Last years champion budle was recorded to get around 40mil$ (which is fcking alot of money from a bundle), so the teams were there 8 or 10 teams, Actually got around 5mil free money from the tournamnet, thats how riot differs from other games. The real numbers for the average Saudi are much worse.

I listen to music made by some terrible artists/people. I will watch an event that is built on the backs of disgusting civil rights violations. The multiple games and getting to review my favorite teams in each of them, watch my favorite players interact with each other, *and* watch my favorite games played at the highest level is impressive. @@xroyal2179 Youre right in saying the issue isnt necessarily "just taking oil money" But by saying that youre not taking into account the issues in how oil is extracted. The supply chain, the cheap migrant labour force, human rights violations ect.
In an ideal world where Saudi oil is produced without exploiting labourers, destroying the environment. People wouldnt complain. But we dont live in that world.
I dont see many esports tourneys funded by US state programs like this Saudi one is, and even if they did fund one, the economy isnt reliant on involuntary servitude from third world migrant workers like Saudi Arabias is. I never said the US were saints, but compared clearly average us working conditions are alot better

But in terms of Esports in general, League > Every other Esports game in the world. Simple as that, lol and cs has dominated the Esports scene for so long and it will never change, league ofc even more. Remember, there are a lot of things happening behind the scenes, you could say that other games have "higher prize pool" its true only if you watch the prize pools. But riot owns league and because the teams compeating in the major regions are franchising teams so the 8 teams compeating, riot owns those teams technically and Saudis had to pay way way more money to riot to even get the teams to play in saudis, then there were problems that saudis had to buy the riot serves to be used in "4 days event". It is rumored ofc no one but Saudis and riot knows the real number but it was rumored that Saudis payed something like 10-20mil to riot to even get them to play here. And then there is the 1mil prize pool just to "look good". Ofc everyone knows that if we think of Esports as numbers League will always be number one, it hasnt changed in 12 years, it wont change in another 12 years.

Its hard to make a mobile game as good as a PC game for various reasons (limited controls, limited resource allocation, lower screen size so graphical and resolution restrictions, need to optimize more heavily around power consumption)
