    Thank you for this, Steeda! I'm hoping to go to my first event later this month at Thunderhill in CA. My Si may not be fast or best handling, but I'm excited to learn and get better with it!

    Great content!! I'm a rookie when it comes to autocross, I have a 19 GT/CS that I've been setting up, so far from Steeda I have the front and rear adjustable sway bars and end links, adjustable struts with Steeda progressive rate lowering springs and on the rear i have adjustable shocks with the billet top shock mount. Also, the car has a Roush cai and a bama tune. I know this is gonna put me in a higher class but thats ok because it's gonna push me to get better. Next up will be tires and rims and the Steeda short throw shifter, if you have any suggestions as far as tires and rims I'm all ears. Once again thanks for all the great content.

      Hey Jeff - That's all awesome! Happy to hear you're interested in getting involved in autocross. I promise you, it's highly addictive! In terms of your current setup, if you were to stay within a max width of 285mm on tires, you'll land yourself in STU. Any wider, and you'll probably have to make the jump to CAM-C. As for wheels & tires, it really boils down to what goals you have with the car. If it's mostly a street car, plenty of people run 20" street tires for the occasional autocross event. However if you're more serious, then an 18" or 19" setup might be better. Give our sales staff a ring at 1-800-950-0774 and they'll be happy to guide you in the right direction! -Chris

    I can't race my v6 in any stock class anymore. It's got a full gt350 suspension conversion. Including ford's toe arms and it's got massive wheels on it. But cam..... There's a party waiting to happen. And like we say in the San Diego region. If you race in CAM. You won't ever lose.

      It's a 60 buck weekend day and you car relatively needs little prep. A track day can cost starting at 150 to 300 and if you add insurance you still need to consider if your car needs better brakes and an oil cooler. Lotta these cars these days don't last the full 20 min sessions.

    • @SoundBoy808
      @SoundBoy808 4 роки тому +4

      @@ZackNakazora1 yes exactly. Autocross is less expensive, less demanding on the car, lower speeds and less sustained driving, so its a GREAT way to start AND its actually real racing, so its competitive fun. Track days are a different matter. Also great fun, but very different in many ways not least in the effect on your car and wallet!

    Step 1. Sell the mustang and literally just buy anything that isn’t a mustang. 👍
