  • Once again we're cutting it close trying to wrap things up in prep for Round #3 at Dutch Sports Park with District 14 ATV XC. Little guy gets some new gear for his Stacyc racing and we have some issues when trying to "tune" suspension on the Honda TRX450.

I don't use a chain tool. I grind the pin flat with the link and use a hammer and punch. Learned it from an old man that worked on conveyor belts at a factory.

I’ve tried it both ways over the years and can’t really say which I prefer. Chain tool works great when it actually works but feel like half the time I’m fighting it more than anything. lol

Get yourself a Honda and it will! 😂 Just kidding. Believe me it’s a constant battle to keep her running as well as she does. The wind blows and air/fuels are off. Carb life!

What suspension do you recommend for a 2013 trx450er for xc

Depends on your budget really. A lot of great companies out there. As for A-Arms I would suggest Houser or Teixeira Tech. As for shocks Fox and Axis seem to be the favorite amongst most XC riders, your choice on springers or air shocks. I personally use Fox Float front shocks with Laeger XC arms, Hess GT Thunder linkage in the rear combine with a Fox Podium X shock and love that setup however switching to Houser arms for this coming season.
