*Should you go for Prestige 1 or Prestige 3?* Answer: If you're only going to play a few characters only, it's best to go for Prestige 1 to get the perks you want (Tier 1) as soon as possible. Then, level up those few characters to get the Tiers 2 and 3 in the bloodweb. However, if you want to play SEVERAL characters, then it might be best to go for Prestige 3 on the characters with perks that you want. It will take a little longer, but eventually you will unlock those perks at Tier 3 on everyone.
I wanted to build a Scourge Hook meme build using all 4 Scourge Hook perks and am so glad I chose to p3 all of the killers in question, not only was playing them fun, but I have used the build on a tonne of different characters and are so happy with it. If you're like me and have plenty of killers you enjoy playing, absolutely p3 on the perks you want.

I would actually recommend this minus the face camping part, at least back when BBQ gave BP he was an easy first-buy. Now it's not as big of a deal. I love bubba though, his power is easy to learn/control and he can chew through pallets, but you still have to mind-game loops and occasionally M1. And he's just fun. Can destroy low-mid rank players, falls off a little bit at red ranks.
@@BrunoHartmann- Yes, but Bubba felt almost OP (without camping) until you get into red ranks, where he really isn't. Doesn't fall off as much as Billy though, his chainsaw is so tough to use against good players.
@@DeceptivePastry The problem with Bubba is that it only takes one trick to turn him from a pallet eating menace into a putty tat with a chainsaw. I won't even say what it is because it is so simple. If the majority of survivors used that trick, Bubba would have to resort to camping that one survivor he caught as all the generators popped just to get a 1K.
Short summaries like these are nice and all, Otz, but what I really need is a 30 hour guide detailing the optimal bloodweb routes of every possible addon/item/perk path possible.
It's not that hard, first if you want to unlock and level up good perks then you should focus on the perk path no matter what. Always take the perk which has a better level than the other. Remember if you reach a perk level 3 you won't get it anymore therefore you'll get other perks on the bloodweb and have a better chance to have perk you want to appear.
For unlockable killers, you didn't talk much about him but Dredge has INSANE mobility with his locker warps, able to zip around and listen for gens being worked on from lockers, and even be extremely unpredictable against SWFs by breaking chases and zipping away to who knows where to harass someone else or come from a different direction. Strong contender for a main imo.
As a still "learning to walk" player and killer with only a hand full of hours - i chose Dredge, no idea why even. But you are completely right - the teleport possibility is great! And with each game you learn more - you can listen even in teleport, where something is worked on, you can tp away and so on. I just "discovered" the second ability with the "leftover", a nice "short teleport" possibility - in a loop its priceless when you surprise a survivor with the right timing. I think i will keep Dredge - not the easiest, but a hell of fun!
@@markpozsar5785 I so hear you! Maybe you try to play the dredge as killer - you really understand then how it works. I dont mind to play against dredge anymore, not even in the dark - for as much the dark gives information to the killer it does give information to me too. You see the killer and you see the mates :) I like to keep away from the lockers too... dont worry - you will make it!!!

I would say that the cliche of “playing both sides” would apply here. If you’re starting out on one side, make sure you play the other. It helped me so much when I started playing killer that I was an experienced survivor.
Yeah when I started playing Killer I already knew how many loops would go and what mindgames to do based on how I would play as Survivor and by copying things Killers would do against me
Yeah, exactly. I already had a few hours as a pure survivor in the game when I decided to pick killer, and thanks to that I knew the survivor mindset so I knew where to go to find them, what and where they would do and go to next, etc., I didn't even need good perks, I went "naked" in games. And the teams I faced where a rather easy 4k and I've had some tell me "There's no way you're a low rank killer" ... But I was, it's just that my knowledge as a survivor really helped me.
