some time ago my solo queue games were HORRIBLE until I started using Bond, Especially if you use it with open-handed. Crazy how you made this video and I started using it again
Being a teammate player, I'm currently using: borrowed time, bond, lithe and windows of opportunity, what do you recommend? i haven't played in more than a 1 year so I don't know what perks are OP. Love ur videos 👍
change borrowed time to we'll make it and change windows to something like off the record, adrenaline or background player if you like doing pallet/flashbang saves, this way you'll heal your team quicker and either have anti tunnel, a second chance in end game or helping your team with saves, it may be difficult to play without windows but it's gonna be worth it once you learn tile pattern, having a extra perk slot gives much more value than windows will ever give.
Empathy for me over Bond, but both are great perks. I don't use Flashlights, so I'm never chasing after a teammate going for a save, and that is truly where Bond shines so you can get to the best position, Empathy doesn't always allow for that. Same with avoiding teammates on a gen, Bond is consistent with that, Empathy of course requires one of them to be injured. Likewise, I also don't use exhaustion perks, so the extra range with Empathy lets me follow the chase and track (when I feel like paying attention) pallet usage map wide, dip early if I see an injured survivor coming my way, determine the level of the survivor based on their looping mechanics, and *usually* figure out who the killer is after the survivor is injured, based on how they path and what they do in reaction to the killer. All map wide, which for me and how I play is a major advantage for me. If Bond had another 16-24m range, it would be a difficult decision. 32m and I'd use it over Empathy without question.
I'll add that before the UW spam, I used Kindred to round things out. Everyone sees killer aura and if they're face camping, and I can see if I need to go for save without wasting any time compared to having to be close enough with Bond. This is what always draws me back to this laggy af game, the depth of perks and plethora of playstyles from which to choose. I just wish they'd fix hitreg and latency. Maybe with UE5, they will.
Empathy allows use of another perk, possibly an exhaustion perk to get yourself out of a sticky situation or to take a protection hit and take chase from someone who needed it. Maybe your better than them at chase, bail em out or give everyone else kindred value. Bond and open-handed are great but any means and empathy tells you a lot more. Any means tells you if the killer breaks pallets and if they do, if they break them instantly or if they wait. Some killers don't break them at all and you wait till they get out of there and reset them. Another good build is we'll make it, kindred, second wind, empathy. You see others and can do something about it to keep you and others in the game as long as possible. The we'll make it icon tells a survivor to not be a dummy and run off, just stay close and I got you. Maybe get the round's best runner back into action so y'all can get the rest of the gens or open the gate. Like you, there are smarter ways to play this game and that is what keeps me playin.
exhaustion- Lithe or SB anti tunnel- Off the Record anti camp- Reassurance best gen perk- Déjà vu best heal perk: We'll make it best save perk: background player best SWF perk: Deliverance anti aura: distortion/ off the record best end game perk: adrenaline/hope anti slugging: Unbreakable best Solo Q perk: bond/kindred best aura perk: alert best self healing perk: Plot twist/ Inner strength best misc. perk: Resilience/ buffed iron will/ Blast mine/ Flashbang that's my personal perk list, 5000hrs ingame
Love Bond, when I was new at the game I always told my friends they should use it for all the reasons you gave. I love having the information Bond gives me ❤
You should make a whole guide on how to have the most fun in solo queue survivor. I have 3k hours, killer main and used to play a lot of 4 men swf in 2019. Now I am 90% killer player just because I can't stand solo queue but would like to play surv more, like I used to.
I think Windows AND Bond are the greatest perks. The same reason you said Bond is cringe, is the reason Windows gets so much value. Scared people who hide also throw pallets.
Thing is, aura reading should be reworked entirely to balance solo queue and 4 man swf. Information should be more accessible if others can access it without perks. I'll explain below what I mean by that. Perks that provide aura reading should also be reworked to do something else. The ones related to the opponents would stay the same, but: - Survivors should see each other's aura at all times. This is imperative to the success of the team. People on comms can call out their location. Solo queue survivors can't do that without perks. - Survivors should share the auras of generators, chests, totems, windows, pallets and exit gate switches while the survivor can see them, the effect lingering for 3 seconds. People on comms can say "a hex totem is on 6" or "gen on 9 is at 50%". This information should be free for solo queue players as well. Aura should be color coded or labled. - The Killer's aura should always be revealed to other survivors while the survivor can see the killer, even while the killer is undetectable. This grants people the information they need. People on comes can say "I see it's a pig, going 6". Solo queue players may not know who the killer is for a good chunk of the match. - Killers should see the auras of all totems, chests, pallets and windows at all times at any distance. - Survivors should be able to communicate using stickers. Callouts like "i have a get at 50" or " I need a heal" should be easy to be said. - An accessibility feature should exist where sounds are turned off but what hearing people can hear is displayed on the screen accurately. For example, if a wraith is cloaked and walking behind you, should your know exactly where wraith is based on the sound, through a video display.

