So glad to hear you're on the mend!! ... I had a heart attack and received a stint ... 10 years ago!! ... boy was it hard for me to climb my little hill, to my upper gardens for awhile, but you CAN get back to back packing and hiking again... baby steps, just like you said! ... We're all cheering for you!!

Praise God that you were not out on a trail somewhere when the heart attack occurred! Also praising God that the Dr was able to open up the blockage with a stent🙏💕 I am praying for you and your quick recovery 🙏🙏 Walking is the best thing for you to do!! I hope you start feeling much better and stronger real soon💕💕

Glad to hear your doing better, that was a little bit of a scare for me also, as a 65 yr. old former smoker I could have had an issue on one of my hiking/camping trips this summer. Makes you think...

I had a MI almost a year ago (I was 68) and yes you can get back to backpacking. I had a 100% blockage on my LAD and after cardiac rehab, losing weight, changing my diet, and regular exercise I am feeling better than before my MI. I started backpacking again in June although not strenuous trips. Honestly, it wasn't baby steps, you do need to put in the work, but you will get there.