Played twice once as killer I won first time got 3 kills one got away but barely was fun then I played as the victim lol and hell no I get nervous when being chased geus I am just never playing survivor agian also died I dont get survivors u need too get lucky that the killer focuses on the other 3
Ya once I started to play killer and just constantly lost survivors and I realized that I could just stand next to a wall and killers just won't see me 💀
Eh, I think playing killer helps survivors more. You see all the gens so you can memorize where gens can spawn. I mostly just played killer and got a feel for where survivors like to hide and the tricks they do to try and fool you.
I always tried to figure out what really fitsmy style, I always hated pallets and wanted my opponents to be injured then I tried legion and he was really fun with jumping over pallets. With his add-ons, he is even more annoying where one of his pins doesn't let the survivor heal for 60 seconds! Pretty pressuring, thank you for this video otz since I actually bought a few killers and wanted to see if they could also be my main as well.
Otz: in case you don’t have time for the video, here’s a link for a quiz I made. He’s simply prepared and overachieves everything and I love it. But let’s be real, we all have time to watch otz’s videos. Even if they’re 9 hours

One tip for new killers: Don’t worry about who the best killer in the game is, play the killer you have the most fun with because in the end every killer can be really good in their own way with enough practice!!!
This is helpful advice for me because I really like the Trickster and am willing to sink a ton of time into a lower-tier killer in order to learn him bc I like his lore and playstyle a lot, plus Yun-Jin seems like a cool Survivor I can play if I decide to play as Survivor. Thanks!
I paid for Nemesis, so I spent 400 hours learning to master his abilities. 😂 Idgaf which one was easier to start with. I love Resident Evil and Otz always made the game play look fun!
Nemesis has been a blast to play for being new to the game his tentacle is a bit weird but dam his big beefy sounds is just so fun to listen to and scare survivors with

If you're frequently frustrated with feeling like a slow tank and having survivors constantly hold forward, try out Blight. He's hard to do good with at first, but you'll never have to deal with downtime again and his skill ceiling is one of the highest in the game.
I have yet to try Blight, but I also have yet to feel like a slow tank as Legion. The first killer I tried was Spirit to not get destroyed immediately, and the second was Legion. You can't teleport around, but boy can you run! If you run one or two information perks, you can always bring yourself back towards the action with their speed, and if you hit someone, track where survivors are going. If I feel like I have downtime, it's because I've forced the survivors to waste theirs, and keep off generators.
I try to dedicate a few days into each killer. Starting out with the blight was some of the most enjoyable time I've spent in this game. His power is just really fun to use, learning to use the power in chase wasn't frustrating, because I knew in only a few seconds, I'd get another chance.
As someone who actually just started playing a couple weeks ago, tbh my fav is easily the dlc killers (due too being a huge horror movie fan) but I was surprised at how fun and unique the DBD made killers are
For me characters like the nurse or spirit are way easier to use because you have huge advantages and most survivors don't even see you coming, you are literally invisible, the wraith makes too much noise when he goes out of stealth mode and is very slow, survivors have a chance to run, but nurse and spirit don't give any chance whatsoever, you just appear behind them and you have a free hit, the huntress is one of the best killers also, but it is also true that the first time playing as a killer or the first few hours you have to choose a more normal killer to get the hang of things and understand the mechanics, but i'd say play the first 4 hours with a normal killer and then jump directly to the spirit, otherwise you will start losing a lot and you will give up on playing killer, because normal killers don't really have the advantages that the nurse, the spirit or the huntress have
Its probably because o havent bothered to learn but nurse just isnt fun for me. Evwn if my dumbass does the teleport peopoerly, that being my only skill is boring. Much prefer stalking people as wraith and having them freak out around the bell or to place traps as Hag.
@@humanngan91 i guess, i know bubba and ghostface can be really strong if you llay them right but so can every other killer, other licenced characters such as myers and pig can also be really bad to play as. i know for the majority of licensed killers would be worth it to buy but not as well for beginners..
Too be honest, it would be best to start with a Killer you actually enjoy. Don't want to start with going straight to the hard killers just cause they have good perks. Start with something fun, and then start to slowly buy/unlock the perks you enjoy and expand the list of killers you're good at.