Bond is a must-have in soloQ and pubs, obviously its pretty useless if you have coms with your fellow survivors, but baring that im not taking it off
I only play solo q and the biggest change I made from being in gold to rank 1 was using bond. By far the best solo q perk
I wanna run a ace 16+ meter perk and bond/kindred and stuff but I cannot play without my dead hard, iron will combo 😭
some time ago my solo queue games were HORRIBLE until I started using Bond, Especially if you use it with open-handed.
Potential energy and off the record being kinda meta rn unintentionally
As soon as I saw the thumbnail in my notifications, I knew immediately which perk you were gonna talk about.
Outdated Bond benefit : you can kinda see, if your teammates are doing gens
Like you, there are smarter ways to play this game and that is what keeps me playin.
exhaustion- Lithe or SB
anti tunnel- Off the Record

that's my personal perk list, 5000hrs ingame
Love Bond, when I was new at the game I always told my friends they should use it for all the reasons you gave. I love having the information Bond gives me ❤
Nah that camera angle 0:10
Great breakdown. Didn’t agree when I heard it but you make an excellent point. Subscribed for this and the inclusion of it being free as a true value
You should make a whole guide on how to have the most fun in solo queue survivor. I have 3k hours, killer main and used to play a lot of 4 men swf in 2019. Now I am 90% killer player just because I can't stand solo queue but would like to play surv more, like I used to.
20 seconds into the video : A-fkin-MEN !!
a lot of these also overlap with kindred but bond is more consistent
I think Windows AND Bond are the greatest perks. The same reason you said Bond is cringe, is the reason Windows gets so much value. Scared people who hide also throw pallets.
I enjoy windows of opportunity with almost every build. Make sure I can always find a loop
Anyone I've encountered using bond usually use it to run killer right to me while they are being chased and I'm working on a gen 😂
Thing is, aura reading should be reworked entirely to balance solo queue and 4 man swf. Information should be more accessible if others can access it without perks. I'll explain below what I mean by that. Perks that provide aura reading should also be reworked to do something else. The ones related to the opponents would stay the same, but:
- Survivors should see each other's aura at all times.

If I wouldn't run Windows, I'd die after switching the first loop.
I completely agree and think it’s underrated
I absolutely adore bond! It was my favorite survivor perk since 2021 and i feel really uncomfortable w/o it in matches
Bond is amazing! Here’s my build for Bond: Bond, Quick Gambit, Troubleshooter, and any anti-tunneling perk or Adrenaline. Bond is the best info perk in the game!❤👍
Windows really is a crutch but I solo queue a lot and I’m sub 350 hours so I can’t really play without it yet
i’ve only recently started taking off windows with 1700 hours! i think bond will definitely be a great change
Didn't know bond was that good, I'll try it.
Thanks, I'll put this info to good use.
completely agree. I take bond every game.
What sens do u use for controller on survivor?
bond is these perks in one
1 Quick gambit
2 Empathy
3 kindred
4 Windows of opportunity
5 No one left behind
6 Empathy
7 Premonition
8 is free (just like Empathy
For me personally bond does not replace windows, for my shitty memory to know what pallets are dropped is just so good, an also not even knowing jus knowing where they are but having them highlighted itself is just nice bc some maps it’s hard to see well at least for me, an I don’t even have bad eyes but some maps everything blends in, I’ve legit gone down sometimes bc I couldn’t see a vault 😭😭😭
Damn dude, did you just change my opinion on Bond? I think you just did.
I concede, Bond is pretty dope.
This video sold me on Bond, will start running it
Oh no you see, if my solo queue teammates do nothing but hide in a locker or a corner I will go to them for heals, enoourage them to play...
or just sandbag them, because screw that. so your downside is not a downside.
this is what i m telling my friends over and over again but most of them dont listen.. One perk to rule them aaalll
bond easily the best perk in the game
The solo q value is so good!! I think that stands alone as reason #9
I'm soloQ bond addict, but having to play with it makes me see 4ppl SWF as dirty cheaters, using 3rd party software to essentially get 5th perk slot. On top of other bullshit possible with communication.
Ironic that all newbies use dwight, but never use the dwight perks other than prove thyself
bond + open cards (+16m)
I BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO SAY THIS THANK YOU
Windows makes blindness actually useful as the killer
I would say Bond is my most valuable perk in my build. Not necessarily the strongest but extremely useful as you stated
I use Empathy all the time. Maybe Bond is indeed a better option.
Bond is good until you have a teammate that refuses to heal
Every player should run this perk
Finally, someone says it haha when i used to play I almost only played killer but always used Bond as a survivor its just too good
Agreed! Bond stays in my build
My build in solo q is deliverence windows bond and dead hard
