Shudder is the most horrifically amazing streaming service. So many great originals, classic, documentaries.
I hate the set up of it though. I want to see more newer modern movies but it's always the older ones in the front I have to dig deep for newer movies

Shudder is great, you have to dig in there though they have a ton of gems that you don't come across if you just look at the "recently added etc. page" Ican't wait for late night with the devil,I can't remember the last time I was this psyched for a movie. The Omen sequel honestly looks good, and if Nosferatu by Robert Eggers is a fraction as good as The Witch Ill be happy. Oh I just saw Out of Darkness last weekend and it was awesome. A cool twist on a basic plot but really well done.
the only thing I'm not psyched about with SHUDDER, they should really break it down into subgenres.They could Make it interactive, I feel like horror fans love creating new sub genre names. Maybe that's just me. "Public Domain Horror" I think could officially be considered a genre. Lately I've digging "Jewish Demon Horror" like "The Offering" which is also "Autopsy Horror". I really want "Zoroastrian Demon Horror" to be a thing.

This movie should be used as a master class in film making when it comes to suspense cinematography. The way this movie is film from the very first picture frame, all the way to the end, just captivates you. The dialogue style is so well executed. The acting is top tier. This movie is just so well done.
Just finished watching the movie, does not disappoint! Really questions you wither its reality or just your mind playing tricks on you, really cool that it all takes place in one place like I did not expect to be this good! Man Shudder has been killing it with these releases, I can't wait to watch more movies, Im such a horror, mystery, thriller buff, also cult like movies are cool. 😱💀🙈🙈🙈

I just finished this movie and I liked it. I read some comments under another video, of the same movie, here on YT. They didn’t seem to like the movie much but I typically enjoy movies others do not. So I watched anyway.
It’s pretty good imo. Excellent acting. Kept me interested the whole time. Some may think it’s a bit slow but I prefer these types of scary movies over the slasher horror type. I’m typically not very impressed with most horror movies these days but I liked this one. Definitely worth the watch.

@lordmiow My guess from the trailer is that she knew him as a kid, and he did something to wrong her in the past and now she wants revenge. Could be way off though, looks like a really well done movie.

Thank you for this film! I have been SO SICK of these dumb ghost/paranormal/zombie movies calling themselves horror and people thinking thats so scary. Its juvenile. Just my opinion, I'm not 14 anymore. Even back then I was picky about what I found scary.
This is truly what psychological horror is and it was done so so well!
If you hated it read on, so maybe you'll catch a few things that you didn't rendering it boring or dumb, you can also assume, maybe you don't like the genre. But understand the movie before calling it dumb because it was anything but.
**SPOILER ALERT** (sorry)
This is a movie I can say really got to me and I experience sleep in a very similar way.
I have narcolepsy and sleep paralysis happens to me on a nightly and every morning basis and it cycles over and over and over and feels like it goes on for hours.
With it you can have terrifying hallucinations that seem 100% real and shaking it off afterwards can take hours, eveen all day. (I am 50 now, as of a week ago and have been having major sleep disorders since I was in a crib, but it all got much much worse when I was 6 and again when I was 9 and amped up more to a tune of complete lack of rest and severe insomnia when I was 14.
People who have narcolepsy are often given a medication called Xyrem. It's very powerful, it needs to be very carefully measured and you can ONLY get it in the US from one pharmacy that your sleep specialist must take a special course for to even be allowed to prescribe it. Only those who have narcolepsy can be prescribed it.
It is, however, also the well known "date-r*p*" drug and is a party drug as well in lower doses. Its very easy to OD on as discussed in the movie.
Xyrem is GHB. GHB is Xyrem.
So for all of you who thought this movie was stupid or "boring" it could be because you have no reason to have that depth of sleep disorder knowledge at all.
A lot of people have had sleep paralysis, you probably don't have any type of sleep disorder and people who have sleep disorders don't automatically have sleep paralysis.
Also to ease your panicked mind, you're 100% safe, not having a seizure, nothing bad is happening physically, it'sjust extremely scary and try to remember what you're seeing is not real and you'll wake up fine shortly, it may feel like forever. It can just happen if you're over tired, sick, or for absolutely no reason at all.
If sleep paralysis is something you have had randomly throughout your life,
please think about the movie in the sense of being in that nightmare then in the paralysis and horrifying hallucinations and maybe you'll understand the meaning of the song, the paranoia, the hallucinations, the fear and the GHB.....Xyrem. It was an extremely well thought out movie and whoever wrote the script has a very clear and thorough understanding of narcolepsy, the nightmares and hallucinations and the knowledge of why and how Xyrem is given/taken and for what, and how intricate the dosing is, how easy it is to forget you took it and take too much, or OD in general.
I am really sorry for the people who truly didnt like this movie. Even if I didnt have this knowledge or the commonality to understand every little detail and what it meant, I still really loved the movie.
I was coming straight to the comments as soon as it was over to go off about how amazing it was. So I hope this helps people think differently about the plot and that literally every detail had significant meaning.

This was fucking stellar. If you don't like foreplay in your horror you'll probably be bored but this was done so well. All the elements are present. It was all put together and not a slap job. The climax? Whew. Hopefully someone puts a physical release out because I need this on disc.

This is so bloody good. I really enjoyed every bit of it and was kept on edge and wondering throughout. Performances from both leads and that ending were chefs kiss. Some of you in the comments don't understand great movie making. You probably think movies like Smile, Boogeyman or Slenderman are the best movies of all time lol.

I have just watched it and being objective, it is a good movie. I will try not to spoil you: maybe it has not lots of jumpscares or lots of scenarios/characters, but the plot is good enough to keep you watching and the atmosphere is scary and well achieved. It is more like psychological horror, so if you are looking for a terrifying/disturbing movie maybe this is not. This is just simple and good; as a horror/suspense enjoyer I recommend you this movie.

It was made in like 76 maybe and it starts Peter Fonda and Loretta Swit (Hot Lips Houlihan) they're vacationing in an RV and they accidentally witness a Satanic human sacrifice. And then they getting chased by the Satan Worshippers. It's like if Convoy and the OMEN had a child.. it's wicked good.

What I will say is I wasn’t expecting 40 minutes of them sitting trying to figure each-other out but I like the plot twists
God damnnnnn we just finished watching this. Highly recommend! Im not sure if I get the main meaning but, as to my understanding, the title says a lot bout himself as a serial killer. The cinematography and the color on this movie is very brilliant and the panning and the flow. One moment it is intense, then calm then the suspense will make you want to fast forward it. In the first few minutes you'll wonder who is the real villain in the movie. And the twist. Perfectly done
I'm just happy to see William Montgomery is doing movies now.

The movie was pretty good. Definitely worth watching. It did a phenomenal job at building tension and making you feel uneasy. I wouldn't say its a slow pace, but its definitely not face paced. And although you're never really sure what to believe durring the movie, at the same time, the ending is kind of predictable. Like i said, its definitely worth watching, I watched it durring a stormy night, which really added to the intensity of it. Overall, I'd give it a 7/10, its definitely better than most Shudder originals.
