One of my dreams as a child was to have a dragon that could fly like this, it's magical to see it actually flying around. Really incredible job engineering the mechanics too.
Thank you.
@@BZH07614 Sound system able to be included? That way the dragon could roar and drown out the machine noise.
@@BZH07614 incredible work.
@@KonichiWawa my guess, added weight would be required for sound loud enough, impeding flight
@@acousticpineapple7851 Thank you.
Flying dragons next to a nuclear plant - that's the beginning of every Japanese Godzilla movie :D
It is a thermal power station.
Didn't expect to see you here Anton. I love the videos you've been uploading from time to time hopefully more people get interested in science such as space science.
Hello Anton , This is Wonderful person .
haven't got a verification mark , seriously?
Lol
This has to be among the most beautiful ornithopters there are. The movement of the wings is mesmerising. It 'looks' to handle beautifully too, but that might be the pilot's skills making it look easy. Congratulations from me too Mr Kakuta. Brilliant model engineering.
Thank you.
@@BZH07614 How can I order one?
It's a brilliant mechanism engineered.
Congratulations 🎊
Est-ce que tu pourras me le donner
S'il te plaît
This thing is just absolutely amazing.... just the way it moves through the sky looks so anatomically accurate
Thank you.
Truly outstanding engineering, artistry, and craftsmanship!
Thank you.
That's simply amazing Mr Kakuta. Congratulations.
Thank you.
i wonder if people realize what a remarkable accomplishment this is, others have tried replicating the Mechanism of Flight Flapping without any success, this is truly amazing....
By far the best ornithopter I have ever seen. Really awesome. Congratulations!
Thank you.
Exactly the sounds a baby dragon would make if it was first learning to fly.
You are a lucky guy because you have heard the dragon voice
@@niZSonovski This is the power of imagination my friend
@@thatfireinside1106 this is the power of two black and red mushroons
Bravo! Incredible flying.
I built an ornithopter when i was 14. It flew so well, far better than i would have expected.
It made me aware of an alternative to rubber powered long distance aircraft.
Thank you. I am grateful.
Thank you.
One of the most interesting RC things I have seen! Very beautiful movement in the air, it has the grace of an animal in motion. Amazing work!
Thank you.
To see a flapping wing design actually working is nothing short of astounding! Thanks for sharing this.
Thank you.
Very cool!
Thank you.
Beautiful design, impressive mathematics, engineering and aeronautics. A dream of flight. Congratulations, Mr. Kakuta
Thank you.
Your design is amazing 👏 I can imagine the effort you put into the gearbox assembly and using the 2212 size motors with it is just genius!!
Thank you.
Daijobu! Cool to see that people in Japan invent unexpected things in a culture where only repeating old tradition is stimulated!
Thank you.
I bet people look twice when they see this dragon coming. Well done!
Thank you.
make it thrice.
This is fantastic build, excellent model! Frighten every bird around away and started a legend among them to never return to the place mighty flying dragon.
Make one that breathes fire now!
Thank you.
Fantastic. Great job on construction and design. I hope plans will be available in the future, I'd love to build my own. Thanks for posting your progress!
Thank you.
Years ago i had the idea of using a motor with a cam to deform a rubber tube from the inside repeatedly as a way to cause attached wings to flap, rather then gears to cause the articulation. Never developed it. Just a thought. Great demonstration! Wonderful!
Thank you.
He needs to fly this straight into a schoolyard and watch all the kids run in panic and joy
Glad I saw this on UA-cam first , I have been expecting the Apocalypse any day now , and seeing this would have sent me straight to the bunker !
Oh imagine how it would look if it was painted
I need one of these in my life. Please make it big enough to ride on so I can avoid all car traffic and look like a baller doing it. Thanks.
Well done! I'm curious of the power usage vs a traditional prop and flight time etc... looks like a great design though.
Thank you.
WOW...A Dragon Drone..
How incredible..
Absolutely Amazing
Thank you.
Amazing, thanks for sharing. Please do a video of the flight mechanism, brilliant engineering!
Thank you.
Absolutely beautiful! Form and function in balance as they should be.
Thank you.
Excellent project, flys really well.
Thank you.
I really respect people like this. Really cool sir
Thank you.
This is going to give someone a heart attack after seeing dianasour flying by his head
Баловство конечно, но выглядит прикольно! Уважение мастеру.
Thank you.
Amazing craftsmanship....this could easily evolve into a pelican, sooty albatross or storm petrel.......
Thank you.
A dragon is more unique.
I must admit I admire this work
Thank you.
If you paint the dragon's body color black and fly it in the evening near Castelul Bran in Europe, it will be a big fuss.
Respect to the man trying to fly and film at the same time
Thank you.
Видно что за основу движений брал какую то чайку =) На замедленной сьемке выглядело круто, но чтобы в реале такое было надо крылья увеличивать
Amazing! Mother Nature, Leonardo Da vinci, and other ornithopter enthusiasts from the past to the future would be proud
Thank you.
That's very good! I can definitely see a model like that being used in a movie...without the boingdi-boingdi sound of course. Amazing accomplishment though!
Thank you.
I want to make one like this for my nephew. maybe a little smaller. so awesome thanks for the share!
I'll freak-out if I'm gonna see this flying around my window at night...
Especially If Your Stoned!
You'll likely hear it before you ever see it.
@@ominous-omnipresent-they And the sounds will be like: "Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! Yo ee! " LOL
Congratulations Mr Kakuta you are an artist & a skill engineer..
