In my opinion, starting with version 4.2, the developers have ruined the well-functioning EEVEE render settings - Shadows, Ambient Occlusion and Bloom. Previously, I could select the maximum shadow map in 4K, and they looked good enough at any distance. Now I have to be content with the "update", and in the new settings, with any parameters, I can see noticeable shadow steps if the object is too far from the "convenient" distance for their better rendering. It is now unclear how to adjust Ambient Occlusion. I definitely cannot make it many times darker than the new settings offer. Bloom can now only be obtained through compositing, and even then, personally, I have not yet had any result like before by default. Personally, I am staying on 4.1, because I still do not use most of the new functionality, and I mostly do modeling.
would love it if, for the areas, when the user is creating a new one, they make the shade green instead of grey which is hard to see. and then when getting rid of an area, they shade the window that will disappear instead of the window that is kept and they made that shaded red.
One bug I hope they'll adress is keymap duplication (multiples of the exact same operator/keynap). Also lingering keymaps from uninstalled addons is annoying. Wish that was made impossible from the core-side of Blender.
I didn't get 4.2 because my 4.0 work opened up all broken, mostly lights because of Eevee next. Curious if that's fixed or if I need to wait and finish my current project on 4.0 and switch to 4.3 when I start the next one. Gonna try it now and reply to this comment with what happens.
What happened to Blender in the last months ? Last updates were pure trash, nothing special at all. Who needs updates for brushes or GrEAsE PeNcIL ? Cmon guys

What version were you on? 4.1? The biggest change in 4.2 was Eevee.

Nope still busted. Best to wait until the official any way. Curious to find out what's changed that makes the lights look so different.
