- Blender 4.3 BETA has arrived. And boy is it brimming with brilliant new geometry node goodness. Here's a short video I made about them - a brief walkthrough of what's hot and what's hotter this 4.3 season.

I love learning Geometry Nodes by the Stanley Parable's narrator
Man how the hell are you so underrated?
Your work is so amazing 🧡...like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Geometry Nodes😅
This is soooo well presented. How can I not like this!?
I love the way you presenting your topics! 😄
One of the most entertaining Blender channel. Not to mention, how valuable the information you present!
yo have to make a tutorial on how you animate your tutorials!
Yes please!
Oh look, the most underrated channel in the history of UA-cam is back.
I'll post this on Reddit and hope I can contribute a bit to your channel getting discovered by more Blender users.
Thank you as always!
I am already very curious to see what kind of new geometry-nodes based tools people are going to create with these gizmo nodes.
Great video as always! ❤
This channel deserves way more subs.
A hash function takes an input and produces a random *looking* output. A good hash function will make it difficult to reverse-engineer the input if someone only has the output value. However, the 'stable' part is that a given/matching input value will always produce the same output.
Sometimes hashes are used to generate a relatively brief identifier for a larger amount of input data.
The gizmo node is so cool
GIZMO'S holy glory, this is going to be awesome!! I'm going to update all my geonodes addons with them.
I've also been waiting for the For Each Element, that's going to speed up things so much. Was using the repeat zone for this before, but it was super slow because it wasn't concurrent.
Also love the iteration integer in repeat zones, setting up a manual iteration counter was annoying.
beautiful! * v * always a pleasure watching your videos. :)
Consistently informative and entertaining. Those iteration fields are going to make my various node setups way cleaner. Gizmos are a phenomenal idea - using empties for control rigs just wasn't doing it for me. Also really love grease pencil support! It's going to make various 3D to SVG art projects way easier
25 seconds in, and that audio is giving me serious "Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy" vibes. 🙂
Oh, fantastic, more new stuff thatll ill never manage to learn because its so overwhelming.
Harry Blends, you deserve a lot more attention. I know, I know, it's passion above profit, mind over matter.
2:07 Dave got annihilated lmao
Thanks a lot for the summary ! Also great humor ahaha
… but that one day is not today 😅👍🏻! The best way to present a progress as a pipeline;) nice animated trip between different nodes!
thank you for that. It's such a great skill to show this complex topic in an easy and fun way. So soothing for. the eyes and ears (and my brain)
Thank you for this information. Excited to see final release of Blender 4.3. ❤
Brilliant, as usual!! A pleasure to watch.
So many great updates in 4.3. Incredible how far Geometry nodes came over since they were introduced.
Damn that was so sick and informative excellent job on the explainer!
Love the Bridgerton reference that you snuck in there.
I didn't know that bakewell tarts were a big Bridgerton thing until I read this comment. Becasue they're a big Harry thing
amazing, thanks for this.
5:53. Yes...! This is my kind of warning...! 🙂👍
You deserve much more
I love your content! I’m trying to learn blender and am amazed by the power of nodes 🤩. All your stuff is so clean and funny, I wish I could listen to you read a children’s book.
This is lovely! Thank you!
Excellent as ever!
Thank you!
Gizmo nodes are something we didn't know we needed. That is going to be a game changer !!!!!
Yep. A really significant addition. Tactile proceduralism
@@harryblends I initially used empties as controllers for viewport editing but now this is perfect. I think finally putting focus back into viewport editing is super important and gives artists more flexibility and control instead of trying to change number sliders all the time
Already and such amazing editing
Quality content as usual
GIZMO NODE???? EXCUSE ME WHAT???🤯
Thank you
Awesomeness good weird sweet melting brain vibes taking smooth distance on the topics of serious 🧐 stuff not being taken tooooo seriously :))) this is great 😊🎉 thank you ;))
Also I was surprised to realize the gizmo nodes are currently only in modifier mode of gemoetry nodes and they're not available in tool GN which is what I originally imagined them to be used for primarily , as it made sence to me since the lack of variety of interaction with GN tools is quite apparent I think.