I just buy killers with knives except Clown I guess lol Legion and Ghostface while not having great perks for me (I really struggle in chases and Discordance is the only thing that helps me find anyone in early stage) are generally my favourite And I'll probably buy Wesker sooner than I'll decide to finally get Clown
For those wondering like I was: Green F: Free Killer Yellow L: Purchasable Licensed Killer Red L: Unavailable Licensed Killer. Purple D: Purchasable DbD Killer
@@sparky1282 that makes no sense as the yellow L makes way more sense as licensed and D stands for DLC. DLC killers are killers that aren't base game and you have to buy them with either shards or money.
My first killer was huntress, and I love her so much. Loved playing her, none of the other starter killers were fun compared to hitting hatchets. Second killer was Demo, I bought him just as the stranger things DLC was removed so, of course, I played him. Love my dog, he's great. Now I play Nemesis and some Pyramid head
Tip for new players: Do NOT play hillbilly first, While his mobility is very good, playing him very effectively requires the most skill (Besides Bubba)
His skin ceiling is definitely one of the highest, but tbh, he's not that hard to just pick up and learn the basics with. At low ranks you don't really need insane curves or cross-map saws, you can just loop normally and use the chainsaw for mobility, pallet breaking, etc.
@@squibbles_ where’s his house? He has a skin ceiling? You know I would think bubba would have a high skin ceiling. That’s kind of his thing right? Well I don’t know. But that’s pretty cool for hillbilly
@@Firezok If you are as bad as you make yourself out to be then chances are you aren't going against amazing survivors. Also 400 hours is not a beginners hours.
At this point I feel like Wraith's perks should just go into the common pool and he should get all new ones. He's the only killer I can think of whose perks do nothing to compliment his power or playstyle.
@@therebelofchaos1674yeah I think they were trying to go with “the basement has a lot of lockers. Go reload” for Territorial but idk abt the others (and I forgot the third one that isn’t Huntress Lullaby)
Hilariously, I started with Trickster. I just wanted to smack everyone and everything with a baseball bat, so I looked at all the killers to figure out if any of them had one. Then I saw Trickster. I unlocked the skin with the nicest bat and started playing him. And then I never used his power at all. I only used M1. I think playing with him like that was good practice. Moving to normal M1 killers was much easier, since I then had a speed boost and powers. And now I use Starstruck on pretty much every killer, in every loadout.
My personal first pickup was Ghostface, cause I wanted a character that was simple, but could be fun to master and get better at. Has a cool gimmick to the power, and the ability to make Dead by Daylight an actual scary game.
In my opinion the killers who are slightly below average are the most fun to play with, the best killers (in my opinion) are mostly just killers with really powerful abilities, the 3 best killers are killers that can transport, or move really fast, making really difficult for survivors to take distance. But any killer can be mastered.
I took the quiz and the three main killers it recommended me was Legion, Dredge, and Bubba all at around 925-900. I felt one of the only problems with tht quiz did not have anything related to gathering information with the killers abilities. Edit:i took it again and this time i said multiple powers with agressive as a secondary and got Dredge, Doctor, and plague. Which is more true to how i play.
Took the test and tried answering some differently... but my choices still led me to Hag, Spirit, and Trapper. Guess my next unlock will be Hag (975 compatibility)[!]
I own every killer, have been playing the game for years and almost have every killer perk unlocked I’m still gonna watch this, one does not simply not watch an Otz video, he keeps my will to play alive
I admit my first killer unlocked was Plague and that was more or less because i liked the aesthetic/theme of the killer. I also wound up playing a lot of Dredge when he dropped and still do because the builds for him are kind of neat because of how quickly he can travel the map.
I've been playing this game for a year and a half now (Huntress and Twins main) but I still love watching all of these informative videos talking about the different play styles each killer has. They're so fascinating, and it's just really awesome to watch someone talk about something that they love and know a lot about. Thank you Otz!