That's awesome ..
Dan from Paris - France.
Thank you. Dragon72-2 lives in France now.
@@BZH07614 Welcome in France mate
Bienvenue et attention au Covid 19..

Beautiful! A pleasure to watch flying. I guess you'll be developing and improving the mechanism so please provide video of any updates. Just a thought, could the directional control surfaces be motorized too to provide more lift and control?
Thank you.
Thanks for the contribution🙏🇫🇷from France
Thank you.
Sounds like a bird, flies like a bird, but it's a dragon. Just needs a flamethrower now.
That is amazing. Wonderful craftsmanship, engineering and imagination.
Thank you.
Now to scale it up and add a flamethrower. Yes, I'm an American.
Then add a .50 cal on it.

I was thinking the same thing. How big does it need to be that i can ride on it like in how to train your dragon?
This is inspiring. I am going to follow your steps and hopefully be able to replicate what you've done. Thank you so much for sharing
Thank you.
Noisy but it flies so gracefully, beautiful. Now all it needs is an awesome paint job with greens, yellows, and browns and a flame thrower. Do you have any Dragon eggs yet that you would sell?
Thank you. The four young dragons flew away.
Now there is not an egg.
Is it possible to us to have the blueprint or design you've made?
@@jstrndm945 Please look 9:30 in ua-cam.com/video/S8Ih3Mou0z4/v-deo.html
This is absolutely amazing, congratulations.
Thank you.
That's *AWESOME!* 😆💛
Thank you.
My kids would love this OMG this is so cool.
Thank you Mr Kakuta
Thank you.
Amazing. Strap one to my back and let’s go!
Thank you.
It's amazing that it simulates a real animal so perfectly, that I begin to wonder if it's hunting for food, then I remember it's only an illusion!
Thank you.
Splendid! ready to spit fire!
Boy, this is amazing but at the same time, it just proves how super hard is to emulate the flight of birds.
Yeah, we're not going to easily emulate something evolution took tens of thousands of years to perfect :)
Amazing!
Thank you.
That looks so organic, scary and cool!!! now make it spit fire!!!
Thank you.
Paint it green and add fire breathing feature.
That was my first thought!
As what you'd expect always, great things coming out of Japan.
Thank you.
now put a can of lighter fluid inside and make it breathe fire and you've got yourself a dragon here my guy
Its BEAUTIFUL!!! Flies like I imagine a dragon should fly!! Kudos, sir, Very well done.
Thank you.
Oke dont let my son see this..., hes gonna cry and ask for me to make this
Damn! And that's just a copy of a small dragon. Imagine how people living in the middle ages felt back when dragons weren't extinguished? How did they cope living in such fear?
he reminds me of an older data from the goonies lol...
unbelievable , domo arigato gozaimas Mr. Kakuta. I see lot of RC Plances, but this is stunning.
Arigatogozaimasu. Thank you.
Леонардо Да-Винчи плакал бы от счастья.
Thank you.
Brilliant. I have never seen such an "animal looking" flying machine. You have re-made nature. I also thought perhaps it could be deep-fried at the end. Seriously, job well done, Sir!
Thank you.
Жутковатое зрелище!
ты чего, крутой ведь дракон)
The coolest dragon ever ! well done
Thank you.
delightful creature and so cool engineering as well, congrats!
Thank you.
Not sure how I got here but I'm now subscribed. Old man with a waist tripod filming is dragon. Regular channel pickup
Making dreams reality excellent job !!!
Thank you.
This is actually awesome. Well done sir!!!
Thank you.
need to turn this into a movie, its looking great.
Thank you.
I haven't ever seen a dragon But this one really looks like one! Great work
Thank you.
OOOOOOLL WHAT a spectacle !!! It would be perfect for spying with a camera on it, but with the noise it would ruin the disguise hahahaha
Thank you.
WOW, now that’s some great engineering!!
Thank you.
Congratulations! My gawd that's a job well done.
Thank you.
wow. looks awesome. didn't know this was even possible. even though an arm broke, it is amazing that these lightweight materials can withstand the forces. i guess it was quite a process to find the right components?
Thank you.
Amazing work of art!
If you could make him lift his wings a little slower than he lowered them, it would be natural and perfect!
Thank you.
Salute to your marvelous effort. Respect!
Thank you.
Incredible. Nice build.
Thank you.
Beautiful Kakuta san, hope this adds inspiration to what you do.
Thank you.
Thank you for showing us this!
Thank you.
You, Sir (Kazuhiko Kakuta), are the stuff dreams are made of.
Thank you.
Nice! Your project is brilliant. Congratulations.
Thank you.
Thank you. I do not measure Wing loading.
Brilliant!...Good work Kazuhiko!
Thank you.
Congratulations Sir!!! What a great job.
Thank you.
awesome job .you most be very proud of your flying dragon
Thank you.
Take a good care of your Dragon72-1, so It won't get attacked by eagles and crows .Thank you so much for your effort .
Thank you.
Hi, Can you just put brushless motor at the back? just to make fast fly higher, one it up the sky then fly it using flap wing.. it will more fun flying it. Thanks for sharing the nice RC video.
Nice job
and now I know how sounds a real flying dragon :D
Very cool
I follow you from Egypt 🇪🇬❤❤
Thank you.
I've designed a lot of different aircraft, this is just way cool, especially in slo-mo!