After watching these videos, I use them for meditation.
Amazing Video Graphic!!!
Thanks!!!
god of geometry nodes
I really love the warnings. I design asset libraries of nested parametric objects and need the warnings to help guide the less Blendery folks. I think the culture around here demands I make a version of your "WHAT ON EARTH..." warning message :-)
Ha. Yes. I think the warnings are a really important thing for shared assets. Which are a profoundly important thing for blender (and the experience of using/learning blender) as a whole. It's the kind of addition that will quickly feel like its always been there
this might be a silly question, but how did you animate all these boxes and arrows? Is it a combination of screen recording individual bits, and then animating on top in AE..?
As a Dave, I find this post offensive. I have my own couch, at my mom's house
Ummm, don't you mean Gremlins? Splash was about a mermaid. 🤔
Still, I love these videos...very informative and helps me keep up-to-date with the numerous improvements continuing to adorn Blender.
I looked away for a minute and they've added all these new weirdly connected nodes? D=
I was scared of them at first but it's all very logical once you get noodling. But maybe don't look away again because there's only so much we can handle at once
I couldn't think of anything witty to say, but I wanted to leave a nice comment for the algorithm to munch on (and for that jab at Crypto-Dave, honestly, such a dingus)
Dave is ok, its just his segway is ruining the carpet
I'd switch all that for a Bevel node... but look! Grease pencil nodes!
True, though there's some new magic cooking for the bevel modifier
can you make a video on how you make these videos, they are amazing
Woah how'd you make the nodes animation they look amazing
If I had money to spare I would spend it on your patrion.
Wow.
THIS IS GRRRRRREAT
Hi, I have been following your tutorials from long, they are great. I wanted to understand...
1. Which is more easy or beneficial creating things directly with Geometry nodes? or using Python scripts to make geometry nodes?
2. Can we create every geometry node with Python? or are there limitations? It yes, then isn't it better to create Geometry nodes directly? as they as visual way of programming? Rather that coding them in Python and then using them? I really wanted to understand if Python based Geometry nodes helps something extra... I tried to search answers on internet but in vein.
Thank you.
Tell me you're in fact Wheatley from Portal², back from the moon!
I'm Harry from my house, back from the pub
@@harryblends cheers mate!🙌
What ever did the circle group do to you?
You cannot just offhandedly mention a man arguing with a squirrel and then just end the video. That's unfair!
I know. And it's a GREAT story too
Can we expect all of these to actually make it into the final 4.3?
I've been making these New Node videos since 4.1 (in fact I usually done them slightly earlier mid ALPHA) and, as far as I can recall, everything I've covered has made it into the release versions. Actually there's usually a little bit more
@@harryblends That is good to know, thanks! I seem to recall playing with some SDF volume geometry nodes once in a 3.x pre-release that disappeared, but maybe it was an early alpha
❤❤❤
Wow dude
Thanks dude
Quick question, why is there an output Boolean noodle to the Warning Node? Wouldn’t it be exactly the same state as the noodle input?
I tripped over this too. From the commit -
"For more fine-grained control for when the `Warning` node should be evaluated,
one can use the boolean output which is just a pass-through of the `Show` input.
If this output is used, the `Warning` node will only be evaluated if its output
is used."
Which suggests its like a dead man's handle allowing you to stop the warning from evaluating if there isn't a valid geometry output
I am not understanding blender rotation it is seems like when I rotate in x axis the object rotate in y axis and when I ratate in y axis the obj rotate in x axis. I am not understanding the rotation.
No relations with Harry Styles.
🤖👻👽 . Thanks! ❤
comment for youtube thing
it's bitcoin, not crypto.
I'm starting to think that Dave is lying to me
These videos should not be this funny
I'll have a word with managment