What I love most about Behavior is that they pump out so much content without addressing and fixing in game bugs that are literally game breaking. For example, on xbox, when facing The Dredge, lockers can still not be locked. Truly a game breaking aspect when facing a killer and a mechanic to counter it is literally still broken.
I was the masochist who started the game with Trickster, because I bought the game for him and I wanted to main him. If you're new, listen to otz and dont really start with him. I became a Trickster main, but it made me have such a hard time trying new killers. Im now a full on Trickster main with Legion being my secondary main. And my wildcard being Ghostface who has chaotic and unpredictable matches ranging from 4k to multiple 0K
@@mob6804 Not before Trickster. I only looked up Kpop after seeing this character. I do like to learn about the character and their culture when I like it. @FinestFantasyVI I'm a baby killer lol but I've tried wraith, billy, huntress, trapper, pretty much all the starting killers, as well as death slinger I would just get bullied every game then I bought trickster and got my first 4k ever every game I get at least 1 or more kills with him before I couldn't kill one person haha I actually enjoy him knives are kinda tricky to learn but I guess it's preference he's really fun tho and feels very oppressive with good perks imo
@@ejtj423 He's incredibly fun. But he is essentially the opposite of Nurse. He's a noob stomper and good against survivors who dont have a clue whats going on. But bad against people who know how to run loops tightly with big walls. Especially with MFT now which hurts because Trickster is slower than a base survivor when he has his knives out. Every knife matters and it can take you to 6 knives to down someone, or more if the meter decayed Nurse meanwhile is bad in low mmr because you're just learning a mechanically challenging killer while noob survivors know the basics and run. So she loses in low mmr, but crushes at top. Which is why Trickster and Nurse actually have similar kill rates last time that was shown. I taught a survivor how to play killer and my best choice is not Wraith or anything like that but Legion. Best noob friendly m1 killer
I mained legion for like the first year I played the game in around 2019, and when I say mained I mean *MAINED*. Literally played only legion for upwards of a whole year. I, personally, think it really helped me understand m1 chases and generally what to do in situations when your power can't help you get a down (or at least in situations where you aren't confident it will). I still don't think about tiles or mindgames that often, but at least I don't panic when I can't hit a tentacle or hatchet every once in a while.
A random thought: If Stranger Things actually comes back with a 2nd DLC, do you think they will keep Demo's and Steve/Nancy's perks free or make them unlockable through teachables again?
They did something similar with bill on console. Bill wasn’t in the game so all his teachables were accesible by everyone, then when he was released, you had to unlock it. Of course you kept the perks on characters you got it on before and after bill came to console. So i think there’s a good possibility
@@juiceplunger1255 I think they will stay available for everyone because while Bill was always free and when released on console was still free, Stranger Things was licensed and it would be a dick move for bhvr to make them restricted again since you would need to purchase them
if they were really smart, they would use the opportunity to design new perks and make those the new exclusive teachables. let everyone keep playing with jolt and give demo something new
@@haeilsey Knowing BHVR, it seems unlikely, but it would be neat at least if they made smth like "The Upside-down" versions of the perks. Jolt is M1s/Surge is Special Attacks, Fearmonger is Blindness+Exhaustion/Mind Breaker is Hindered+Deafened
So I've been playing since the Twins came out and I already had my heart set on Legion as my main. The reason is their appearance and cool factor. The whole strength of the Killer never mattered to me. The aesthetic is what pulled me in.
Agree, i love Susie xD Since the trailer came out i wanted to play as Legion just because i liked their style ^^ I love their new chase music and mixtapes.
i really wanna start playing as the pig. i like the stealth killer stuff and i also like the head traps, i think it could make for some really intense games. also i really like the movies
This was really helpful to me as a new killer main I'm planning to main legion btw and would love to see a good build for him, at the current moment I'm running monstrous shrine, bitter murmur and discordance and this is rlly helpful for a new legion player as my self but that is just my opinion and I know there are better starter builds then this
I started with Demogorgon 10 days before he became unobtainable and i had lots of fun with him. I really like his portals you can really pressure an area with them
A bit of my history, the first killer I bought was the Spirit, the second - Blight. The best decision in my life was that I immediately began to learn how to play killers who are able to withstand strong SWF. You will be insanely disappointed to learn how to play the Trapper or Wraith and eventually realize that it is absolutely useless if you do not play against new or solo players.
