DIY | How to Build a Modern Coat Rack

Not having somewhere for people to hang their coats when they come over for a visit has always been a problem at out house. In this video, I solve that problem by making a simple, modern coat rack out of a red oak board and a dowel rod. A simple but effective solution.

Very nice. Another way to get that red oak to go jet black is to apply iron acetate (vinegar and dissolved steel wool) stain.
