washed sand went in first, covered with a membrane, then gravel up to the top of a matrix of 100mm plastic pipes. The whole thing then covered with soil and levelled. That cost us 10,000 euros - (14,500 Canadian dollars). We were lucky because the terrain allowed for a gravity flow from tank to filter bed 70 yards away. In a previous house we had to have a pump to pump the waste water uphill to the filter bed. That was 10,000 euros! Out of interest, tell us more about your filtration method. I've not seen that before. Very best wishes, Paul
I prayed or you two on the roof and not skating off the roof. The gutters are looking good. Septic is the way to go. The snow as beautiful to see come down. Being in Santa Barbara we hardly have ever gotten any snow. Stays too warm mostly. Hugs 🫶🌹😎👏🤗🙏😘🐐
Yes no matter how off grid you are some things are a must & some times we don't have time for everything or need the pro's to get it done, Just do what we can 👍, You guy's always do a great job !
The best thing about your channel is consistency. You take an occasional vacation time but I can count on you posting weekly. Thanks for the interesting content and hard work.
Congrats on your septic system. Sucks you couldnt do it yourselves but a big job. Certified process for a reason. Thanks for the daily video of "sketchy stuff" you 2. Wouldnt be video without a little. Good job on the rain gutters. Thanks for the video
My goodness. Quantum leap improvements! Despite the weather. Wise to use safetyropes Greg! And I must say both of you radiate good team members. While your choice of music contributes a lot to the atmosphere of your videos! Greetings from the Netherlands.
Yeah it probably does not pay for them to go way out to your house and press out a 25 or 30 foot piece. You probably could have went to them with your trailer and bought the one piece at their house or shop and then installed it yourself.
Hi Katie and Greg. The snowfall was beautiful, it looked like wet snow. That was kind of an ugly day to be going that work outside but you two and the septic installers worked through it and got the job done. They did a very good job on all the dirt work and clean up IMO. I know your preference would have been to do it youself, but they did a great job and got it done in that day and it's now completed and behind you and checked off your list. The gutter and drain turned out good and I"m sure you are thankful to get that done. Steve is such a character, I sure like that little bugger 😉 Seeing you both working in the new shop was nice, you must be so glad and thankful to have it compled and have such a nice space to be working in now. It was pretty cool seeing you out there working the drone and getting the nice footage Katie. The property and surroundings look so nice, just beautiful. Have a blessed week and I'll see you both on the next one. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
If you don’t put chemicals or grease in your septic system and only use biodegradable soaps, you won’t have to worry about pumping the tank for years. I’ve had our tank pumped once in forty years and it didn’t really need it. But you have to make sure nothing goes in it that will kill the natural process breaking everything down. 😊
Awesome as always cool shots of the snow fall and epic views. Steve the adventurer always in trouble 😂he’s a kid, Mommy. I would think man look at that beautiful home and awesome layout on your property has to be millionaires did all this.. such great work and dedication you guys be proud of it ❤❤
Katie, your introductions to each video are interesting and peaceful. Greg, you are a real stud for working in the cold on the slippery roof installing the sheetmetal. It will be nice to be able to hook up your plumbing and use the new septic tank. Blessings to you two great folks.
Wow, poopin like regular folk. That's a big upgrade! You guys crack me up, Greg working on a pitched metal roof in a snow storm, really? LOL Then Katie walking the plank (metal platform) in snow and Ice. Nothing sketchy off grid.. Please stay safe!! :)
I use Eufy security cams, great also. What's that white stuff ? None since 2020.. Never saw a leech field like that...short. Mine ran like 50-75 yards with a stepover just as long. When we built our house.
Welcome to another episode of……SKETCHY SHIT WITH GREG….todays episode…..Greg is installing gutters on a snow covered roof….Im so happy you tied yourself off! Trust me me, there are millions of people who do sketchy shit, in order to get done what needs to be done! Stay as safe as possible and I understand why you do what you do! Love your videos!
Not planning on it at this point. Usually when we need water for the garden, there isn’t any rain anyways. It’s just as easy to use our main spring fed system. And we typically give the animals warm water in the cooler weather
What pedigree is you largest (and youngest) dog. I've seen videos when you just got him, but i taught he is a Anatolian Shepherd (Karabash/Kangal) but yours has longer hairs (and is more beautiful) 🙂
I agree that your place looks great, and the progress is steady. However, you decided you did not like the acrid smell inside your house permanently. That is why you got a septic tank? You had said before that you did not want the septic tank and that you were satisfied with the non-flushable toilets. what exactly happened there?
My attempt at a sexy selfie ended with me realizing that the angle that makes your legs look longer also makes your face look like it belongs in a horror movie. Selfie fail🧡
Great job on the gutters during all that snow. It is fantastic that you have a septic tank. It’s all coming together guys. Stay safe. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Beautiful landscaping to wake up to every morning. Thank you for sharing your experience and beautiful family.
I see that the lights in the workshop are working great
Your place is coming out great! The videos never disappoint.
Dude! you are nuts being on that metal roof during snowfall. God be with you.
It helps that if you slide off, the saftey harness is there.
Looks like you guys are enjoying that new work area built up it looks really good
Snow definitely changes everything
Nice to see you wearing a safety harness .
Congratulations on septic. Means a lot to a home. Outdoors looks great. Glad you are safe. Be well.
Your house looks magnificent, I know you both have put your 💕 and soul into the construction!!! I see snow and it's so pretty but I just like to look at it. Can't shovel it any more .... Shoveled for 25 years...... Stay warm and safe, till your next video ,God Bless .....
Doing AWESOME out there,
Beautiful house, love all the animals too.
Yay gutters!! Happy your septic tank and system are in ground 🎉🎉🎉
You both are awesome! My husband and I prefer to do as much as we can ourselves too.
I am so excited for you both. This is the huge game changer that Greg hinted at about a month ago! To have gotten to this point in your journey makes my eyes tear up in pure joy for you both .. a septic system is life changing 🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