Wraith can do pretty good you just need to already be good at killer to make good use out of him. He has some pretty impactful addons and his stealth can be very useful. The biggest issue with many of the killers in the game is their map dependency. Spoken by a Wraith, Legion, and Artist main lol.
@@JudojugsVtuber Let's be honest, wraith will be destroyed by a good team even on Midwich with the best addons. But if you play on average mmr, then it's not bad at all. I wait 15 minutes for a killer game and 90% play either against a full team or against a cheater. The only maniac on which I feel confident on all the maps is a nurse. I tried playing Wraith a couple of times on my MMR with a spirit fury + enduring build and all I got was that the survivors predropped every pallet as soon as they understood my build.
@@0xEF666 I mean sure but the amount of times you run into comp SWF is super low most of the time. I run into 4 man stacks maybe one in every 15 games as killer. Also enduring spirit fury isnt how you should play wraith whatsoever. Enduring spirit fury is for killers like legion where they actively try to stun you. Because then they're in a "damned if you do damned if you dont" situation every time they're at a pallet. Either give me frenzy hit or take an actual hit. Just run shadowdance if you wanna tear through pallets. Fake the uncloak at the last second and they drop it 90% of the time even if they're good survivors. Also your MMR is different on each killer you play. Your mmr on Nurse vs Wraith is completely different. Also the only time wraith isn't good on midwich is with bad addons. Wraith's biggest weakness is being addon dependent and map dependent. Indoor maps should be a guaranteed 2k at least even against good teams. Especially now that spine chill is worthless.
Can confirm Pinhead as a good starter killer. Only somewhat difficult part about him is the Possessed Chain ability, but it's not that hard to find easy shots with it. Not gonna lie, his passive ability of occasionally sending chains after the survivors also helped me find them a couple times when I had no idea where they were.
Just took your trivia quiz and it gave me Huntress, Clown, Artist, and The Dredge. I'm assuming Huntress is the easiest to use out of those 4 so I'll start with her first. Thanks for this.
I chose characters with high speed like legion and oni. This is mainly because the idea of always having pressure in that chase sets the idea of “Im the killer, you cant run” is cool to me.
I think Spirit is the best beginner one. A beginner can play her and get kills. Even without proper mastery of her power, they can at the least use it to traverse the map quickly (like wraith) and play the chases like a regular m1 killer (like wraith). Then as a player learns the game they can learn to use her power to mindgame/track better/be a better killer overall. And she dosent fall off in red ranks like wraith does.
I picked up the game a week back and found myself watching all of your guides I'm currently playing plague a lot but started with sadako ty for the guide it helped tremendously
I am actually a Nemesis main, in my opinion he is really underrated because I almost always manage to get 4 kills and basically make everything dangerous. The Tentacle almost always just deletes the ability to be safe and untouchable. Also Nemesis is really fun and cool.😀
I would add that Opression from Twins is quite decent perk for both slowdown and information (especially early on when you play agains weaker players, so they might ignore randomly regressing gens or get surprised by difficult skill check and reaveal where they are). Overall very useful guide for new killers
My first main killer was hag because I enjoyed how she could shut down loops and how I had to be strategic with her traps to win. Then the game reached a point where killer became not fun for me. Now that I've somewhat come back, I've been enjoying artist. She has that same anti loop that I enjoyed about hag, but she has some help in chase that hag doesn't have (higher movement speed being the big factor). She also has a bit of everything I like: mobility (4.6 movement), anti loop, information and tracking, etc. I also think her birbs are cute
Crazy I just watched a year old video of yours about this same thing pretty much exactly 24 hours ago and decided to sub, very good timing on this new version for me
I already knew about most of this information, but I'm watching it anyway because I love listening to Otz's voice, and he knows so much about the game that I might learn something anyway.
