I now use Solar/Eco drive only precise timing no adjustment on time yet after 7 months of use. I had over 26 Watches mostly Mechanical. Gave most of them away to the family. Some needed repair and no spare parts were available. All well-known Swiss brands, Japanese and 1 German brand. Now I'm 75 years old I want convenience! I went down the rabbit hole and it was fun for a while.
Tsoyosa has to be on there, especially with the range of colours, dials and the fact that it rivals the PRX for less than half the price of the powermatic 80... that yellow, orange or even the OB are the pics especially for summer ☀️ great pics regardless Russell and my preference would be either seikos or the timex Q chrono...its beautiful 😍
Didn’t like the feel or finish to the one I had hold of. PRX was vastly superior and that’s saying something!! It’s a Citizen cash cow that has been milked already more times than the Nesquick bunny!!!

You're missing one of the most exciting watches to have come out in a long long time: Momentum UDT. Heritage, analog-digital, slim, small lug-to-lug, sapphire, ceramic bezel, SOLAR. It really is a no-brainer!
I just picked up a Momentum M50 Mk II yesterday. While at the shop I got to try the UDT: it is extremely nice. Sadly, it was a display model only.

Man, what a great recommendation! I’ve always looked for a solar day-date diver not bigger in size than the skx.
Casio Duro is my favorite budget friendly watch, but the Citizen field looks good and Timex Q is classic

Great video Russ! I am sorry to hear the current Citizen BN050 bracelets are not great. I have the older Citizen BN050 on a bracelet and it is a quality item. Solid links and end links and the milled scissor fold over + button security clasp has a milled on-wrist adjustable dual button actuated/ratcheting divers extension that extends in 2.5mm increments to about 20.5mm. The clasp is amazing and solid, so much better than Seiko stamped divers extension clasp. The perfect fit over minor wrist swelling, a wet suite/dry/exposure suit or even a big jacket! The bracelet is not for everyone with male end links, single links and stamped clasp cover that saves weight on a heavy bracelet but its the best bracelet I have and I wish more watch bracelets had this kind of clasp!
BN0150, not BN050.
I guess Russ never handled that bracelet, it’s excellent for the money.

Not a bad list.
My favourite Casio watches would be the A1200, A1100 and especially the A1000 (got three of them myself).
I also have an Invicta Pro Diver (40mm) - I might even order another Invicta some day, if I come across something, that makes sense to me.
For something I don't have (and neither does Jomashop), I might consider an AVI-8.
I've never seen the clear gray G-Shock 6900. That one is really cool.
I have both entry-level Citizen ProMasters, EcoDrive and auto, in basic black. Great watches, and together, they cost roughly $320. I'll add the Seiko SNKL 23J.
Definitely should have an Oceanus on here, either the S100 or T200. Not just best watch under £300 but just possibly best watch. 😉
The Seiko SRPK13K1 Regatta Timer on Jomashop is one I’ve just got for my upcoming birthday. Looks and feels twice the price. Lovely. 😊👍👍👍
I liked my Citizen BN-0150 so much, that I bought the BN-0151 (blue face) as well. Great starter watches. Great values.
I literally just received the Seiko Chronograph only diff was mine is silver with black subdials.....I think I paid 140 - I really love the look of this watch and it feels great... For the price I was super impressed with the look and feel. definitely value for money.
Citizen Weekender eco-drive is a great one too

I'm a Seiko and Casio guy when it came to budget watches. Recently I tried Citizen for the first time. A Promaster Eco-Drive and a Tsuyosa. Both great watches but I did change the cheap uncomfortable rubber strap on the Promaster with a better strap.
If you're going G-Shock I would have to say the GW5000u-1ER offers everything you need in a premium (for Casio) package, all for 200 quid. Your review was spot on, and resulted in my first G-Shock pickup.
Not from joma shop, but atm my favourite watch under £300 is M-HKR, that I just got yesterday. Great watch, mate 👍🏼
The SRPK67K1 is perfect for a bavarian brewery, still very pretty though.