I what's the two of you all the best this is coming from Kyle who lives off grid in Northern Ontario
Gregg doing sketchy shit, gotta love it! I'm glad to see you got a safety harness.

They have a composting toilet, they’re not cavemen 😂
we have had a couple videos about it! we love our composting system!
You are the man putting up, solar panels in the heat and not trim on top of the house in the snow
Looks good guy's 👍You were cutting it pretty close to freeze up :) Good to see you have your indoor plumbing going together 😀, I'm Katie will appreciate it :) I was lucky enough to be able to put that all together at the time of my build even though I'm fully off grid ! Take care winter is here"
👊👍👍working in these conditions......get things done. Great work😊😊😊😊
The teeter totter scaffolding was hilarious. ‘ you move further out and I can move further out. ‘
Awesome video you guy's ❤.
That's a huge upgrade to have completed and will make this winter much more enjoyable for you. Loved the scenery from the drone.
Awesome. Great job!! Stay safe and have a great day.👍🤓👍🤓.Randy.

Just realized that Juniper and Hinto are a color match for your original goats

One thing I really wish is you guys make a CD of all the music you play on your videos. I love every song you play during these videos.
we love comments like this! half of our viewers hate our music, the others love it.
That is some clever use of climbing equipment..... 😁
The best thing about your channel is consistency. You take an occasional vacation time but I can count on you posting weekly. Thanks for the interesting content and hard work.

Thanks for the video
Still enjoy watching your videos from South Africa ❤

Thanks for the heater, I really like it.
What a beautiful spot you have.
Flushing toilets will be the luxury which is a necessity !
And a nice bath or shower.
Yeah it probably does not pay for them to go way out to your house and press out a 25 or 30 foot piece. You probably could have went to them with your trailer and bought the one piece at their house or shop and then installed it yourself.
They wouldn't even do that.
That's going to nice. Good job Greg.

