- Hello everybody!
Today I want to share with you a video about my last trip to the Adriatic Sea. Together with a friend of mine, Thomas, we went to fish for Red Scorpionfish, Red Porgy and other species. However, we didnt know that during this time of the year the sharks gather in groups and come close to the shore....

Even though the catch is not as you expected, the footages are amazing. I am not sure which one is crazier, the shark one or the scorpion fish one (which is, by the way, way over 2kg for sure). It is so unfortunate your buddy didn't realise the shark is on that soft plastic, what a fight that would be...

thank you very much for your comment and the positive feedback! Ive watched your vids for years now. It was a crazy weekend and a lot of sharks, much more than I usually encounter there. Yes, a pity that we didnt get the big shark, would have been fun for sure. The skarpina still hurts a little, we tried so hard to get one but only had the one on cam. Fortunately the next weekend the situation changed and I got a few of them and of course recorded it all so expect a new vid next weekend.

@Rybak Markus for škarpina, you guys need to drift more. In most of the footage, you are almost not drifting at all (I don't know if you anchored). For skarpina you just need to drift around as they don't like to go far from their holes and hiding places, you need to come to them.
However, floating around our beautiful Adriatic is a privilege even if sometimes you don't catch what you expect 😁

Which speed of drift would you suggest?
@T. M. it is hard with more than 1kn, but anything less is more than good. Just don't anchor and if there is no heavy wind, you will go 0.5-0.7kn and that is perfect. If there is wind, then you can buy "olujno sidro" to slow your drifting down. I have no idea how do they call it in English 😅
Hi. Thanks for this info. I thought it is better to anchor because the skarpina will not be so fast to reach the bait. But when you say 0,5-0,7kn is good, I will try it.

Ohne die Cam würde man so viel verpassen 😅 dass war ja ja echt nen odentlicher drachenkopf wusste gar nicht dass die sich auch mal bewegen können 😂. Auf was für ne größe würdest du den dornhaischätzen ?(war doch einer oder )?
Vielen Dank! Ja, dürfte ein Dornhai sein und ich glaube der war schon weit über einen Meter. Aber laut Wiki werden sie nur 120cm, daher schätze ich auf 119cm! Haha

Ist das was ihr immer auf den Haken gebt Tintenfisch? Würd auch gern mal mehr fangen und das erhöht glaub ich die Chancen um einiges.
Ja, Tintenfischstreifen aus Kalamari und Sepia. Man kann aber auch Sardinen und/oder Shrimps rauf tun. Hauptsache da riecht was gut und die Fische lassen dann auch nicht so schnell ab wie wenn es nur Gummi ist.

Hey! There are over 30 fish species, I cannot write the minimum sizes for every one of them. You can Google that all. Tight lines

A mačka is called catshark on english because it is a member of the shark family.