citizen tsuyosa persoanlly one of my faves as it was baught as a gift coming out of surgery about 2 month ago. But i have a good range of budget watches anyone can admire such as my casioak in the black blue. Im going on to buy myself a casio A163A tomrrow after watching your review. I would also like to mention my surgery, ive been recovering for a while and watched a fair few of your vids during this time and just want to say thanks for the content. It has helped.
The Timex Chrono is a great recommendation
I find it hard to go past the SNXS series. I picked up an SNXS75K1, silver dial, gilt hands and markers for a tick over the Aussie equivalent of £100 from an Aussie grey market dealer on their eBay store. Absolutely lovely watch and even though it’s smaller than many of my watches I really love the understated elegance of it!
Any plans to do a video on purchasing watches from different cuntries and the portential hidden costs such as ebay charges a tax. This seems to be a mystery to most and it either prevents people making purchases or catches people out. Just a thought. PS love the channel mate.
I think it’s duty free betweeen 40-135 pounds in the UK . 29% over it.

The SRPK67K1 is known to the community as a Rally Diver, and is a reissue of the vintage 6106-8229 Rally Diver from the late 60s/early 70s.
Victorinox Field force GMT is just under $300 and it has 100m WR

Hmm still thinking about the Rangeman GW9400! No Multidate but absolute beater with some great functionality. Do you find it wears better than the GMW-B5000D-1?
Considering that at under A$500 also.. would have to be a lot more careful with it but both great in their own right..

Of course you're too modest to mention your own watch, the Mad Hacker, so I'll do it for you. I've been wearing mine for a week now and I've noticed the way the numbers are oriented towards the middle of the dial. Looking at the seven other watches I own with Arabic numerals they are all oriented down so they are always the "right" way up. Seems you've done something quite out of the ordinary. Intentional?
I would rather find the extra £50 and buy a Casio full metal G-Shock AKA the Casio GMW-B5000D-1ER for £350
There is no easy way to say this but it is light years better than any of the watches here.

I'm genuinely impressed with how close MaMaCoo were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
Don't assume the Swiss aren't an option I've bought two Tissot (and nearly a third) and an Alpine from Jomashop in the past couple of years. All quartz but also all with sapphire and they were between just over $100 and $200. All in original boxes and rapid shipment - slows down when it reaches England of course .

You missed nearly the entire Orient Dive watch line; the Kanno, the Kamasu V1, V2, V3, the Mako III, the Mako 40, the Mako Chrono, the Triton and the M Force.

Orient Mako 3 Chrono in Panda. It has a Daytona vibe but uses a diving bezel instead of a tachy. Who uses that anyway? I use a diving bezel every time I wear one.
Have you ever stumbled upon the Casio LCW-M100TSE-1AER. Ti Sapphire, solar, atomic....it's one of the best watches ever made....and sub £200.
I like grey market dealers for great bargains. I looked at their website. I'm not seeing my next watch. I want a Titanium Casio Lineage solar Wavecepter. They appear to be JDM (Japanese domestic market) only.
That last Seiko diver gives me a headache. 😂

The Casio 9400 is the real deal when it comes to a 'do all' G-Shock for outdoor adventures on the land and sea. I've had on since 2012 and it's still going minus the band which eventually gave out. It's been hunting, fishing and diving all over the world. It's been exposed to both temperature extremes, salt and fresh water at depths up to 168 feet, blood and a variety of chemicals. Nothing stops it. While current tech has surpassed it, for $195 USD it can't be beat (literally).
Casio Duro £50 with 200m or WR (especially as it's good enough for Bill Gates)

I got the quartz version of the Hack for a bit less than £100. Very nice.
No disrespect to your choices or channel Russ but not seeing anything best in there, think many could be sourced cheaper in the UK without paying any import tax without searching too hard, but nothing to get excited about, a few classics of yesteryear, allot of Hardlex and again no mention of what you really can get for your money if your not a brand snob, but hey this is your channel.

Does this highlight how insane we may be spending many hundreds or thousands on watches when here are 10 great, well made timepieces that will be impeccably reliable and very well built. I love my SRGP29 and feel ashamed that I haven't worn it at all since I had the Seiko GMT when that came out a few months ago. The Citizen quote "only company that can make a complicated dial look boring" was priceless. Just looking at my GMT now, should I get the SRPG29 out of the safe?...hmm maybe tomorrow lol.