I liked the progress on your off grid.I love it❤❤❤
Now that you have the gutters up,you can have a water catchment big tank to collect all the water instead of it going to the grey water system
hat's off to you your a brave man plus it's xzcin cold

Hello Katie &greg wow congratulations 👋
"Who doesn't love snow?"
"Anyone with work to do on a roof?"
"Oh yeah, those guys."
Good morning to everyone. Watching from Palm Bay, Florida. Great 62 degrees at the moment.
Love watching you guys❤
Exciting for septic
It's funny how many businesses don't want small jobs.Hi from Colorado Springs 😀.
Awesome as always cool shots of the snow fall and epic views. Steve the adventurer always in trouble 😂he’s a kid, Mommy. I would think man look at that beautiful home and awesome layout on your property has to be millionaires did all this.. such great work and dedication you guys be proud of it ❤❤
Katie u need to resow ur grass seed so it will come up this spring 😊
Well done y'all 👏🏿 👏🏻👏👏🏿👏🏻👏👏🏿👍🍻
All right all right
you are supposed to snap a chalk line sloping down before trying to install the gutter against the fascia.
3/4" drop over the whole gutter. we chalked a line
My kind of snow, big fluffy flakes
Have a great weekend
🖐🏻🇨🇦
REMEMBER: No heavy equipment/loaded dump trucks/etc. on top of that infiltrator field…. Permanently.
A flushing toilet is going to be a huge convenience after years of dealing with a composting toilet. Darn near civilized. 😄
Katie, your introductions to each video are interesting and peaceful. Greg, you are a real stud for working in the cold on the slippery roof installing the sheetmetal. It will be nice to be able to hook up your plumbing and use the new septic tank. Blessings to you two great folks.
ANOTHER GREAT VLOG
Now a bath or a full shower that lasts longer than one minute. Things are looking good.

Good Morning from Georgisa

Hello Katie and Greg do y’all have running water in your house cause I was thinking y’all got your water from spring
Will you do rain carchment?
Welcome to another episode of……SKETCHY SHIT WITH GREG….todays episode…..Greg is installing gutters on a snow covered roof….Im so happy you tied yourself off! Trust me me, there are millions of people who do sketchy shit, in order to get done what needs to be done! Stay as safe as possible and I understand why you do what you do! Love your videos!
Looks good. What was the cost of install? Our septic tank will need replacing in the near future.
still waiting on the bill.. not gonna be cheap
"Sketchy shit with Greg"!
lol, where the ‘Sketchy Shit with Greg’ Saturday segment? 😂
Your horseshoe is upside down
Im suprised you all havnt gotten a rain catch system off your house yet.
❤
😀
Do you keep your grey water out of your septic? It’ll increase the longevity of the life
👍🏴
Are you guys going to try and capture the water off the roof to use for the garden or animals? Really glad to see the safety ropes in use up there :)
Not planning on it at this point. Usually when we need water for the garden, there isn’t any rain anyways. It’s just as easy to use our main spring fed system. And we typically give the animals warm water in the cooler weather
Pity you couldnt have the run of from the roof into your fresh water tank???
What pedigree is you largest (and youngest) dog. I've seen videos when you just got him, but i taught he is a Anatolian Shepherd (Karabash/Kangal) but yours has longer hairs (and is more beautiful) 🙂
sarplaninac / maremma
😊💕✌
the horseshoe in the shop is upside down, all else is great.
Gutter? Eaves trough seems more accurate.
How the pair of you have not had a bad accident I do not know!!!!!!!!!!
first you have to be smarter than the rivet gun!
The shape of the house changed, are you going to change the channel logo?...l'm Just kidding🤗
Just you wait! we are going to be changing the channel in a HUGE way.
🦒🐕🐕🐐🐐👍❤❤😘😘😘🎉🎉
My roofer's heart is skiping beats because of how wrong you did that gutter. 😒
👍 Wau

Must be nice to be so busy you can just turn down a job
SHITTERS FULL !! 😉
Nobody wants to work anymore
If u can afford to pay people to due the work for u than why not.
Its a legal requirement
