Well you CAN install games optimized for Series X/S onto a USB mechanical hard drive but they won't run from there. Still good for "cold" storage for games that you aren't currently playing and faster than re-downloading. Thanks for the upload. 364GB of internal storage is very tight these days.
That is a good point of storing the optimized games onto the mechanical hard drive so its easier to copy over as and when you need. Especially for my internet too as i'm stuck on 24mb download haha!
So this is able to download faster games like Call of Duty and Nba 2k24 etc? because I had that issue with my external hard drive not being fast enough to run these games so is this a good option.
It's gigabit not gigabyte. So 3 gigabit per second means 384 megabyte. Still slower than regular ssd. Which they are up to 500-550mb. I bought Wd c50 1tb and transfer speed 5-5.5 gbps. 700 mb. Regular nvme even Gen 3 up to 3500 mb...

This one is good I got the 1TB model for $125 USD during christmas time.
The one on Amazon is 201 aud rn which is 132 usd

Just got one of these and it doesn't work so have to return it. 😣 It's brand new as well. Not happy.
