I have an lg style 4 plus and couldn't figure out why my ear bud cord wouldn't plug into my audio jack and the aux cord wouldn't stay plugged in, until I saw your video. It never occurred to me that one of the tips broke off in there. Your method was brilliant. I tried different sized pen tubes, but like you said, the one from a wd-40 can did it. I heated up the tip of a dart and used that to expand the tube hole till it fit on hot and tightened as it cooled. then it stuck on there. After a few tries, it pulled out the middle part of the broken off tip, and then after my second try, I got the end of the tip out. Then the internal phone speakers started working again, as well as another aux cord. Thanks

Worked with a ballpen ink refill - amazing! The first two pens I tried, the refill fitted in the socket but didn’t work, even with trying to open them up a bit. The third fitted perfectly and - bingo! Thanks 🙏
Thank you so much for making this! At first, I tried a Capri sun straw, that was too small, then I tried a pen tube, that was too small. Then I used a pen tube and enlarged that hole a little more with a tiny screwdriver, which did the trick! It worked perfect to fit on the top of the broken headset jack and then it totally pulled it right out of the hole - like butter! This totally works!
Thanks! This worked like a charm. I had to do the superglue part, the important parts are to make sure you cut/empty the tube so the glue air-dries & the glue is only put on the inside of the tube.
I had to take several pens apart to find the correct sized straw, but once I had the correct size, the broken headphone piece came right out of the jack. Thank you so much for sharing these tips!

I have been looking for a solution to a broken jack in my headphone socket for ages and this is the first one that actually fixed the problem, I have tried a match and a length of wire which was hopeless but this worked first time thank you.
Thanks so much!! This worked for me. Took a little bit to find a pen with right size inner tube to get a snug fit. Also in my case I had to remove from my phone connector a piece of the audio jack broken outer core first (it came out easily with a tiny flat edge screwdriver) in order to completely expose the inner stuck jack prong. Put a dab of super glue into the pen inner tube, wiped off the inner tubes sides so I didn't mistakenly super glue it to the jack walls. Let it sit overnight about 12 hours and then pulled the pen inner tube out slowly and that successfully extracted the broken jack plug which was now stuck to the tip.
