    I can’t believe I finally found a video of this race! lol that’s me hating my life @13:35 that track was ridiculously narrow, to the point it wasn’t even fun to ride. I pretzeled a tie rod about 10 minutes in but managed to limp it back.

      A lot was learned on that day 😅 if I would have had a mic on you would have heard it in my voice after the first corner. After 2-3 practice days playing with the set up. I gave in and took the shocks off to be sent out. They found this bike was set up for 230ish lbs 🤦‍♂️ I’m 165 so that’s why it was pushing so hard and overshooting every corner.

    Badass build. I love the graphics, who made them? How do you like that blue/yellow Flexx elastomer combo for XC riding?

      Hey, MXpro decals does all of my graphics. So far so good with the blue/yellow on this build 😎 other builds I use red/yellow though.

    How do you like those BNR springer shocks? Have you compared them to ELKA's?

    • @limitlesspowersports
      @limitlesspowersports  2 роки тому +1

      Hey, I have 1 race and 3-4 practice rides on them now. Still fine tuning but no complaints 👍 I can only really compare them to fox floats or my ktm ohlins that have been done by rocket ron. I would say the BNR do the same or better, and have little bit more adjustability to them.
      The rear stock shock that was revalved I couldn’t get to do what I wanted. So I sent rocket ron a fox podium piggy back to set up for me.

    Do you have to use the clutch when you shift up and down?

      I only use the clutch for high speed upshift. So launching off the line or in an OS situation I will grab it as an override

    • @Factory43R
      @Factory43R 2 роки тому

      @@limitlesspowersports and you have no problem getting it to shift when your not using the clutch? The reason I ask is because I installed the cx on my quad and it’s super difficult to shift with out using the clutch. When I use the clutch it shifts fine tho.

      @@Factory43R Correct, make sure your free play gain is correct. You do need to let off the throttle when shifting up or down without using the clutch.

    Why was the quad not responding with turns and stuff

    • @limitlesspowersports
      @limitlesspowersports  2 роки тому

      Once I had time to go through the suspension on it. The spindles were pushed down for straight line stability but that makes the turn radius much larger. Plus they didn’t match.. one side was +2 and the other +3. The bnr shocks also have an adjustable cross over ring that should not have a gap greater than 1/2 inch. These were set to over 1 inch cross over gap. That means the bike was riding around on the super soft tender spring the whole time making for a lot of body roll.

      I just installed fox floats and Houser xc a arms. I have my caster at -4 and camber 1/4in. Haven’t gotten to ride it proper yet. A lot more do before race reason.

      Hey. In this video they were 12* quad low but I found out that 14* is the most popular bend and to me felt more comfortable so I swapped to 14* quad low with houser +1 stem

    How do you like the Goldspeed wheels vs Hipers which most XC guys run?

    • @limitlesspowersports
      @limitlesspowersports  2 роки тому +1

      Goldspeed all the way.. One because I am a dealer for Gold speed 😎🤘 and hipers looks great they are light but every set I have got second hand the collars for the bead lock rings are spun so it can be a huge ordeal to rebuild them if they can even be repaired and no replacement parts are offered for older styles.

    • @barneychamorro
      @barneychamorro 2 роки тому

      @@limitlesspowersports I bought a brand new set of Hipers about 4 months ago and the front wouldnt stop leaking. I assembled them the right way.

    • @limitlesspowersports
      @limitlesspowersports  2 роки тому

      @@barneychamorro the best I can tell you is to soap them out really good and see if you can find the leak. If you do not see any bubbles it is probably the bead lock ring that is leaking. My front hiper on the ktm 525xc has been leaking for while 🤦‍♂️ It is bad enough I will definitely have to fix before it take it out riding again.

    • @barneychamorro
      @barneychamorro 2 роки тому

      @@limitlesspowersports the leak on both fronts definitely came from the beadlock rings. I was surprised that both rings were faulty. I ended up selling them and switching to Goldspeed. Have you ever encountered that with front new Hipers?

    I'm kinda lost on what your expecting this 450 to do , I'm assuming you want it to auto piolet you to the finish line hands free even maybe ,idk . Ride that damn thing it's the thumb lever on your right , use it , ride the shit out of it kinna like you stole it ,the outcome might move you up the list , call me crazy but it's not the bikes fault

      Just sharing a fail 😂 after this race and a few test rides I sent the shocks off and found they were sprung and tuned for 240lbs+ rider. I am 165lbs I could not compress it to get the bike to dig in. Got the fresh set of shocks back from Rocket Ron and it handles like a dream 😎 Live and learn. Have a good day

    • @limitlesspowersports
      @limitlesspowersports  2 роки тому

      Houser a-arms have a caster adjustment. It was -2 on one side and -3 on the other 😅 these numbers should match.. but for Xc riders should be +2 to +4 caster so I sent both to +2 and later found that the cross over gap on the BNR front shocks was way to large. It Should be 1/4-1/2 inch gap. Whoever set this front end up had it at 1.10 inches 😂 so basically the bike was riding on the very soft tinder spring the whole time. That makes for way to much body roll
