Do you find it difficult hauling that much kit on the trains? I’ve gone to carry-on only for my trips to Japan, just because it makes public transport easier. I’m also film only on one camera system, and not shooting UA-cam videos, makes it a bit easier 😉
So I only have one bag when going about, when moving between hotels I wear the backpack and the messenger bag is put on top of the suitcase using the handle slip through thing on the back. This way I have only one piece of luggage and a backpack on the trains.
If you haven’t done Aomori before it’s pretty amazing and undiscovered by western tourists. The morning market in Hachinohe at Tatehana Wharf is worth getting up at the break of dawn for if you are near there on a Sunday. Looking forward to the video!
We could meet at Tokyo Patrick, I can gift you a roll of the single best film for shooting cherry blossom, the Fortia SP. Whether you’ve got questions about Japan, need tips on locations, or are hunting for film and cameras around Tokyo area, feel free to ask me. I could always help with translation.
Great to see you like our Tri Charge, have a good trip and shoot some nice videos and photos!
Neat breakdown. Like the battery pack
The clamp is key! I tend to use one more than a tripod when I'm overseas. Especially for timelapse.
The clamp is one of the best things I have bought.
Wow I’m also going to Japan with a load of film gear next week 😅

Ooh, two bags full of film. Nice. Looking forward to a video about your trip.
That much gear would cause me crippling indecision!
You're not wrong.

Where do you get your slide film processed?
I do it myself with my Jobo