i've seen it said before, but playing both Survivor and Killer are important. it's really good to learn Survivor Mindsets and which Loops they'll prefer on which maps, which generators some might spawn near according to where you spawn, etc. it'll also be important to think of stuff like 'Is this a Generator they'll get something like an Achievement for completing' might not always be a bigger component, especially with higher-ranked survivors who've already gotten it, but i know i wanna do stuff like finish gens that'll get me achievements.
First, thanks so much for keeping up with these tutorial videos when new killers come out, while I don't need them anymore, I am always finding new players in the streamer communities I frequent, so your videos are great to share with them. As for my thoughts, I honestly think Forced Penance is a very underrated perk. I run into bodyblocking bully groups all the time lately (I am a Legion main) so I run Forced Penance and they learn very quickly that body blocking is a very bad idea. Plus, if someone tries to unhook in front of your face before you even have a chance to leave the hook (happens to me ALL the time now with the basekit borrowed time) then you get a free broken status on whoever manages to get in the way of your swing. Plus, with its' 80 second duration but no cooldown... yeah. Very underrated.
I fell in love with this game and I’m a trapper main. Haven’t tried other killers and Im iridescent, (got there in 6days)He’s quite underrated and slept on. Thing is I could be so wrong but idk cause I’m new
Great Guide 😊 I'm more a survivor main but playing killer from time to time and for archives or dailys. It really helped me to understand killer better and get better as survivor. I started out with the Doctor and i love him. Great information, nobody likes facing him and i'm a little bit addicted to his giggles xD Shocking survivors is more fun i ever expected. Next Killer i tried and instantly fell in love with is Legion. I love the speedy playstyle, feeling like a survivor with a knife. Stabbing people ... i mean stabbing survivors is so much fun and honestly most of them hate facing a stabby legion so some will ran into you just to get that mending right out the way. My 3rd Killer i tried and loved from start is Spirit. I'm not good in tracking so i don't really care about the blindness due her phase, her sakura bloom add on is one of the nastiest and coolest i ever tried and i really love to scare people with her other purple add on wich makes every survivor hear her phase sound. I tried nearly every other killer at least once (except for Oni and Blight, i'm a console gamer xD) I really want to learn Nurse, but a baby nurse on console needs a lot more mental stability than my prescriptions can provide xD ...But this three (Doc, Legion, Spirit) are my "mains" and bring the most fun for me, i wouldn't say Doc is a beginner killer but i never regretted starting with him. Sidenotes - Pig was also really fun and i currently played Wraith a bit, the stealth feels really good.
I play this game since the beginning but I still enjoy this "explanation" videos from you even though I won't learn anything you. Amazing video for beginners
Ahh, now I know what M1 means. I have been playing this game off and on a lot over the years. Doctor use to be my main however when I came back a few months ago the game changed so much. I started playing tyrant and he was good as hell! The reason I picked Tyrant is that games end way too quickly. I like for the game to drag and have an opportunity to see survivors. Tyrant gets free information through his zombie hordes. Plus he can trade time for damage on pallets. When they drop a pallet I hit them with the tentacle. Then I break the palate with the tentacle as well. I play “The Enchantress” as well for a similar reason. She can infect gen and palates forcing survivors to worry about something other than gen rushing. Though I get that's the survivor's only objective and whole purpose. Sometimes on both these killers, I run “Franklin's demise” because I think it's funny. It cuts down on people being able to use the toolbox, medkit, and flashlights. Helping to slow down the game.
I honestly really like sadako, I don’t have many killers unlocked yet but what I’ve found I like best is high mobility. Before the ring dlc came out I played a lot of spirit, but switched to Sadako because I find her power much more interesting to use and while not often when I do get a grab with sadakos stealth it feels awesome.
