id create two more versions of this. One would be solar powered, to fly indefinitely. And other one would be remote controlled. Imagine if you could control this bird for like 30 mins or so, that would be insane project. Much more fun the plane.

I've just realized that I don't understand how this sort of flapping motion generates lift at all. The wings are moving up and down in the air. Why does this move the body more up than down?
The front is rigid and the back the plastic membrane is loose. The flaping up and down isn't moving air up down, more like pushing air backwards like a fish tail moving side to side to propel it forward in the water, or a paper hand fan pushes air to your face when you move it side to side or up and down.
