Hopefully you can learn from some of my mistakes. Skateboarding, it is earned every session. Drop a comment and say what's up. The interaction is what builds the community and that is all this about.
The nightmare is a fun one. Very different from anything I have skated. I can't heelflip it because of the nose. It is a battle. Glad the toxic is good for you. I had some good nose slides on that one with BIG wheels on it too. There is enough room that the wheels don't bite the ledge. Stay Rad Sir.
We just have to keep putting the work in. I guess it goes to show how satisfying a make is that we are willing to take all the misses to get there over and over again. I can't think of other things in life like it. Stay Rad Sir
You can pull so many life lessons from this video. My big takeaway is to trust the process and build consistency in the things you enjoy. That's how you get better.
The joys of skateboarding. Even when you think you have a trick there are times you just struggle with them. Its that though that give us the joy when we land a trick and why we keep coming back to it.
It’s crazy to me that you’re more comfy on the FS lol. That one is a lot harder to hold imo. Even tho they aren’t as consistent as you want yet, they look really good. And I mean, the consistency will only improve with time :) (and practice)
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding 😂🤣 don't be to hard with yourself. Go skate have fun and the rest is comming by its own. one thing to say go find some for pushing each other in a session.
This is happening to me all the time! There are day when you land everything easily and some when you just struggle with every tricks! The way you did the video was actually very instructive because you could point out every mistakes that you resolved right after! 👍🏼 I think it will help me with my front noseslide that I really suck at ! I'm on my way to Venice now for a slappy session ...🌴🌴🌴🤔
Appreciate you Sir. You are the one that inspired me to learn nose slides. Haven't ollie's into them yet. FS nose slide to me is all posture. If keep my back straight and a slight bend in the knees it works out. Additionally, when I roll up I try and set my foot in the board to stop the heel from slamming down. My toe is slightly off the board and I try and rest my heel on the edge of the board just below the nose. So a 45 degree angy. If I straight straight across the nose I slam the heel. Stay Rad Sir.
This is like doing the opposite of Trick Tips. Here is everything not to do 🤣. That is my skate life, learn it and then relearn it everytime. You have kickflips and nollie shuv tricks consistently. You definitely put the hours in and earned it. Stay Rad Sir.
Nice session bud. I know the struggle all too well, consistency has never been my strong point! Always cool to see the full journey through battles like this. Keep killing it dude 🔥
Awesome, this was the first Lake I skated. Such a different shape, I could leave it in the shop, I had to pick it up. This board is great for nose slides. Love the history of the board. If you find one definitely consider it.
That IS Skateboarding you're absolutely right! I landed my first no comply in almost 20 years after about 40 tries and I think that might be it for the next decade 😂😂. But that's what it's all about And as long as it's still fun 🤷♂️
Absolutely still fun. A bad day of skating is better than a day not skating. Filming and talking about it really helps me learn. Appreciate you checking it out.
Just sharing the adventure. I am probably never going to be very good but that's ok. Maybe that is what this is about. Showing that you can still have a good time even if you are not really built for skateboarding. Stay Rad Sir. You can definitely take your skating places.
Hey man I feel your pain when it comes to consistency. Skateboarding really is a mind game and sometimes it can be very frustrating. Saying that… some other days we go out and bang… everything seems so good and that’s the joy of it! I really don’t think I could skate that board…. Well done on those nose slides. Nice little line at the end. What about a shuvit out? Oh and yes… and glad you didn’t get killed by that tiger while recording the video! 😂
Yes the tiger was coming at me pretty aggressively 😂. The board is really fun to skate. That squared off nose feels good on the foot and makes for a stable noseslide. There are definitely good days and that is why we keep going back. I would love to get the shuv out, like I said I just don't know how it is going until it is over. I need more repetition and more board control. I think by the time I am 60 it should all come together 😂. Stay Rad Sir and watch out for 🐈
I like the design for that board. It reminds me of a documentary with Christian Hosoi. Something about like a shark tail. (The way the tail was designed I mean) I can see what you mean when it comes a consistency. I've been doing this for almost 7 years and sometimes I just still can't kickflip consistently, but yet somehow I was able to learn kickflip variations. Perhaps it's the bad habits that make it inconsistent and not the muscle memory which makes it work.
Perhaps. however, I think if it was a bad habit then we would mess it up the same way each time and it would be easy to correct. I can mess up noses slides 5 different ways or roll away clean. None of this is is easy for me, that is for sure. But we will keep pushing. Hosoi had the Hammer Head. I skate a Hosoi Hammer head in the bowl. Love the shape of that board. This board is different from anything I have skated. Honestly couldn't heelflips it. I think one of the cutouts is exactly where my ankle want to flick. However, it is a fun board and made for nose slides. Maybe I can learn slappy trail slides on it.
I realized nose slides are cool again. So I might as well just do them. Trends are so weird. I was trying to stay away because I need TS better and all I did was NS's. Watching Nine Club and they were saying how SW TS is basically a NS so maybe I could try stalls on curbs to learn those!
I have been working on them for like two years 😂. The consistency is my issue. What I like about the slappy nose ide is that doesn't beat me up or wear me out. When it goes well it feels good. I just need to learn something out of them.
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding Keep trying small ones with fakie and regular dismount! That's how I learned and how I'm learning TS! Little ones hop on hop off. Then sliding is easier I think.
So I decided a few months back to just concentrate on the back Slappy nose and I’m glad I did, I’ve really got it dialled. I’m not as in control with the front Slappy nose but have managed to get them pretty consistent now however find it hard to stand up and be in control fully! I visualise putting my full force down on to the curb for the slide. For bs I imagine slapping my nose just behind me if that makes sense?? For fs I get low and lean back as if for a Nollie and push the nose in! Sliding is the best so I work on these every session! Consistency…. Well so I’ve got these down and I go to do a bs slappy 5050…. They’ve left me again??? Keep hitting feeble lol. I had these 100% solid last month! Oh well this is Skateboarding 😂
I have never landed a backside 5050 outside of the bowl or slappy. Every time I try them it turns into a train wreck. I think for me I just don't skate enough. I get the weekends at best some time it is just 2 times a month with work. In 14 more months my skate will improve leaps and bounds and with that hopefully the consistency. However, soon I will start shoulder replacements so there will be a recovery period. It is journey for sure.
@@AdventuresInSkateboarding you’ll be back stronger than ever, new shoulders! Wow it’s a good age to get them sorted, stay patient, you’ll be back sooner than you think! Always the way with doctors, they underestimate skateboarders 😂 keep us all updated with the recovery pls , you got this😀🙏