I started off using executioner (Pyramid head) and it wasnt really that hard to learn how to use him. All it is, is slice, create trails, injure survivors with small-mid range, not really that hard to learn. In my opinion, it was pretty easy.

I agree Otz, everyone should start by buying Leatherface and face camping every match :) glad we can agree!
@@DeceptivePastry Almost every killer falls a little bit down in red ranks
@@BrunoHartmann- Yes, but Bubba felt almost OP (without camping) until you get into red ranks, where he really isn't. Doesn't fall off as much as Billy though, his chainsaw is so tough to use against good players.
@@DeceptivePastry The problem with Bubba is that it only takes one trick to turn him from a pallet eating menace into a putty tat with a chainsaw. I won't even say what it is because it is so simple. Don't give him ideas
Ignore peter, give him ideas.
This is Otz we're talking about, he just might do that
Damn bro you got alot of time of you want to watch smth like that
It's not that hard, first if you want to unlock and level up good perks then you should focus on the perk path no matter what. Always take the perk which has a better level than the other. Remember if you reach a perk level 3 you won't get it anymore therefore you'll get other perks on the bloodweb and have a better chance to have perk you want to appear.
I really wish every game had Otz in its community. Absolute legend.
@@dorthewerner6883 I so hate playing against the Dredge, even after dozens of hours that darkness + locker teleport makes me panic
@@markpozsar5785 I so hear you! Maybe you try to play the dredge as killer - you really understand then how it works.
Oh yeah, especially post rework

One tip for new killers: Don’t worry about who the best killer in the game is, play the killer you have the most fun with because in the end every killer can be really good in their own way with enough practice!!!
This is helpful advice for me because I really like the Trickster and am willing to sink a ton of time into a lower-tier killer in order to learn him bc I like his lore and playstyle a lot, plus Yun-Jin seems like a cool Survivor I can play if I decide to play as Survivor. Thanks!

As someone who actually just started playing a couple weeks ago, tbh my fav is easily the dlc killers (due too being a huge horror movie fan) but I was surprised at how fun and unique the DBD made killers are
For me characters like the nurse or spirit are way easier to use because you have huge advantages and most survivors don't even see you coming, you are literally invisible, the wraith makes too much noise when he goes out of stealth mode and is very slow, survivors have a chance to run, but nurse and spirit don't give any chance whatsoever, you just appear behind them and you have a free hit, the huntress is one of the best killers also, but it is also true that the first time playing as a killer or the first few hours you have to choose a more normal killer to get the hang of things and understand the mechanics, but i'd say play the first 4 hours with a normal killer and then jump directly to the spirit, otherwise you will start losing a lot and you will give up on playing killer, because normal killers don't really have the advantages that the nurse, the spirit or the huntress have
You can use add ons with the wraith to make him absolutely silent when he comes out of his cloaking in
I made a nurse just straight up stop trying to chase me
Bro won biggest comment wins
Its probably because o havent bothered to learn but nurse just isnt fun for me. Evwn if my dumbass does the teleport peopoerly, that being my only skill is boring. Much prefer stalking people as wraith and having them freak out around the bell or to place traps as Hag.

His skin ceiling is definitely one of the highest, but tbh, he's not that hard to just pick up and learn the basics with. At low ranks you don't really need insane curves or cross-map saws, you can just loop normally and use the chainsaw for mobility, pallet breaking, etc.

Every knife matters and it can take you to 6 knives to down someone, or more if the meter decayed
Nurse meanwhile is bad in low mmr because you're just learning a mechanically challenging killer while noob survivors know the basics and run. So she loses in low mmr, but crushes at top. Which is why Trickster and Nurse actually have similar kill rates last time that was shown.
I taught a survivor how to play killer and my best choice is not Wraith or anything like that but Legion. Best noob friendly m1 killer

A random thought:
If Stranger Things actually comes back with a 2nd DLC, do you think they will keep Demo's and Steve/Nancy's perks free or make them unlockable through teachables again?
They did something similar with bill on console. Bill wasn’t in the game so all his teachables were accesible by everyone, then when he was released, you had to unlock it. Of course you kept the perks on characters you got it on before and after bill came to console. So i think there’s a good possibility
@@juiceplunger1255 I think they will stay available for everyone because while Bill was always free and when released on console was still free, Stranger Things was licensed and it would be a dick move for bhvr to make them restricted again since you would need to purchase them

-Posted on a vid made by a Trapper main
The website to choose a killer and see the perks is so awesome man. I love the passion you put into this game
I’d love to see a “Best Build” for each killer. Though, I’m sure most- if not all of them would have the same two-or-so slowdown perks
Did the quiz after already having my solid mains, it picked my main 2 right at the top. Good work
I picked up the game a week back and found myself watching all of your guides I'm currently playing plague a lot but started with sadako ty for the guide it helped tremendously
I am actually a Nemesis main, in my opinion he is really underrated because I almost always manage to get 4 kills and basically make everything dangerous. The Tentacle almost always just deletes the ability to be safe and untouchable. Also Nemesis is really fun and cool.😀
hello otz this is friends, can you do a video were you play meta perks on killer since you did one on survivor.
thank you.
friends.
wait hag and doctor are free
For console pkayers
Step one:
Dont get killer main
Don't want anyone to have fun, including yourself? Main survivor. Meg is free!
i love how otz do this kind of videos even knowing mayority of his public are people that already own every killer
Crazy I just watched a year old video of yours about this same thing pretty much exactly 24 hours ago and decided to sub, very good timing on this new version for me
I picked ghostface to start off with, I love the stealth element and loved the idea of generator rotating rather than roaming.
This video has actually helped me a lot, I watched the video and did the test, I got Sadako. First time playing her and got a 4k. Thanks, Otz!
You... played music from Final Fantasy 12.
That's my favorite childhood game. Thank you!
I already knew about most of this information, but I'm watching it anyway because I love listening to Otz's voice, and he knows so much about the game that I might learn something anyway.
the amount of dedication that goes into these kinda of videos is insane and very much appreciated!
I have just started playing again and for me the best 2 I’ve used who I own are ghost face and bubba
LOL, I used your Whichkiller link and it actually landed me on Spirit and Ghostface which I was actually playing, pretty spot on.
i've seen it said before, but playing both Survivor and Killer are important. it's really good to learn Survivor Mindsets and which Loops they'll prefer on which maps, which generators some might spawn near according to where you spawn, etc. it'll also be important to think of stuff like 'Is this a Generator they'll get something like an Achievement for completing' might not always be a bigger component, especially with higher-ranked survivors who've already gotten it, but i know i wanna do stuff like finish gens that'll get me achievements.
Thing is I could be so wrong but idk cause I’m new
Me, who's been playing this game since flesh and mud (with a 2 year hiatus at some point) "hmm yes, interesting"
I tried nearly every other killer at least once (except for Oni and Blight, i'm a console gamer xD) I really want to learn Nurse, but a baby nurse on console needs a lot more mental stability than my prescriptions can provide xD
...But this three (Doc, Legion, Spirit) are my "mains" and bring the most fun for me, i wouldn't say Doc is a beginner killer but i never regretted starting with him.
Sidenotes - Pig was also really fun and i currently played Wraith a bit, the stealth feels really good.
Thank you for the quiz!! I knew the day he came out I was gonna be a Dredge main and now it's Verified👍
The test for your killer is actually really good my top 3 where 3 of my mains
Can we appreciate how Otz is one of the only wholesome killer mains around.
I started off using executioner (Pyramid head) and it wasnt really that hard to learn how to use him. All it is, is slice, create trails, injure survivors with small-mid range, not really that hard to learn. In my opinion, it was pretty easy.
